HZD for pc was a waste of time. I expected 5 million since there are more pc players as they say (most of them don't have capable pcs so that narrative is pointless for sony). Those 700k people could've bought playstations and invested in ps plus and on other exclusives. Horizon was just a test in the water and trust me. They are not going to do that again with console seller games. PC guys didn't buy it. Plain and simple. That's one less game to make people jump and buy a playstation.

Returnal is set for march. No where near launch to start marketing.Roguelike hasn't been done at triple A level. How do you know it's niche if it hasn't been done before? People don't buy hades because it looks like a high res gameboy game. Why smaller indie open world games don't sell if it has the winning genre formula?

I like to bet myself the game will be good and so far I landed all of them, but I pre-ordered c2077 and I'm so glad I got the refund before anything of this happened, but it could've been a bad pre-order for me. I even held back because there were no consoles raw footage or reviews. God I'm glad I trusted my instints.

2. How can I prove it to you, if nobody has tried to sell rogue like genre at triple A level? Those indie games don't have the nextgen graphics to grab people anyways.

@funkyplasma I feel bad for demon souls remake. Should've been top 20 best sold games of the year but people just like games play for them. It's not because it's a remake, because re2 remake and ff7 remake did wonders (even if they are completely new compared to ds (demon souls, not dark souls or death stranding)

@Th3solution Sony has to give reasons to buy the ps5. This is a long term thing. Since there aren't many next-gen options, people would choose more between the few games. Returnal and Kena are set up right. Before any of the bigger name games release, they would be the first priority in getting them.

By the time horizon comes out, at least 20m ps5 would be sold. Sony just has to grab 5m in 3 days and the game probably made its money back and funded the third game.

@Bad-MuthaAdebisi really? Cause Shawn Layden and Jim Ryan would say otherwise. Maybe games NOW won't jump that much, but it certainly did. David Jaffe said a few thousands was a hit for their initial twisted metal games. Cost of life has rised up and games require more employees now.

why? we got 4 remakes (0-4) this gen and 2 of them are like their old version. We have so much resident evil already. Glad mhw sold super well. Capcom needs to refocus. DMC 5 needs a spin too to grab more players.

@KidBoruto I just checked. Dragonball is Teen but kids love the show and young adults that like it now is because they liked it when they were kids. The rest are E rated. The 2 I mentioned are M and they aren't recent games. Hopefully, like I said, this is their fly me to moon moment.

Also. Just in case you mention it later. I didn't say I wouldn't play those games. I want to play temtem atm but In my mind I know it's a game for everyone, leaning towards kids (if you've seen the animated trailer)

@Floki MLB is every year, so is on for this year too. Little Big Planet not done by Media Molecule was a drop in quality and driveclub, well it failed and the servers shut down fairly quickly. So I go back 2 the same 2 games I mentioned, which one is a remaster, and the other it's the worst of the series.

FMS8 might happen, but I'm just basing on the things "confirmed" (gow will probably get delayed). Halo Infinite looked awful and still needs redemption and yet, I'm still calling it a big hitter although I think it won't be better than bungie's halos. The Medium looks meh from what I saw from ign's gameplay video and from that studio's previous game, it ain't looking too good. STALKER 2 might be good, but they just did an engine trailer. Idk if it will be ready and idk if it will be a big game (just like Returnal), but we'll see.

Imo. ps4 first year (nov 2013- nov 2014) was one of the worst year in terms of exclusive games. I think xbox series s/x wants to beat that negative record.

Since SONY is no longer coming out from a losing gen, they manage to bring the games that are expected to be in 2021, and it can beat sony's 2020. They have 6 triple A games expected to be released this year. They had 6 triple A games published in 2020, and a timed exclusive.

I think 2011 will remain their best year in terms of games tho. I think they got 9 or 10 out.
