Developer Rebellion has just released a new overview video for its upcoming action survival game, Atomfall. Set in 1960s post-apocalyptic Britain, it looks like it could be a solid alternative to titles like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Fallout, and even Far Cry.

Drawing inspiration from the real-world Windscale fire nuclear disaster, this alternate-history game has you exploring the rolling hills and quaint villages of a northern England that's harbouring supernatural entities and dark secrets.

It looks like you'll be exploring an open world environment, gathering resources in order to craft useful items and weapons, and speaking with locals to piece together what really happened.

You'll have a certain amount of freedom in how you approach the game, and the gunplay looks rock solid thanks to the team's long history of Sniper Elite titles.

There's definitely something to this game β€” it's looking rather promising. Seeing familiar sights like red phone boxes and cosy village pubs paired with hulking military robots and mutated enemies is certainly a bit different from other similar games.

There's not long to go before Atomfall is here ; it launches on PS5 and PS4 on 27th March 2025. Are you excited for this one? Pop the kettle on in the comments section below.
