Re: Divinity Dev's Comments on Generative AI Trigger a Total Social Media Sh*tstorm

A.I. could be used to stop people from stealing:
Before, when you had to draw a sheep, you'd look in books, magazines and later on Google to find a reference. Nobody would bat an eye if you'd draw an exact copy of that. But it's still the work of another photographer.
So if you use an ai-generated sheep, it's composed out of thousands of transformed images that don't resemble any originals.
The problem is when the generated stuff is sold as (or as a replacement for) the work of humans. Anything up to that point is just brainstorming.

@Mr_Singh I just wanted to let you know my criticism of AC is not a personal attack on you. I've played every AC since the first one, and hated Shadows and Mirage.
I actually loved the Desmond parts. That's exactly why I think the modern day storylines were lazy afterwards. There used to be a real connection between past and present. After that it really became an afterthought. I'm only saying they should be integrated more, like they used to be. So again, I don't understand why you see this as a personal attack. I'm mostly agreeing with you here...
The @ was confusing because you seemed to be responding to what someone else said. The only thing we seem to disagree on, it the relevance of the modern storyline in Black Flag.
