Update []:
Just like that, it's real. Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is a new arcade racing game from Milestone, developer behind the Hot Wheels Unleashed titles.
Here's the official announcement trailer:
This time, it's open world, set across four themed islands. It contains over 150 vehicles to collect split across four classes, and the track editor returns, this time within the open world.

It looks pretty good, and it's launching very soon on 24th September, 2026.
Original Story: One of the most reliable video game leakers, billbil-kun, has revealed the existence of a new, unannounced Hot Wheels game.
Likely to be announced during Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest showcase in a matter of hours, the game is reportedly named Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, and it's developed by Milestone — the same team that made the surprisingly good Hot Wheels Unleashed games.
The game is apparently coming to PS5 and other platforms in the busiest week of 2026, launching on 24th September. The report also claims the game will cost $49.99.
Nothing is really said about what exactly the game is, but I expect it'll be another arcadey racing game featuring all your favourite toy vehicles.
A trailer was apparently also leaked earlier today, but has since been removed.
According to Insider Gaming, which did see the trailer, Hot Wheel Infinite Rush allows players to drive through "a new open world", so it seems the game may have a free roam mode at least.
As mentioned, the Unleashed games are really solid arcade racers, so if Milestone is once again behind the wheel, I have a lot of confidence in this.
The game will probably show up during SGF, but there are various other showcases where it may be announced. Odds are it'll be revealed within the next few days at most.

Milestone has really been killing the arcade styled racing games 🔥
Damn this year has been more leaky then the Titanic
Cool, HWU 1 and 2 are fantastic arcade racers.
If you venture online with them you can really see the skill gap with people who learned how to play properly and the people who didn't (which to me is the sign of a game that's mechanically well made).
I love this series just wish the car packs were better..
FYI.. PS Plus Premium is 33% off right now at a little over $100 USD.. don’t know if it’s been reported yet but I got excited and wanted to share (may be old news, if so, I’m sorry)
Fantastic! I loved HWU so this will be near the top of the list in September for sure.

Thank goodness it wasn't by GameMill, that last one by them was a shocker (that game is still awaiting approval too by the way.)
I have that Sonic Team Racing game from monthly ps+ so I have enough kart racers in library (even if that game is cheating as hell).
@WolfyTn The bad part is that Plus is only discounted if you're not already on that tier. Existing users cannot re-up.
As for Hot Wheels...I'm in the minority, clearly, but I was underwhelmed by the Hot Wheels games. They just didn't click for me. The obstacles felt like they were cheating, the cars felt too similar, and the game felt like it was at least 90% about managing boost meters and finding the car with the biggest boost.
The last game was actually great fun so I’d probably check this out if it offers anything unique from the last game
Give it to me! I loved Unleashed and Unleashed 2.
@djlard Hotwheels Unleashed aren't kart racers.
@MrPeanutbutterz OK, for more "mature" racing I have all Need for Speeds.
@djlard Haha, with some of the dialogue in the NFS games, HWU is far more mature.
Joking aside, I take your point l.
Screamer and now this damn milestone your doing gods work
@MrPeanutbutterz Simply I have enough racing games in backlog 🤣🤣🤣
That's an awful date to release it now.
So everything is September at this point
@djlard A fantastic "complaint" to have, I salute you!
