Re: GTA 4 PS5, PS4 Port Rumours Continue to Pick Up Pace

NoCode23

My memories of playing GTA4 on my PS3 are not good. Horrible graphics, Nlko running around acting like he may have brain damage, and land vehicle physics that made any high speed or chases no fun as the streets all seemed permantly ice covered.

The Ballad of Gay Tony had some inprovments in graphics, vehicle handling, protagonist, story, and features. A remasterd BOGT at 60fps is all I desire of the three GTA4 games.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 585

4Pro from Plus Extra: GTA3 and Dying Light 2. On disc Handsome Jack.

With GTA3 I am first making a starter file, I just got the 99th hidden package, next up is Paramedic for infinite running. Fun so far, and looks and plays smooth in performance mode. However the brightness in game and my tv needs set to max.

Overall my only issues are the overdone constant gang attacks and fragile vehicle. Both are present in the original on PS2 but a disc with codes can disable gang attacks.

The more I play GTA3 the more I wish it would be an updated Liberty City Stories. Overall I find LCS more fun than GTA3 with its story, relayable side stuff, Tony over Claude, and it has motorcycles. Also a not cheat way to get a helicopter.

Dying Light 2, first play.

Borderlands Pre Sequel. Replay after a few years, this time with Aurelia, a vault hunter I had not previously played. So far half way through normal and I am enjoying her action skill,

Re: 38% of PS Plus Members Are Paying More for Extra, Premium

NoCode23

What may the numbers be at the present if yearly subs could not have been stacked 2 or 3 years ago and at less cost than present prices?

Last fall I dropped down from Premium to Extra. Premium is just disappointing with the games offered, that sceen shots and video can not be captured, and games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas that do not include their dlc. Also with streaming there is the obnoxious being kicked from the game after a short time of inactivity.

Re: Xbox to Blame for The Outer Worlds 2's Devastating $80 PS5 Price Point

NoCode23

80 bucks at release is only an issue for those that salivate at the mention of OW2 and just got to have it now. Also for those that are ok with the usual amount of post release updates Bethesda games usually require.

OW was ok when I ignored the long load times. Overall it is not a game I desired to replay and purchase dlc. OW2? I can wait for a price drop and the patching.

Re: Atomfall (PS5) - British Charm Elevates Riveting Mystery

NoCode23

@theheadofabroom,
In just writing "Lacking" at the beginning I view as without gun and melee play. While "Lacking" at the end would to me need "is" before lacking and thus would define the gun and melee action as done poorly. Also I read the entire review before reading the conclusion.

Re: Atomfall (PS5) - British Charm Elevates Riveting Mystery

NoCode23

@LiamCroft,
Your conclusion about gun and melee has that it lacks gun and melee, not that it lacks "good" gun and melee action.

Overall the game looks interesting and maybe the " clunky" combat can be patched. I'll wait for user evaluations, technical analyis on various platforms, and patches.

Re: GTA 6 Publisher Reiterates a Fall 2025 Release Window

NoCode23

@stefan771, How does my hunch make sense? GTA6 is a guaranteed fortune when released, its money in the bank. However when 6 releases GTA5's money printing will almost overnight decrease significantly.

GTA 5 been nearly pure profit for years, and the GTA5 money has been enough to probably pay most of GTA 6. Any planned delay would be then to milk the GTA5 cash cow for as long as possible while delaying the known instant fortune 6, new cash printer, will provide when released.

It's just my hunch, and yes whenever 6 is released I will begin a most probable hundreds of hours of my time playing and replaying it on and off line.

Re: Borderlands 4 Boasts Series' 'Deepest and Most Diverse' Skill Trees

NoCode23

My hopes for BL4 is that the ui is improved. Easy to read text size and boldness along with not over a background that makes reading text a chore.

For me I prefer to keep skill trees simple and not overchoicey. That is how I found Wonderlands to be, too many choices. Also simple easy to use vending machines. Basically Borderlands 2 readable text size, simple skill trees, and plain simple vending machines is what I like.

Re: Some Think GTA 6's Multiplayer Mode Could Be Sold Separately on PS5

NoCode23

There could be the base game for $70 and then online play at an added cost of $20-$30. However what I am most curious about is how will GTA+ be used. Will there be significant or major online features behind a paywall of GTA+. Enough features that could make GTA+ seem essential for online play. Maybe a monthly fee to play online that costs less than GTA+ but is included with GTA+.

Re: $100 for GTA 6 Is 'A Bridge Too Far' Even for Rockstar, Says Analyst

NoCode23

All this price speculation for a game that may not be released until 2026. Seriously is 6 gonna be released while 5 is still printing money? Releasing 6 will certainly nearly end the money flow called GTA 5 almost overnight.
GTA 6 will probably be near all profit when released as GTA5 money most likely paid for both 5 and 6.

My hunch is that $70 usd will be the minimum for the base game. There will be at least 2 deluxe editions that will bring in more money. Then there could be a not so free online this time. That could be with putting more features/benefits behind a GTA+ paywall.

Hopefully GTA6 is awesome and provides hundreds of hours of play like GTA 5 has because GTA7 may not be until the 2040's - 2050's.

Re: Would You Pay $100 for GTA 6?

NoCode23

@Fishnpeas, Yes there are some concerns that was not present with the release of GTA5 backing in 2013. Then I was only concerned with how it looked and performed on the PS3. Now I'm concerned about the game itself. Will it still be GTA or will it be similiar to the recent failed Hollywood trends and not be GTA as we knew it and want GTA6 to be.

Re: Would You Pay $100 for GTA 6?

NoCode23

$100 GTA6? For me GTA5 was a bargain at $60 purchased at release in 2013. Hundreds of hours of replays and online play for two years. Online played like no added cost dlc and there was no additional cost for playing online. I never purchased a Shark card.

Now the cost to play online needs to be factored in. $50 and now $60 per year to play online is not significant when spread out between multiple games and if online play dominates overall game time. For those that online play may only be GTA6 then $60 per years played is added to that possible $100 purchase price. Now add possible online stuff that may be behind a real money paywall.

Will it all be worth the cost? If you play hundreds of hours and there is added on dlc like content added online at no additional costs like in GTA5 then I say probably maybe.

Re: PlayStation Fans Want The Simpsons: Hit & Run, GTA, God of War Back on PS Plus Classics

NoCode23

Updated/definitive versions of GTA Vice City and Liberty City Stories are long overdue for the PS4 and now also the PS5. Both games on PS2 have updated camera and character movement that play like San Andrease. Also I find Liberty City Stories superior to GTA 3 with the improved camera, motorcycles, characters, side activities, and story. Needs to be downloadable and purchasable along with streaming.

Re: How Well Do You Know Uncharted?

NoCode23

8/15. It's nice to get questions about games that I have played. With Uncharted I have played 1, 2, and 3. The first 2 multiple times especially 2 as collecting stuff unlocked stuff, and some online play.

Re: PS3 Games Could One Day Get Emulated on PS5

NoCode23

Fast forward to January 2030: Breaking news and it is absolutely insane. From reliable insiders the rumor is officially believed to be possibly true. True that Sony will as soon as late 2031 release an, at cost, app that will allow backwards compatability with the November 2028 released PS6.

The app will play PS!, PS2, and PS3 games and upgraded to at least 720p for PSI & 2, with a full 1080p for PS3 games. No halfway believable rumor has surfaced yet about a 60fps standard or at least being offered at reduced graphics definitions. Mark your calendar tor late 2031, it is rumored to be possibly insane.

Re: Rumour: The Far Cry Series May Finally Be Switching Things Up in Next Two Games

NoCode23

I like the formula of gameplay of the series since FC3. The first and second games were okay with the formula since FC3 providing huge improvements of gameplay.

The gameplay ideas for Blackbird and Maverick sound okay for dlc, but not for what I would like the main game to be. There are other better ways to change up Far Cry than adding a timer to the whole game, and or, having it pvp for the whole game.

Re: Poll: What Are Your Most Anticipated PS5 Games of 2025?

NoCode23

I listed GTA6, Mafia, Borderlands 4, and Indiana Jones. From not on the list I add Dying Light The Beast as my 5th pick. I'm going to finally purchase a PS5. With the new games, and yet to play games I have waited to play on a PS5, 2025-26 looks to be great gaming years for me.

Re: Tina Tina's Wonderlands Sequel Reportedly Delayed Indefinitely

NoCode23

My interest now is in having a great BL4. I very much hope Tina is in it somewhere, maybe her own dlc like in BL2. Tina as a playable vault hunter could be interesting. From the initial lineup we have been shown I would be happy to see Tina replace the weird looking female playable character with the big hair and glasses.

The big guy with the beard and silly gear/outfit I also desire to see replaced. If not replaced maybe two added playable characters could be added in the first dlc.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 559

@playstation1995
Days Gone, while excellent in many ways, is on my short list of games to finish that I started. Like with RDR2 I hit a wall of where I lost interest, started playing a new game, and have yet to return. Although with RDR2 I have played hundreds of hours of online.

The remake of the original Mafia game is a 9/10 for me. The chapter in the museum is great to just go through slowly and look and take screen shots. The overall story the characters, and the city are excellent. My only disappointment is the lack of dlc. Something like Joe's Adventure in Mafia 2. Did you do the trick to drive a boat?

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 559

NoCode23

Dead Island 1 on 4Pro. After a recent play of Dead Island 2 I got the itch for a replay of the first game. There is a big drop in graphics from 2 to 1, but no drop in fun game play. The melee weapons in the first game do much more damage when thrown, and one character's skill provides for thrown weapons to boomerang back after thrown, up to 50%.

Also a trick provides easy solo duplication of any item. So have 10 copies of your favorite machete, hundreds of grenades, hundreds of health packs, and a ton of stuff needed to craft ammo.

Re: The Thing: Remastered Is Out Now on PS5, PS4

NoCode23

The trailer didn't inspire me much and I never played it on PS2 with then a desire for an hd remaster. Maybe at a sale price, but more likely I'll take it for a spin if it becomes a Plus game.

Still waiting for remasters of games I want remasters of. Such as: Scarface, Saints Row 1 & 2, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, GTAIV, Total Overdose, Dino Crisis 2, and Red Dead Redemption.

Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss Thinks the Days of Consoles Are Numbered

NoCode23

Every current gen has had a significant leap in some ways when compared to the previous gen. A dog may not be aware of that but those that own and play on the consoles, or just from reading about the current gen console, can easily notice the improvements.

The leap with the PS5 is significant with 60fps over 30fps for most games, superior graphics , and a big one, faster loading times. Then there is the mid gen Pro model that is suppose to provide the superior graphics and 60fps or more to actually work well.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 557

Dead Island 2 on 4Pro. Finally started this game after downloading it as an Extra game. It looks and plays very well on my 4Pro, however there are long loading times when fast traveling on my old previous gen console.

Those that like zombie games should give it a try. How fun/good is it? I'm about halfway through and so far it is in some ways better and other ways not as good as Dead Island 1 and Riptide, but not even close to the fun factor of the first Dying Light game.

Re: Poll: Rate Your Favourite PS1 Games

NoCode23

I went from SNES to a PS2 in 2002, the PS1 games I played are few. RE-2 Directors Cut, RE-3, and Dino Crisis 2 are my favorites of the few I played. All 3 I played multiple times with Dino Crisis 2 maybe 15 or 20 plays. I purchased a Game Shark for PS1 just for codes for Dino Crisis 2.
