@brazzios_84 gaming journalists are usually qualified. To degree level. They have learnt a certain amount of responsibility. Influencers mummy bought them a camera and set up and they go about trying to get freebies and paid. It’s not a good way to deal with reviewing or advertising.

Magazines and websites will get far more scrutiny and regulation.

@zupertramp I didn’t say that. The fact of the matter is most hackers get offered a deal and then get high paid jobs in cyber security. I said people making out this is a heinous crime and want the hacker abused in jail have a whacked sense of what a serious crime is. This sort of crime is viewed so harshly because it can lose people money. So media programs people to vilify it. Where stuff like rape most of the time you don’t get found guilty or you get a ring sentence. I’d just like common sense mate

@theMEGAniggle aye, I’m not fussed about seeing it at all. The gaming media has flooded it to me mind you. They could have ignored it and it would have had a much smaller audience. The code is the big thing but surely the minute it gets released dataminers get that all anyway? GTA V code is easily getable I assume?

@lindos exactly. The gaming industry is so precious. It lives in such a privileged bubble. We saw a few work in progress shots and most of us probably shrugged and went who cares it’s years away. It was nice to see a few shots but doesn’t tell me anything we didn’t already know.

Seen comments here and elsewhere about the hacker should rot in jail and he should be abused in jail. It’s like get a grip people.

1- anyone judging a game on a leak is an idiot.
2- why are devs punished? And how?
3- don’t make this a bigger deal than it is.
4- some people live in a bubble that they feel this is a drama in their life “that’ll pass” - people are dealing with death, illness, homelessness… cmon people.

The reality is some people got a look at an u finished game, this often happen is promo builds anyway.

Often photos from movie sets leak and it’s not the end of the world.

@themightyant I don’t disagree but it did see the light of day and people were charged $60 and within a year it’s not even a game anymore. Luckily I didn’t buy it but the industry needs regulation and protections put in for gamers. It’s a ridiculous situation and it’s happening more often and with everyone seemingly intent on chasing GaaS money it’ll happen more often.

Since when did “expansions” and “DLC” become two seperate things? People in comments claiming thus is standard? What? What other games make that distinction?

Also plenty of games have given sizeable “updates” for free.

People do talk in comments like the know everything and patronise everyone else.

This maybe paid for content but (and that’s fine) it’s not been clear from any of the articles…. Making ridiculous claims about wording and how the industry works is stupid. Every firm seems to make up what they call DLC/updates/expansions etc. i would say there is no longer an industry standard.

I thought I had but it’s saying I hadn’t. Bizarre. Claimed now. Would have been grumpy if I’d missed this month!

I like the contents of the edition but 280 is nuts. I’ve preordered for £50 and I’ll stick with that.

I’m glad it’s a small amount saying they’d pay and it’s a small fee under 9 dollars.

@EverydayRobot it’s an article about the womens inclusion in fifa. We don’t care if you have no interest. Post in a different fifa thread. Most of us are sick of seeing people post they aren’t interested in threads about the womens game

Can I play the management mode as a WSL team? If not then they are a token gesture. I want to take charge of a womens team same way I can a man’s team.

If it’s just friendlies or one off cup/trophies it’s not really a big deal - in as much it will seem shallow. I hope the womens teams are given the same modes as the mens.

I’ve had a lot of fun with this game. Had it a few weeks and it really is a pretty good game.

I’m all in for the Jordan mode. Also might get the season pass nba bundle depending on the U.K. price if it gets a release.

@Akurusu I’m not sure I agree. All of them seem as toxic as each other to me. Size of fan base might mean it seems that way. It’s like politics all sides are toxic in their extremes. Often the persons leaning decides which one they think is worse.

@Would_you_kindly yeah that’s coz humans use it. Comment sections, Facebook, insta, email, apps that let you message. All of them become toxic as soon as humans get near it. Smaller online communities work all the while they stay small. On paper Twitter should be awesome. In reality it’s a horror show. Bit like democracy.

The campaign is good. Good story and good gameplay. FACT.

Its a fair length too.

The stuff after is pointless yet somehow "ruins the game" for everyone but me... Ive played this game like that stuff doesnt exist. The campaign really is worth playing. I havent done the extra campaign stuff yet - DLC.

Stinky practise from stinky games companies.

Games like this don’t need a “limited release” these games should have full digital and full phyiscal release.

These limited runs should not be for big names games.

The likes of this Star Wars and Doom, Turtles do not and should not be involved. All have had limited runs recently and it’s frankly ridiculous

@themightyant agreed the most important thing is the personal Killer to Filler ratio and how much you already own. For me it’s all a bit meh. I’ve downloaded a couple of things this morning but I’m far from blown away.

@get2sammyb which is remarkable seeing how many games they removed. Especially their own studios games. It’s a lot of games I’ll give you that. It all still seems a bit flat to me. It shows the importance of clear messaging and PR. They killed my hype and I’m stacked for three years.

@pip_muzz you’d think these would be a perfect fit for GPU but again most first party GPU games have dlc or a service element to get more money in. I hope they do make them.

Not enough Microtransactions can be squeezed into it and no live service elements so onto the scrap heap.

That’s the element of the pitches they didn’t like. Can we milk 100s on top of the 50 quid we will charge?
