More power doesn't equal a better experience, it's all about the games. For me personally, the PS5 has had very little to excite me and I currently have more games on pre-order for the Switch 2 than I do for PS5

I love my PS5 and I love my Switch 2 and I will pick the console that gives me the preferred experience for that particular game

Absolutely loved Driveclub and was probably one of my favourite racing games of all time. Loved that it wasn't just "finish first" for every race and you had interesting challenges. The social challenges were also really cool (when they worked at least)

Ah man, I remember Killer Bean when I was in college. I loved it, so this game has piqued my interest!

Funnily enough, I dug out my old Dreamcast from the loft of Christmas, with my copies of Shenmue 1 (both UK and Japanese versions) and 2, and there was something so special about flicking through the manuals. Unfortunately, most modern physical games don't come with a manual anymore (do any?)

Having said that, I have mostly gone the digital route over the last few years, mostly down to it being more convenient and not taking up any space. I do feel like digital games are massively overpriced however, and I only purchase them during sales.

I wonder if people would be less against this if it wasn't called a "Remaster" and something more along the lines of "GOTY" or "Deluxe" Edition?

To me, the word remaster sounds like it should be a bigger upgrade visually or a game that isn't already playable on the PS5. But I'll definitely be upgrading for £10, been wanting to replay this for ages.

I think the PS5 is a fantastic console from a hardware perspective, but I can’t help but feel a bit let down by the games so far. 3 years in and there’s only a couple of games that have really wowed me or felt like a big step up from PS4

A friend of mine had a similar issue with Horizon. She spent the best part of £100 only to get an empty box. Thankfully Amazon sorted it quickly for her, but it’s not good enough, especially for the amount they charge.

I haven't played a Sonic game since Sonic Adventure, so I personally won't notice any similarities. But I can see how people who know the Sonic games well would be upset, and I agree there seems to be one issue after another with every reveal of this game.

I actually saw this video yesterday before this post, but I think what he has done is amazing. Sure, there’s an external power brick the size of a small car, but the guy’s ingenuity is always great to watch.

Got super excited when I saw WRC 10, then realised it's the PS4 version. The haptics in WRC 9 were amazing, I can't go back to basic rumble now! Really looking forward to some PS5 games in the new subscription model

I refuse to pay £70 out of principle, but managed to snag the ps5 version for £60. Also happy to have the ps5 box on my shelf, figure if might also have a higher resell value if I ever get rid of it.

I remember going to Blockbusters, there was also a couple of local video rental shops within walking distance of my house. I don't ever remember dancing around the shop though...

The Evil Dead footage looked like a trailer, so this'll probably be how they get around all the licensing issues (do you need licensing for trailers?)

I don’t see anything wrong with the new face and I think one of the main reasons it looks different is due to the generation difference.

Look at Nathan Drake in Uncharted 4 versus Uncharted 3, it’s a completely different character model, but with the enhancements to facial animations and just improved skills in modelling, it results in a more natural looking face. You can see massive improvements to the animation in HFW.

Aloy is beautiful and I don’t think she looks fat, she just has a slightly rounder face than before. I think it’s great we have more diversity with the way females look in games, not every woman is a supermodel in real life 🙄

I absolutely love these games, but £60 is a little rich for my tastes, especially with my current situation. If it was £40 I would have preordered in a heartbeat.

The main question is, is this worth the £10 upgrade? It certainly doesn’t sound like it so far 😕

I am a bit disappointed having to pay the extra £10 - I appreciate you get extra content, but it's basically an extra character and a couple of outfits

I didn't buy the deluxe edition in the first place because these extra bits aren't worth the money to me...I'll wait to see if the PS5 enhancements are worth it though

I haven’t played any of the Yakuza games yet, but totally agree games are getting too big with too little to do. Shenmue is a perfect example of a smaller world filled with huge amounts of detail and is a type of game I’d much prefer to play.

I've had an issue in the past where a game will show twice - with differing stats for each...

It's funny you should mention this today - last night I browsed through this list to have a look at the trophies for Shenmue...it initially loaded the trophy list for Shenmue 2 until I went back a step and tried again.

Gotta admit, I’m very disappointed - I was hoping you would actually play AS Spongebob

The cards were fairly useful to jump to missions when playing the 2 Spider-Man games, but the only other PS5 game I have is Dirt 5 and I don't use cards for that.

I haven't even seen the help menu displayed yet, so I guess I'm either looking at the wrong times, or I've accidentally disabled it. The PS Store suggests that Miles Morales supports help guides, but it never showed.

Sega has so many great IPs, it's such a shame they can't be bothered to invest any money into them anymore. But it's great to see indie devs picking up the slack, with this and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (looking forward to that one)

@thefourfoldroot They have said they will be updated the haptics in the future, I was really hoping it would be in this update, but that sadly doesn't appear to be the case (at least from what I can see from the release notes)

I pre-ordered Tony Hawks from PSN, but then found a physical copy for much cheaper - it should have been simple to cancel the pre-order, but I had to hunt down a form on the Playstation website and wait a few days for confirmation.

This was over a month before the game came out, it should have been much easier to cancel from within my PSN account.

Could have been worse - Xbox only sold 21,000 🤷‍♂️

@hoffa007 Where did you pre-order from? I can only find it on Smyths and Argos, and currently Argos won't let me place the order...I do, however, have 3 pending charges for the game...

I don’t mind game reveals with cinematic trailers so much ONCE we’re into a console generation. It’s difficult to get excited about next gen visuals when you don’t see any gameplay, which is one area I think the PS4 reveal smashed it. Cinematic trailers give sod all indication of what new consoles are capable of

The ability to view your trophies locally/offline. I don't care much for trophies, but when I receive one, I am quite often interested what I earned it for or just like to view the trophy icon

But it is really frustrating to have to wait for my trophy list to update online. I know it's only a few seconds, but it pulls you out the game and seems like an unnecessary delay. It also means you can't view your trophies if you're not connected to the internet...who thought that would be a good idea?

I haven't played Uncharted 4 on hard, but I actually found Uncharted 3 to be a lot harder and frustrating. A friend of mine who recently played it for the first time agreed with me and we both played it on normal.

I'd say maybe we're both just crap at games, but I found that rest of the Uncharted series fine on the normal difficulty setting.
