Late but: basically marathoned Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, just wrapping up post-game stuff now. I've been going through the Fatal Frame 2 remake slowly since I only play it when it's dark outside lol.
I get where they're coming from but this is not the way. I don't think I've ever had a game spoiled for me before it actually came out, but it's happened loads of times on release day (the new RE being the most recent example). I think the best solution is themightyant's above me: a day 1 disc that has to be updated/has a code to prevent leaks, and then a regular complete version post launch without this update/code. I think this is the most elegant solution.
I'm interested but I'll wait for reviews, not just for the game itself but also for base PS5 performance. This release schedule is kind of strange though.
I can understand not wanting to have the cost of 2 discs, but I absolutely won't buy a weird half digital thing on day 1. I guess I'll either grab it on sale or borrow it from someone.
I don't necessarily hate the idea of having a no enemy mode or whatever, but I feel like it's a lot of extra work for very minimal returns. How many people would buy a horror game only because it had a no enemy mode?

Re: PS5's Coolest Collection of Controllers and Console Covers Are Out Now
These are kind of ugly but I still like them, they have a tacky charm. You can pry my Genshin controller out of my cold, dead hands though.

SE is making a lot of strange decisions lately, multiplatform stuff aside. Kinda seems like they're scrambling.
