With the flurry of early December releases finally out, and The Game Awards in the rear-view mirror, we can officially relax and enjoy the holidays. We have so much gaming to catch up on that there's no shortage of things to play, so here's what we're kicking back with this weekend.
Aaron Bayne
I recently picked up [Redacted], the roguelike set in The Callisto Protocol universe. So far it seems like a fun little experience, but I'm keen to sink more time into it. Oh and it's season 5 launch weekend for The Finals, so the new grind begins!
Jaimie Ditchfield
As PlayStation recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, I’m in a bit of a nostalgic mood and have been replaying some of my favourite games across the each generation. This weekend I will be focused on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, as I recently finished the first game on Crushing mode
Jenny Jones
I'm travelling this weekend so I've dusted off the old PS Vita. I will probably spend a bit of time playing Steamworld Dig 2 or maybe another playthrough of Guacamelee!.
Liam Croft
I was going to start Black Myth: Wukong earlier this week, but then the newly announced update containing bonus features and PS5 Pro support was delayed until Saturday, so I'll finally begin my playthrough of that this weekend. I've also downloaded Okami, a game I've always had sitting quietly in my backlog. With the sequel now confirmed, there's never been a better time to play it for the first time.
Sammy Barker
I don't currently have access to my PS5, and it's driving me nuts. I'm really enjoying playing my usual gacha games on my phone, but I really want to properly dig into Marvel Rivals and Infinity Nikki on the big screen. Hopefully soon!
Stephen Tailby
I don't have much planned, to be honest, so I'm thinking I might just chill out with some recent favourites. Astro Bot's just received its festive-themed DLC update, so I'll be grinning like an idiot playing that, and I want to lose myself to Balatro once more, and see if I can get some crazy scores rolling.
Those are all the games keeping us occupied this weekend, but what are you busying yourself with? Let us know in the comments section below.

Slowly but surely inching closer towards that 100% completion on Yakuza Kiwami 2, currently going through the Cabaret Club management mini-game (which is different).
While I personally still wouldn’t consider the series s-tier, I am enjoying the game more than I was anticipating and am starting to understand why so many people are so high on it.
Enjoy your weekend gamers!
Playing Witcher 3 new game + on Deathmarch to finally get the platinum I've been holding off on.
Hades. I don't usually like roguelites/likes but I've always liked the audio/visual style of Hades so I finally decided to get it from the recent sale.
So far I'm really enjoying it. Managed to clear Tartarus on my third run, was my first time using the bow. Still have a long way to go overall, but now that I've finished Bugsnax I think I'll devote some time to it.
This is going to shock and disgust people... I had bought Forspoken about 3 months ago for AUD9 = USD 5.50(ish) on disc at a local retailer. Just for sh*ts and giggles. As I've decided to take at least a year off any subscription service (bar retaining my game saves) - I decided to start actually attacking my backlog.
I'd installed the game - thinking it was a 1 hour try-then-delete (as my extended internal storage has been seriously maxed out for a while now). 3 hours in... actually don't mind it. I'm sure I've not hit the "grind" yet... but I dunno... it seems decent. Not perfect. But for that price... a bargain.
Edit - and I know I'm opening myself up for all sorts of vitriolic criticism that I'm not a gamer. Sometimes it's good to ignore the anti-hype and just try a game; even if it's considered embarrassing. I might not finish it now, but it might be a harder delete than I was expecting.
Edit - my point being... I bought it - but it's part of PS+ Extra (and above), so if you've got the time, drive space, and a bit of a thick skin... I'd try it out.
Super Mario Sunshine and Doom 1 + 2 Collection on Switch, and Dead Space Remake on PS5. I just need to finish the Impossible run for the platinum, which sounds nuts but after two playthroughs it's actually not that hard. Have a good one folks!
Animal Well & still chipping away at Wukong
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare You make me sick!
I'm gonna start Nine Sols.
This weekend I'll be mostly dressing like a princess in Infinity Nikki.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Nowt wrong with that. Enjoy.
I caved in and bought PoE2, it's fantastic so far. Haven't had this much fun in an aRPG since Diablo II and I'm loving the bosses!
Apart from that I'm still enjoying GT7 and Phantasy Star 4.
Happy gaming, nerds. 😁
STALKER 2 on XBX....a serious GOTY contender for me. An old school, hardcore PC style shooter. It's unbelievably immersive. God knows how Pure Xbox gave it a 4/10 !!??
Will do another run on another XBX GOTY, the gobsmacking Hellblade 2 ....i hope this comes to PS5 for the non Xbox-ers. It's superb.
I really want to play Indiana Jones but the Mrs has bought me it for Xmas so I can't aarrgghh. Not a popular opinion here but Xbox has had a great year with the above games along with MS Flight Simulator.
Also trying to Plat the amazing DA Veilguard on PS5. Loving the Game whilst tolerating some bad dialogue but overall it's fantastic!
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
I don't have much time to game this weekend, but I'll have a look at the Pro update for Wukong and a little bit of Behemoth or Metro Awakening in VR2 goodness.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare ...Forspoken is great fun ! Faarrr better than the haters who haven't played it would have you believe
Greetings fellow gaming enthusiasts. I finally finished Visions of Mana and had a great time with it. Now I can start Metaphor while also playing Brothership. Have a great end of week.
Having owned it since release, I finally got around to starting Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition yesterday. I’m only 4 hours in, but man, what a fun game! Why did it take me so long to play this? It’s just so good.
I finished Dead Space 3 yesterday on Steam Deck. Enjoyed it a lot. I’m going to pay for the DLC to experience the full story, it’s a shame this was cut but I can justify £7. I’ll probably have a run through on Dead Space 2 next as it’s been over 10 years.
Also playing The Witcher 3. And I got Tomb Raider Legends and Deus Ex for 89p each.
And Final Fantasy 7 on RG35XX!
Going to have to be Okami again with the sequel announcement!!!
With the recent sales, I picked up Suicide Squad and played that with friends. Even though the story has questionable pathways, I have enjoyed the game a lot more than I expected. It’s not the same game as the arkhams, so going into it with that in mind, it’s actually a pretty good looter shooter. I am also playing Alan Wake and the Horizon remaster, so all in all I have a good mix on the go!!
Starting A New Run Of The Division 2
Wukong, lego horizon adventures, R6 siege, war hammer space marine 2! Really enjoying these
@The_Pixel_King one of the best action games on PS5. The best DMC
Indiana Jones - Brilliant game. Though it is more adventure than action. More Dishonored, Hitman and Deus Ex inspired than Uncharted or Tomb Raider, some people won't like that as much and it will be a bit divisive.
I finished Immortality this week too. Brilliant art, but flawed as a game. I found every video of the 3 movies and dozens of the hidden ones but still had little idea what the secret story was. I watched a video online and realised how much I missed, despite searching for it and having every trophy except one. But it sticks with you. Flawed genius. I preferred Her Story which stuck the landing for me.
On PS5 I'm still trying to finish Dragon Age Inquisition so i can start Veilguard. On Xbox more Black Ops 6 and Indiana Jones absolutely loving Indy so far i spent almost 10 hours in the Vatican level before heading to Gizeh.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare I hope you enjoy the rest of the game, I didn't think it was as bad as people made it out to be. The combat was fun, graphics were nice and the story was good for a more modern realistic isekai. The grind is there later on when you get access to more bigger maps with lots to do and collect but it's optional and don't stress thinking you have to do everything.
This weekend I will continue my playthrough of The Minish Cap that I started so long ago
And I will start a fresh run of Kingdoms of Amalur.
I will get some quick nostalgia shots of Faxanadu.
And finally replay again Resident Evil 2. I do not know what is making me replay this game so much ... oh that's right it is so damn GOOD!!!
Happy gaming everyone!!!
@kyleforrester87 yeah I really enjoyed Dead Space 3 too, think all the microtransactions triggered the community to the extent that the game was permanently stained in the publics perception.
On PS5 i will be playing Trails Through Daybreak and Zero Escape 999, I will also be trying Marvel Rivals to see if it can get hooked like the first Overwatch did.
On Switch its Mario and Luigi Brothership, I think I'm past half way now and it's been enjoyable so far albeit a bit tedious with the combat.
And on the Portal its more Tomb Raider Legend and Monster Hunter Rise via streaming which I'm currently using whilst playing it co op with the misses who's using the PS5. It's a great way to play those online co op games in the same room without having to own two PS5 consoles.
My brain felt pretty fresh after taking some break from video games. What is it called again, Dopamine Detox? I reccomend to anyone in here to take a good break when they feel they had enough of video games. Try a couple of days or a week without touching video games.
Anyway. Right now i'm playing Guacamelee: Super Turbo Champhionship Edition for an hour or two and i had tons of fun.
Oh and i'm also playing SF 6, just a bit of grinding in the ranked match with my main Ed.
I put Alien: Dark Descent and The Legend of Dragoon on hold though. Maybe i will continue them again after i finish with Guacamelee.
Have a good weekend everyone 🍻
I just finished days gone couple days ago.now im playing the side missions and the horde missions.wow what a game.deacon st john is one of the best protagonist ever.the story is excellent.i enjoy the ending.the gameplay.the graphics.the soundtrack.the voice acting.boss fights are all excellent.i will also continued playing the amazing fan favorite the amazing mafia definitive edition.the graphics.the gameplay.the voice acting.the soundtrack.tommy angelo is a excellent protagonist.thethe boss fights is amazing.and i will play the classic the incredible crisis core final fantasy 7 the reunion.zack fair is a incredible protagonist.the gameplay.the boss fights.the graphics.the soundtrack.the story.the voice acting is incredible.i will watch my boston Celtics 💚🖤 play.and i will watch my Pittsburgh Steelers💛🖤 play.and i will be watching legendary sitcoms tv 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.sanford and son.different strokes.the Jeffersons.and saved by the bell.word up son
Finished dragon age veilguard so im back to chipping away at rise of the ronin on the 5.
I will also be playing redfall on the xSx, it seems fine once you fix the default analogue stick settings.
Indiana Jones on PC, Spiderman 2 on PS5. Finally found a balance with two games I'm really enjoying after flip-flopping for a few months.
Back again to one of the best franchises ever - Horizon Forbidden West. Just as games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne missed awards for releasing in tough years, Sekiro and Elden Ring got all the awards in their stead. One day Horizon or Guerilla will get its awards due. Btw made it to Isshin for the 2nd time in Sekiro, hmph...what a guy.
I’ve become obsessed with infinity Nikki, I can’t seem to put it down. Probs spend the entire weekend playing that.
Indiana Jones as many other friends here. I'm really enjoying it.
Also, I continue my long journey with Ni No Kuni on Switch (I play only a few minutes before sleeping so it'll be with me for a long long time)
Still enjoying Alan Wake 2, just on Chapter 6, not had much gaming time of late but loving every minute. Wukong arrived this week and can't wait to see what the Pro makes of it.
Happy gaming folks
Taking pics in photo mode and putting them on the wall in my in-game apartments in Cyberpunk 2077
Still playing behemoth on psvr2, I am still enjoying it (in particular grappling around). For me personally it is less repetitive more varied and more fun than metro awakening. But opinions are different and just that: opinions.
I also playing GT7 on psvr2. Still an awesome game.
Just wrapped up the Code Vein plat and about to start Fenyx Rising. Loved it on PS4, had no idea there was a free upgrade for PS5 until I spotted it in my library today. Looking forward to playing it all over again. Have a good weekend all!
I'm not playing much this weekend as I'm travelling for work and taking in some sights. But I'll squeeze in some Horizon: Remastered and some Metaphor on PS5, as well as some Skyward Sword HD and Mario & Luigi: Brothership on Switch.
Good gaming everyone.
Continuing with Lies of P. I’m at the opera house now and there definitely seems to be a spike in difficulty. Perhaps I’ll have to grind a bit more since even the regular enemies are getting harder.
In between I’m playing some Puzzling Places on my new VR2. I actually didn’t expect to be this fanatic with puzzling.
I will definitely play the new Astro Bot level and Balatro on my phone. Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic is likely on the Switch. But, man, do I want to go back and play some Indiana Jones.
@colonelkilgore the co-op, microtransactions and shift to more action based gameplay was only going to pi*s off the fan base at the time really, and I do understand all that. I guess I was one of those fans at the time, too. The developers were clearly not making the game they wanted to make (and this has become more obvious since release through interviews and stuff).
But 10 years on, there is a lot to appreciate. The graphics, art design, music, voice acting are all top notch. The gameplay is a lot of fun (although can get a little overwhelming near the end with the amount of enemies it throws at you). The story is really interesting although I did need to do some reading up on the internet to understand some of what was going on as it is a bit confusing with the black markers, red markers, brethren moons, etc. but I do appreciate the depth of the story the game (and franchise) tells.
My only real gripes with the game were the weird love triangle, and how all that played out. Pretty dumb considering the circumstances they were in. Carvers character development was really poor too!
Working through FFVII remake, and dropping into Helldivers 2 for the new faction
@KingPev 100% I genuinely liked it. Found it fun. Some good bits to the story towards the end
Victory Heat Rally on my Switch, Soul Reaver, and Cyberpunk on my Portal.
For as much as modern gaming sucks, I feel like I'm almost always playing games that would've eaten entire summers as a kid. That up there is a great lineup, to me.
On the Series X Indiana Jones and it's outstanding so far. Incredible use of a film licence and how to do it justice. On the Pro Silent Hill 2 and Metaphor
Looking forward to seeing everything y'all are playing this weekend. I am relegated to the Switch. Whilst I stay in hospital with my son. Happy Gaming All.
Xbox: Jumping between Indiana Jones and STALKER 2.
Switch: DQ11
PS5: Playing the Christmas level in Astro Bot.
My yearly replay of it takes two with my son then off to the Xbox to play a bit Indy
@JonnyAces hope all is well with you and your son!
I will be playing:
PS5 - Path of Exile 2, Tekken 8 and Dragon Age Veilguard
XSX - Indiana Jones and Black ops 6
Steamdeck - Go Go Town and TCG Card Shop Simulator
i’m playin some mahvel babeey
Marvel Rivals , you silly goose
Good evening.
I played The Sims 4 PS4 on my PS5 machine. 😊
+1 for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Working my way through the Vatican doing every side quest and collectable. Great game so far.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Both myself and my wife really enjoyed Forespoken, you are certainly not alone. It takes about 3 hours before you get all the traversal and magic options that make it so enjoyable, so if you get through the first hours you are likely to have a good time with the rest!
I've given up apologising for liking games others hate, my tastes are my own and have never been influenced but what others think. That might be why I still have my early 80s mohican despite reaching 60 when I really should know better! 🤣
Dark Souls II, Hundred Heroes, Wo Long, Astro! So much to choose from, so little time
Unfortunately I've been motion sick since playing Indiana Jones on Xbox on Monday and Tuesday and have not been able to play anything else since! It's an awful shame as I signed back on to game pass after more than a year's absence just to play it and was really enjoying it. I'm not the only one to suffer this, there's several others who have posted on Reddit about how sick it makes them. I am very sensitive to it though and my half hour psvr2 experience left me ill and unable to walk in a straight line for 3 weeks...drat.
I should be ok tomorrow though, and am likely to start Star Wars outlaws now we have working options for the pro. I finished Veilguard last week and thoroughly enjoyed it...
In laws are over so it’s pub for me and grandad🥂
Hopefully get to finish Batman Origins this weekend. Very enjoyable but performance is shocking. Pity it never got the remastered touch of the others. Enjoy the weekend
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Well said! You do you! It’s like anything, sometime you can just click with something and have fun with it.
Mainly Indy on the Series S and Behemoth on the PS5. Both are very good games 😀
Still playing through Blasphemous 2 (now on the DLC), and after a bit of a dry period with Lies of P, it suddenly seems to have exploded with interesting bits in Chapter 8. Loving it again.
Obviously GT7 weekly races and Arizona Sunshine which is just so much fun in horde mode, I’ve play every day for about 45 minutes for over four months!
Have a great weekend Folks!
Edit: Almost forgot, I’ve dug out Simpsons Hit and Run and an external DVD drive for the laptop. I feel like a candy wrapper caught in an updraft!
Metroid Prime 2 for me this weekend. I've played the first one a few times but for some reason have never got round to the sequels, so about time I corrected that. At about 25% completion so far, and loving every second of it.
This weekend it's gonna be a mix of Path of Exile 2, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered, a few hours of Indiana Jones and maybe throw in a few missions from Starcraft 2 Zerg campaign for good measure.
There's diversity in not having a preferred genre, and good games don't take sides... or prisoners (that last part may not be true though, considering they "capture" you for hours at a time, and before you realize it's already morning - but it's a prison of joy, since you loved every minute of it👍)
'Nuf rambling about - have a fun weekend everyone!
Fifa 17 and DoA5😅😅
@kyleforrester87 I get the anger about the mtx’s and to a much lesser extent about the slant towards action (I say lesser extent as I personally felt it remained far more survival-horror than action anyway) but it still confuses me why people were upset about co-op. I thought that was a positive addition tbh.
Narrative-wise, trilogy-cappers will always have an uphill struggle trying to conclude an epic-three part arc but I thought they did an admirable job all things considered. I get you about the love-triangle though… I think they just wanted a human character that you could get mad about in addition to the Hugh Grant-like mega-corp ceo. While a distraction, it didn’t derail it.
My take is that the game is underrated to the point that many people won’t even consider playing it, even if they loved 1 and 2 (I almost didn’t myself) but is ultimately a worthy instalment in a legendary gaming series.
Indiana Jones and Stalker 2, but mostly Indy. Both great games and such an amazing end to the year for Xbox.
PS5: trying to finish Horizon Forbidden West (great game as well) but Indy and Stalker 2 are preventing me from doing it.
I'll play the astrobot Christmas level before continuing my play through of LAD:Infinite Wealth. Which I'm really enjoying 😎
@Sequel that speedball pic is brill
I’ll be mainly Christmas shopping and visiting family unfortunately. When I do get time I’ll probably alternate between rogue legacy 2 and Arizona sunshine.
I'll mostly be playing Unknown 9: Awakening and I am pleasantly surprised so far. I was hoping for a linear, Uncharted style adventure and that's exactly what this is. I also quite like the combat. I think that taking control of enemies is quite an interesting concept and I like how it's been executed.
I'll also be dipping into Final Fantasy XIV and Infinity Nikki.
@Titntin I hate the head bobbing while walking it doesn’t make me feel great, there should be a toggle to turn that off
Well was continuing with metaphor but have got a bit bored of it now, so putting it on hold for now. Had enough points for month of gamepass so currently downloading indy but going to take a bit to download will also download stalker 2 to try. While waiting will play balatro for few hrs.
Still stuck on Metaphor. Stuck meaning my limited time to play as father of 3 dictates I get through maybe 3 calendar days a session or one dungeon if it’s short enough!
Other than that I’m also balancing Nine Sols and Path of Exile 2. I love both so far and really am glad I did early access for POE2.
I may get back to Slitterhead. I really enjoyed my 10 hours with it I just haven’t felt the mood for that or Silent Hill 2 lately.
@JonnyAces hope dude is alright.
Well, the last 2 weeks I've intended to finish Hogwarts Legacy, but I've barely played anything at all in that time, the odd dip into Crusader Kings 3 is all I have managed.
So I'm pondering whether to put HL on the backburner for a few weeks and just play Indiana Jones now 😬
@nomither6 That isn't how you say "Marvel" in that context. It's "Mabble." "Mabble Rabble," like Scooby Doo. Or Hamburglar.
Nice try, poser.
@Titntin I'm seriously hoping this isn't some manscaped product placement ad (edit - the mohican hair-style that is). But yeh - I think Forspoken doesn't do a great job of on-boarding. Thing that put me off most was the constant stopping the game for tutorial instruction. I just wanted to move forward, but they put cut-scenes literally 10 seconds after each other.
I'm hoping that I'm mostly through that phase. I can however understand why people were put off. To be honest, I also thought a lot of complaints on dialogue were disingenuous... it's no worse (and maybe a bit better) than HFW... but somehow it's not as cachet to criticize Horizon compared to Forspoken.
If I never heard Aloy telling me how to solve a problem, I will die a happy gamer! And this is coming from someone that loved the franchise (but has been falling off a little with each installment).
Forspoken has a huge advantage - just one original game. Shame the studio basically was discarded (merged) because of the game.
Been a crazy week with 0 gaming. Hope tomorrow will allow me a few precious moments in Sparking Zero now that the patch is out. Was hoping to start Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered week after next but life if fully Life-ing.
Have a good weekend folks.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle - I was hyped for this more than anything in a good while and in a strange turn of events the game has not only met my expectations but exceeded them, which was nice.
I’ve also started Spider-Man 2 too since I had no Xbox batteries charged last night. It’s alright so far. It’s definitely a game I’ll say that much.
Helldivers and Behemoth for me when I'm not watching Christmas movies. Maybe I'll play some Dragon's Dogma II on Portal while I'm watching telly.
Hogwarts Legacy and Snow Scout!
Still addicted to Path of Exile 2. Also planning on jumping back into Trails through Daybreak as I dropped it over the summer.
Fallout 3
Still going pretty good. I think I am in the middle of the endgame, so I should be finishing it soon.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Most of those idiots haven't played the game. It is a solid 7/10. Not the best or the worst but a surprisingly decent time with a great combat system.
@Loamy Yes I heard about that as well. But whatever the studies says, my mind feels fresh after staying away from video games for 3-4 days.
I'm probably gonna try for my internet / social media consumption too. Lately I feel i had enough reading negative news like world war 3, woke this woke that, and some nuts hurting innocent people.
Prince of persia lost crown and whatever game I get for my birthday 🥳.
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk There is a toggle to remove some of it under 'accesability'. I also found it helps to switch the objective marker to continuously display so you you don't have to continuously hold out the stupid map. I still got stupidly sick, but hopefully that will help someone who just gets a little headache...
My wife says I got ill cause I switched the Xbox on! She definitely prefers PS, lol 😂
15 or so hours into GT7, getting to grips with it now having done over 20 of the menus. Just bought a group 3 car and that thing is fun!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!
No PS5 or Series X access while my wife uses our PC to finish Lorelei and the Laser Eyes with the TV they're all hooked up to (yes it's a flawed setup I suppose!)
I'll keep playing through Resident Evil 4 on Quest 3. Happy gaming everyone!
@Steelhead I'm not a roguelite or soulsborne type of player either. The grind with multiple deaths just isn't for me but wow is Hades worth it! It's not converted me to these genres but I'll buy the sequel eventually, even if I don't finish the first one! Fabulous voice acting and near perfect mechanics and upgrades etc. It's so good the recent Turtles game completely ripped it off in every way - making it also an awesome game plus it has co-op!
@LikelySatan haha , i’m ashamed to admit that i just schooled about what’s hip by a boomer! 😛
Finally started Elden Ring. Not super impressed so far, but I'm willing to give it several hours.
Received a copy of Alan Wake II - debating on whether I should dive right in, play the part 1 DLC, or play through Control first.
This weekend I’m doing some adventuring in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I’m about to wrap up the Gizeh area and travel to parts unknown. It’s been a blast!
@Titntin your wife might be right 🤣
All I've been playing on PS5 is Detective Raincode which is so good! About 35 hours through now on chapter 3.Love it!
On Switch I've been playing Mario.and Louigi Brotherhood which is great fun but all the battles are pretty tedious.
Dead Island 1 on 4Pro. After a recent play of Dead Island 2 I got the itch for a replay of the first game. There is a big drop in graphics from 2 to 1, but no drop in fun game play. The melee weapons in the first game do much more damage when thrown, and one character's skill provides for thrown weapons to boomerang back after thrown, up to 50%.
Also a trick provides easy solo duplication of any item. So have 10 copies of your favorite machete, hundreds of grenades, hundreds of health packs, and a ton of stuff needed to craft ammo.
PS5Pro - GT7
XBSX - Indiana Jones (superb) and AoE4
Xuan Yuan Sword: Gate of Firmament. It's got a pretty rough translation but I enjoy these kind of games. No brain rot or worrying about offending certain groups.
Also trying Outer Worlds, got that thru ps+. Seems decent so far, we'll see.
@playstation1995
Days Gone, while excellent in many ways, is on my short list of games to finish that I started. Like with RDR2 I hit a wall of where I lost interest, started playing a new game, and have yet to return. Although with RDR2 I have played hundreds of hours of online.
The remake of the original Mafia game is a 9/10 for me. The chapter in the museum is great to just go through slowly and look and take screen shots. The overall story the characters, and the city are excellent. My only disappointment is the lack of dlc. Something like Joe's Adventure in Mafia 2. Did you do the trick to drive a boat?
Probably just Stellar Blade and Lollipop Chainsaw.
@Anke ...ah we bet you do that most weekends really ! 😉😉🤣
@16BitHero the main two issues I usually have with rogulikes are bad story/motivation and a lack of meaningful progress every time you play. Hades seems to do a good job of addressing both problems, and has great gameplay. I don't see myself being converted to the genre either.
@nomither6 two gens away from a Boomer...
You kinda get a sense for the way this sites been going when the only games the editor plays in his free time are gacha and live service games....🤣
The floorings been delivered now finally so I'm kicking back with warhammer 40k darktide and I've dropped the hammer on PoE2 as I just wasn't a strong enough man to resist it's charms anymore..have a great weekend folks.
Playing Ghost Recon: Breakpoint’s Conquest Mode…it’s like a whole second campaign after you finish the story! That, and some sweet Helldivers 2 and Gran Turismo 7.
@LikelySatan i couldn’t help but say it when you mentioned hamburglar (& scooby doo to an extent), when’s the last time anyone’s seen or heard of him , lol
Finished the outstanding Soul Reaver Remasters now I'm playing Blood Omen 2
Had to pause Soul Reaver as can't change gamma settings and finding some sections too dark to make out where to go.
@nomither6 yeah bro.
Hamburglar has been in prison for a very, very long time..
New 100” TV just arrived. After unboxing and mounting, I plan to play ESO and Jedi Survivor. Hopefully many more on this magnificent new machine.
@rusty82 I am having the same problem, especially when in solid form. I'm supposed to navigate some cathedral but it's way too dark.
This weekend has followed the trend of the past week; tidying up some of my outstanding games/trophies. Finally got the 'What the...?' for Cities Skylines lunchtime, now I'm edging ever closer to lvl 50 in GT Sport. Because I will have that Platinum dammit! (only something like 350,000 XP to go... 🙄)
Despite going back to Star Wars: Outlaws (and enjoying it) and having been waiting for Soul Reaver Remastered, I've found myself in the grips of Indiana Jones on PC Game Pass.
To say I'm hooked would be an understatement; this is definitely scratching the Uncharted/Tomb Raider itch I've been having, despite others saying it's more akin to Dishonored.
Considering I've spent majority of my time in the Vatican, I wouldn't be surprised if I ended the year with it.
@Lyedecker think it's same part as me. Just after you get the soul reaver?
Hopefully they patch it as it's derailed it for me unfortunately
@rusty82 That's exactly where I am, lol. Hopefully they add a brightness slider soon.
I'm still playing the 2024 playoffs on NBA 2K24 and hopefully, I can get the Bulls their elusive 7th Championship. I'm also starting Uncharted and also playing a lot of Final Fantasy.
I was finally able to get a disc drive for my PS5 pro, so I'm breaking it in with my Married With Children dvd boxset😁
Other than that, still cracking along with FF7 Rebirth, which continues to be great.
Just platinumed ROBOCOP: Rogue City so now I’m playing the absolutely fantastic, impressive and super high quality Black Myth Wukong. Totally get why it was nominated for GOTY!
But my real focus this weekend is watching my Detroit Lions host the Buffalo Bills in what could be a potential Super Bowl matchup. GO LIONS!!!
@playstation1995 As Detroit Lions fan, I’m gonna be pullin’ HARD for your Steelers this Sunday! Need a big win from your guys to hopefully give us a little breathing room over Philly in the NFC. Go Lions, Go Steelers!!
Still enjoying Diablo 4! I also picked up Power Rangers Rita’s Rewind which is purely nostalgic, it looks like a really fun beat em up so I’ll probably hop into that also.
I was playing some Naughty Bear after TGAs, and went back into Assassin's Creed III. I want to play more Lego Batman 3 during my nightly high time, but that sensor suit ability messes with my eyes; the greenness of it is a harsh mistress.
@Lyedecker it seems a massive oversight not having it to me.
Was enjoying it to that point.
Voice acting still holds up
I've spent the weekend playing PSP, Mega Drive and Neo Geo games on my Steam deck and it's the most fun I've had with gaming in years.
Makes your realise what we've lost when you play PSP Ridge Racer drfiting to the finish line.
I continue playing excellent Silent Hill 2 remake. Despite I still haven't finished it, it's already my GOTY. Hope it sells good so we'll get next remake(s) in the future
Still forcing myself to play some more The Outer Worlds and I started Indiana Jones.
Well here we go with another awesome WAYP. The week was again the GOTY hunt. Trails Through Daybreak, Emio and Metaphor with some Mario and Luigi and Sonic X Shadow Generations and Black Ops 6. Yeah Sonic is back on the lineup as the new movie is coming out and I’m pretty excited. Most of the weekend was spent with Emio and Black Ops 6. Almost done with Emio and yeah it is starting to get really intriguing and I’m super excited for them to be like yeah THATS Emio. Black Ops 6 meanwhile it really is a fun game and a great story with excellent characters like Sev and Adler. Rest of the weekend I’m thinking is gonna be some YS X Nordics again tho I think we’re getting close to beating it they’re usually like 10 chapter games. Otherwise I’m thinking this week is mostly gonna consist of some Trails Through Daybreak, Emio, Dawntrail, Metaphor, Sonic X Shadow Generations, Mario and Luigi Brothership, Super Mario Party Jamboree and Visions of Mana, Zenless Zone Zero too. Did dabble in Infinity Nikki and Marvel Rivals and both were pretty excellent tho I’m definitely more a fan of Nikki. Dragon Quest 3 HD 2D Remake and Fantasian Neo Dimension still ain’t been started and honestly post Game Awards I wanna pick up Balatro and Power Rangers so hahaha good luck to me I guess with those. Speaking of The Game Awards ruled I’m very happy with Clive in Tekken and Okami 2 and the new Naughty Dog game, Split Fiction RGGs Project Century, and Onimusha from Capcom. Think it was probably Geoff’s best show yet honestly like dude seriously killed it this show. Pretty happy Astro Bot won GOTY too it seriously is a excellent game that absolutely deserves a W like that. The wrestling things this week being WWE Saturday Nights Main Event was actually kinda just meh. The matches were fine I’m happy about the first United States Women’s Champion and the Liv and Iyo match was nice but overall kinda disappointing. Maybe RAW on NETFLIX will be a Banger. Anime of the week gotta go to Dandadan and Ranma 1/2. Yeah only did two shows this week but actually both were seriously solid and quite good. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Last Stand Media, Easy Allies, Second Wind, Nextlander, Cultaholic Wrestling, Weapon Wheel Podcast and Remap Radio. As always yall stay safe, be awesome to each other. Have a totally amazing weekend and of course Happy Gaming.
POE 2 as Monk, really enjoying it, it's pretty much a isometric souls atm, like a squishy Faith build, huge AOE but I die in 3-4 hits.
Haven't played one of those games since Diablo 2. More interested in Druid but it's not out yet.
