@TheArt Yeah. I feel Days Gone is redundant when there's the last of us. A sci-fi (although there's Returnal) or a fantasy rpg like the witcher/es is something sony hasn't really done much.

Also a horror game, so idk what happened with Kojima, but it seems sony missed him on that.

They seem to fill smaller games with 2nd and 3rd party studios, but none of those games are making me buy the ps5. Just the big block buster games.

@nessisonett but you can't have god of war level games if we pay $1 a month. Microsoft is yet to prove this. Microsoft can't always drop 100m+ bag for each publisher for each game to be day 1 on gp.

@IonMagus true. Was referring to ps4 and now.hopefully this pushes devs to make remasters. There are a few key must play ps3 games missing. They are still making remasters (amalut, ninja gaiden and mass effect for example)

@nessisonett but I bought gow, horizon, doom, doom eternal, mhw, dmc5, re2, ghost and others before any score was put out there. So I'm not a slave to the score neither. I just use it with what I was already thinking the game will be score-wise.

I'm betting an 84 with Returnal and that's enough to curmbstomp Nier.

I haven't seen bioshock collection sell more than horizon. Even with the name, being multiplat and being 3 games in 1. It's because it's an old game, and bioshock was more popular than nier back then and probably will be again with the confirmed bioshock 4.

Babylon's fall has way more of chance in competing with Returnal. I would even say it can beat it on sales.

@nessisonett They're not competing. No. Is not utterly ridiculous. Most people that buy it are this hardcore, niche group that pays attention to the score. Not some casual fifa fan.

I didn't buy days gone because it looked meh and the score confirmed it. Same thing with DS, but I felt that looked more boring than Days Gone. If both would've been 90s and word around were saying they were good, I would've gotten them, both. Millions of sales are happening because things like this. A hardcore guy gets the game because it scored high and he was interested, tells his friends and there it goes.

If the remaster gets an 67, the hardcore won't buy it. How will he sell a friend a ps3 game that was received bad?

@nessisonett They get 80s pretty often.That's enough for Returnal to blind a old ass looking game with just NIER name on it. The exception here is that it was a bad game before and it's an old ass game. Fifa, madden etc... are not.

@nessisonett even with the name, it won't sell like nier automata. It's 67 rated game with a slight graphics improvement and some QoL changes. It's a stepping stone for Returnal if Returnal is good enough.

Ps4 ps plus members can add the game through ps store. No need to have a ps5 now.

Idk if these mini campaigns are worth playing them. Just for a few cutscenes? i don't think it detracts from the main attraction which is the mp with friends.

Games drop in prices. If they really want it when they get a ps5, you just add it to the library via the pc store. I am doing exactly that. That's those 60+m problem they have to pay $70 and still the $60 later.

Why do you care if others have to pay later? The game's price might drop in 2 months if sony sees is not selling. The thing is, now you don't need to worry to play it day 1.

People hating wb for making their games GaaS, but some games actually do it well (killing floor 2, monster hunter world) so it's not the end of the world for anything that is not a single player game.
