Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush Is Official, an Open World Racer on PS5 This September 1

Update []:

Just like that, it's real. Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is a new arcade racing game from Milestone, developer behind the Hot Wheels Unleashed titles.

Here's the official announcement trailer:

This time, it's open world, set across four themed islands. It contains over 150 vehicles to collect split across four classes, and the track editor returns, this time within the open world.

It looks pretty good, and it's launching very soon on 24th September, 2026.

Original Story: One of the most reliable video game leakers, billbil-kun, has revealed the existence of a new, unannounced Hot Wheels game.

Likely to be announced during Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest showcase in a matter of hours, the game is reportedly named Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, and it's developed by Milestone — the same team that made the surprisingly good Hot Wheels Unleashed games.

The game is apparently coming to PS5 and other platforms in the busiest week of 2026, launching on 24th September. The report also claims the game will cost $49.99.

Nothing is really said about what exactly the game is, but I expect it'll be another arcadey racing game featuring all your favourite toy vehicles.

A trailer was apparently also leaked earlier today, but has since been removed.

According to Insider Gaming, which did see the trailer, Hot Wheel Infinite Rush allows players to drive through "a new open world", so it seems the game may have a free roam mode at least.

As mentioned, the Unleashed games are really solid arcade racers, so if Milestone is once again behind the wheel, I have a lot of confidence in this.

The game will probably show up during SGF, but there are various other showcases where it may be announced. Odds are it'll be revealed within the next few days at most.
