Removal of the first party titles is so stupid. They are so half pregnant with the idea of PS Plus it’s nuts. Maybe they don’t think they can compete with Gamepass and just don’t care?

Ya know what makes me not want to buy your game? A developer who blames players for their game’s issues (even if they are minor) and then dev blames the media for statements that that said dev made.

This is a very familiar and ***** formula. I am (was) interested in No Rest For The Wicked, but maybe I’m not now. I don’t want to support lunacy.

Currently on a kick of Japanese developed games and the difference between US based games and Japan based ones is stark.

Suits all over the US games. Ideas abound in the Japanese ones.

Nah. Game was mid at best.

I understand the desire for growth and all, but the simple fact is Sony does first party single player games very well and they should invest more in that. Currently playing Astro Bot and it's such a fun time! Their first party stuff is why I have a PS in the first place and have since the PS1 days! Every game company wants to have the next fortnite, but I think all this proves is that Fortnite is a fairly successful one off thing.

@Yusuo I've read the same thoughts in reviews, so I think I'm ready. I grew up on old school RPGs, which is why I am excited. Google is how I got through Bloodborne, so I'm not afraid to if I need to. I've also looked up some beginner tips for it because, honestly, I'm not great at games. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Got this with a gift card after the holidays. Going to start it up once I complete Astro Bot. It'll be my first Atlus style RPG, so I'm excited!

I am as big a fan of GTA as they can get, but the game has to come out first. Rockstar hasn't let me down yet, but in the era of corporate greed, rushed launch dates, and post launch patch jobs, I will buy this when we learn it's actually good based on reviews and tech analysis.

I love Troy Baker, he is fantastic in Indiana Jones, but I am also excited to see more from Ben Starr as well. He's talented and his performance as Clive in FF16 was phenomenal. We are fortunate to have these talents!

I'm lucky if I have a single friend who has time to play a game when I am free, let alone 2 friends. Busy lives don't lend themselves to a lot of time to play a game with more than one person. Just weird.

Troy Baker is easily my favorite videogame voice actor alongside Jennifer Hale. Incredible talent and I watched a brief snippet of Baker as Indy and he did a phenomenal job. I can't wait to dive into the game.

I also played FF8 extensively and couldn't beat it back in the day. When remastered launched, I got it and figured out I had the GF usage all wrong and realized that equipping magic was the key. I quickly became OP and beat the game with all summons and only a few trophies missing. It's very good! (I still think FF7 is my favorite, but it's really good!)

So the solution to the incomplete game and poor optimization is...

Oh wow, they are doing a great job of selling this game. It looks very good and I hope it turns out well. I am almost certain to get it.

I remember hearing about this game and I had no clue it was launching already. I thought it was a way out.

Every time I click onto this site, a playstation site, I see a large ad for the game on the right side.

I am very interested in this game and I think anyone who likes turn based RPGs is aware of it.

Once I read they fix the performance mode to actually hit 60fps, I'll pick it up.

Same company that did the TR remasters? That is good news.

Patiently waiting to be able to download the plucky squire. Still can't for whatever reason.

I just find it frustrating that square didn't do the work to make the game look good on PS5 and instead we are going to let them get away with making more costly hardware solve the problem instead.

I was certain I was in the minority when picking performance mode. This is a nice surprise.

Ya know I had thought that Final Fantasy 8 was just way too hard back in the day. Of course I was like 12 and didn't understand the junction system well.

The remastered game came out and I bought it and quickly realized how easy it was to become over powered and I absolutely loved the game.

Just finished Jusant and I loved it. I would like more of that, so this is exciting to me!

Any idea if we will get new trophies/achievements? I don't need a reason to dive back into this one, but I'd love it if there were some new ones to earn.

I will be playing this one. More Tactical RPGs, please. I'd be happy with a FFT port or a remaster.

I hear them talk a lot about Assassin’s Creed, but the best game they’ve launched since 2018 was Prince of Persia the Lost Crown.

I feel like this continues to be an issue at Sony's end. They launch the games, they run like crap, then an emulator update comes out that fixes the problems. Legend of Dragoon had something similar back when it launched.

I read this as the performance mode will be 120fps and regular mode will be 60fps. Weird if that isn't the case, honestly.

If Jason says it then I believe it. He doesn't just throw information around. He actually has sources.

I have been patiently waiting for a long time. Tactics Ogre Reborn was amazing and I spent 210 hours in it. Final Fantasy Tactics was my first ever Tactical RPG way back on PS1 and I would buy a remaster/remake in an instant. I hope they do the same art style as TO:R because I really liked the aesthetic of it. Took me back to playing on PS1.

60fps. So happy to see that note. Maybe it's not a huge deal, but I feel like Sony does a fantastic job of giving us at least an option of 60fps.

I haven't read too much into it, but I'm not sure how the roguelike portion will work. I imagine there are upgrades and such that you will keep.

I'm not usually a roguelike fan, but this game does look quite good.

This game reminded me how much I love a good turn based RPG. I played the poop out of it and enjoyed it thoroughly. If we want more of these games, snap them up!

Honestly, I never understood Hellblade 2. The first game was amazing, but it seemed like the story had been told. A sequel was just a weird idea to me.

Then they announced it would be 30fps.

Then they announced they were prioritizing widescreen and most people would have black bars top and bottom.

I was out after the last note. Then some (not all!) reviews confirmed my thoughts. The first game told the story and it was done. A sequel was a stretch.

I have never not enjoyed this game. I think they do a good job with it.

I haven't tried the persona games, but this one seems pretty awesome to me. Never really cared about romance options in games.

Bummer! I was really looking forward to this one. Oh well, I'll give it a go in the backlog rotation. One day!

Does anyone know if this is a cozy type game? It sort of sounds like it is.

My wife wants some new games and she doesn't like anything that has high stakes. She likes chill games like the sims or stardew valley.

I'd like to gift this one to her if it's a more chill experience.

Just give me a version of this on PS5. It can be a remaster or a port, I don't care.

Looking at this again after a day to see what the stats are and 80% of responses say they at least prefer 60fps.

Helldivers 2 is amazing, I really love it and have put a fair amount of hours into it. I plan to keep playing it and enjoying it.

That said, I don't get why there always has to be warring factions over seemingly everything.

Really having a lot of fun in Dragon’s Dogma 2. There is a lot of drama about the game, but in case anyone needs to know: you don’t have to spend any money on microtransactions.

The game is a lot of fun, but it’s very much an old school RPG. It may not be for everyone, but it’s really been an amazing experience so far.
