Hotel Barcelona, the collaborative effort from Swery65 (Deadly Premonition) and Suda51 (Killer7, No More Heroes), will launch for PS5 on 26th September 2025, it's been confirmed. The game will be available digitally on the PS Store and a physical edition is also coming, priced at £24.99 / $29.99. Pre-orders for the boxed copy are live now.

There's no new trailer to accompany today's release date announcement, but you can watch an old one above.

For those unaware, Hotel Barcelona is a 2.5D Metroidvania set inside a hotel that's been turned into a slaughterhouse by the USA's worst serial killers. "When rookie U.S. Marshal Justine crashes near the hotel grounds, she’s pulled into a terrifying reality — and forced to unleash the monster lurking inside her mind: Dr. Carnival."

You can play alone or in online co-op with up to three other friends, all working to clear the floors of the hotel hosting serial killers based on VHS-era horror characters. When you die, your corpse becomes an ally for your next attempt, and you're said to build "strength" by utilising rogue-lite mechanics.

A press release adds: "Expect the unexpected — from unhinged humor to meta-narratives, non stop action and brutal boss fights that will leave you stunned (and slightly disturbed)." Hotel Barcelona will come to PS5 on 26th September.
