@thechetearly one reason I dont buy games anymore, is because at some point they will be FREE on ps plus. I learned my lesson about 4 years ago, saved me a TON of money. Sony is just shooting themselves in the foot!

@trev666 bro when did we get MANEATER for psplus? But thanks for pointing all of those games out that we got in the last year or so.. Sony sometimes just pisses us off, but they sometimes make everyone happy and placate them..I've had PS plus since 2014, most people spend more money on Starbucks Coffee, and cigarettes every month.. At least a few bad games won't make my heart palpate and or give me cancer in my lungs.

@SegaBlueSky you guys do know that the PS3 library had 3808 titles in it right? and PS4, 2 and 1 also had massive libraries.. No one is seriously thinking of "making all games available for download with PSnow and PSplus". This is a MAJOR financial plunge for Sony to do any of that, and its not going to happen with out a boost in game price, sub price or their other offshoots. If it doesnt make SOny any financial gain in the long run, I think we all should just stop dreaming at this point.....

@Rural-Bandit not too many gamers can buy a PS5 and a SERIES X concurrently, my guy, be blessed that you can do that, some people cannot and they have to stay on one side or pick a poison.. Supporting all consoles, in the real world, just may not be possible...

@tofuman86 most if not ALL games are made using high end dev kits tweeked for CPUs then ported to consoles. This is what happened to CYBERPUNK 2077, and it's last gen failure at launch..They developed the games with CPUs, they might as well showoff computer owners their skills, so maxed out CPU owners can drool and continue to say "PC MASTER RACE!".

don't get me wrong, if its your choice to have a PC cool, but for me not going to pay 2500 US dollars so I can play my video games, and then keep upgrading the graphics card, buying thermal paste and fans over the course of the PC's life.. it will eventually DIE one day or not able to handle the new stuff coming out.. Its a loop that I don't want to be a part of... no thank you...

@DrJames "everyone trying to make a few bucks on line"? Dude lets say each of those PS4s were around 200 dollars, multiply 3800x 200 tell me what you get? this is almost 3/4 of a MILLION dollars! And not to mention, they probably are paying someone for warehouse space and if the energy is not being rerouted and stolen, they are paying for that energy... This is more than a few guys streaming FIFA matches.....

@NoCode23 i was thinking the same thing.. if they had 3800 PS4s, they obviously had to pay for them, and on top of that they had to pay for the electricity to run these 24/7, and 3800 copies of FIFA.. yeah there was A LOT OF MONEY involved in this, and just by that alone there was some major money being made!! Don't underestimate a criminal and the money they can make....

@BusyOlf im really trying to understand "the missions were boring", "the missions were repetitive". Like it took place in a feudal Japan, were people expecting to hovercraft fly over cities and perform flying horse maneuvers? I think people need to keep the game and the period into context when they voice their concerns about missions.. If sucker punch would have went too far outside of the norms of the world it was in, people would have complained.. I thought the missions, in relation to the game and the period it took place it, were just fine....

What has happened, is gamers expect a joyride at 100 mph, from start to finish of a game, and that is not something that any game can do, with success all of the time.. Just enjoy the fact that you get to time travel to another period, be a character that you would never be, and live stories that you would never be a part of.. Isn't this what gaming was/is about in the long run??

why is this even a talking point? we ALL know it was a 10/10 best game of 2020 HANDS DOWN!! we ALL know what really was supposed to be GOTY.. The best character arc and development, new ip, new concepts, very good voice acting and combat mechanics.... yeah..... I would STILL GIVE IT A 10! gave it a 10 first go round!!

cheating is built into the human psyche.. We have to award people that DON"T cheat, but unfortunately in gaming there are no repercussions for cheating

@Kidfried I know this is not a website about genders , it’s a gaming site but we are discussing a game that has characters in it that are of different sexual identities and are in flux with their genders… So, make it make sense for the lay person.. ( which I am sure there are many here who don’t know or are educated such as yourself about being trans ). -which lev was-. So Lev was born as a girl XX chromosomes, but later in life her mind told her she should be represented by XY chromosomes. So EVERY cell in Lev’s body which is marked as XX, does not hold relevance? So, Lev isn’t gay or lesbian ( sexual choice desire ). Lev is transgender ( stuck in gender).. so Lev who still has every cell marked as a female, that will do everything a female is prepared to do until directed other wise is a man stuck in a females body?…. We all are growing here, and I’m sure we all want to learn. Please make it make sense to us who are ignorant of this phenomenon , or just want to be enlightened. Thanks, we all are gamers and just want to understand each other…. Thanks

@Kidfried I don't get how Lev was trans, she not ONCE talked about getting a gender reassigment surgery, or taking hormones to fully go FTM. At this point, Lev was just a young woman, who cut her hair, and was having gay feelings...Lets call it for what it is.. Sometimes I "feel" like I want to fly, does that make me a "trans-pilot"?... I have no issue with ANY one, they have the right to be what we all want to be, but if you are feeling anything but your gender that you were born as, lets just say you are gay, until proven otherwise.. We all thought Abby was a lesbian, but she was uber straight and even had a love interest. I think Neil and the writers were trying to do WAAAY too much with TLOU2, and it back fired because you can't please everyone....

@JohnKarnes they used to have this guy on YOUTUBE that was predicting when TLOU2 was going to drop.. Fans were soo hungry a year and a half ago, dude got soo many clicks and his youtube channel skyrocketed! Just remember in today's day and age, people do things because they can GAIN something for it.. He ended up being wrong, but then kept changing the date and more people kept visiting his channel! Its almost like gaming has become a cult..

we have opened PANDORA's box on gaming, I say the genie has been out for about 10 years or so now. He is full of hype, promises and broken games at launch.. I know some of you are too young to remember that your only news was GAMING MAGS or a convention once a year. There was a LAG in information, and it wasn't this constant stream of rumors and gossip. I honestly, don't have an iota to play anything in the near future except HORIZON ZERO DAWN FW.. And i have a plethora of games to play right now, and I don't have a PS5 and I am okay with all of that.. Let the games come, let them drop and lets talk about them AFTERWARDS!

@XinGViruS funny how Sony keeps giving the SAME games that are on PS NOW, like they literally made those games available for that service and give it to people like its fresh and innovative... (yawn), not feeling Sony for like a year now, they seem to be punishing us for supporting them.. Treating us like red headed step children! (no offense to red heads)....

a Plague Tale was phenomenal! Funny how it really wasn't main streamed and made more noise in the gaming community.. I only have 3 friends that have played it on my 140+ friends list.. WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?!?!?

@The_New_Butler what in the EFF is in the directors cut? Like dont these versions have extra scenes or content? I just don't understand unless they are adding more content how this could be anything any different from the original version? Please someone clarify.....

@OmegaStriver Hype can kill an experience.. This is why i go into everything with " don't expect too much from ANYONE, hold them to the lowest standard possible, so that when they don't meet the benchmark, you won't be upset" I go about this with EVERYBODY, I never got and rode the hype train, didn't watch any videos, didn't listen to everyone else and how their experience was. For this very reason, me and CP are getting along just fine, because I just expected the bare minimum from them..... Ahhhhh living like this is soo stress free!!

@blinx01 if they do anything remotely similar to Fortnite, Rockstar will never get another penny from me! They LIED to us fans soo much promised DLC for GTA5 and scrapped it, when their GTAO started raking in tons of money, obviously they don't care about their true core base fans anymore, so why should we? Every friggen game doesn't need to have an MP component..ugg

with "Fort-nite evolving map"... like "WHY?". why is it that companies keep copying standards that are out there already and have been RUN into the ground? Any MP that says "battle royale" i just totally lose interest in it IMMEDIATELY...Haven't we evolved from that? or are we just going to keep beating the cow until its dead carcass can give us nothing more......

@LordOfTurnips why do people hate this game soo much? i'm reading through the thread, and honestly don't understand why they don't like the game?? it was visually stunning, even on my PS4. I thought the story and environments were unique, gun play was good. Maybe people just want this full on "triple A" experience from start to finish...

@Denni5m Sony wont listen to us gamers, because hey they make the rules. I don't even get hyped about PS plus anymore, like yourself I have already played it, or just brought the deamn title.. I haven't in a while, because I don't buy games that they hype for "sales" anymore, because usually in about 3-4 months its a free title... I learn very quickly...

@somnambulance A Plague Tale: Innocence was a very good game, I dont see how I missed it, or how it wasnt given more hype and coverage... I think you will be happy when you finally get to play it...

@JechtUltima actually we all can attribute all of , if not many, of the problems in the gaming industry to GREEDINESS. The push to make MONEY over quality finished products. Games, from a long ago era, were made finished, all ironed out tested extensively BEFORE release. Now that gaming is a multibillion dollar industry with companies all vying for the top position, its lost most, if not all, of the qualities that made it a beautiful community of developers, fans and media outlets that supported the cause....

@Sanctanox just curious.. ridiculous like in "hard " or ridiculous like in "ridiculous"? DarkStalkers the Night Warriors had a group of trophies that were pretty much unattainable. You had to pull off these crazy combo trials for each of the characters, which could only be achieved if you had robot reflexes, or played fighting games all of your life.. I capped it at 33%, those trophies were "ridiculous"..

@crimsontadpoles Man of Medan was pretty good, the missables and immediate changing stories, if you do one QTE wrong or miss a dialogue, is pretty self defeating. ive been trying to get the plat, but even that is meticulous...

@mcdreamer im a major trophy hunter, and im trying to flesh out my NieR experience, I just wish the game had a 'warp to found save points" options..

@Bentleyma- I have ME2 on my PS3, I skipped ME, and ME3 just because I heard that they werent even worth the bother, so the thought of the trilogy (albeit a visual upgrade), was just not something I really wanted to invest it.. If the story remains the same, an upgraded visual with the same story just isn't a selling point for this gamer...

Ive been delaying, but im currently playing "A PLAGUE TALE: INNOCENCE, im surprise for it to be such a linear simple game, it is actually SURPRISINGLY fun...Now I see why it was praised when it was praised...

OUTRIDERS, so their player base will go up for about a few weeks, game is bogus, so giving it away for "free" will placate the devs, because I know they are highly embarrassed right about now...

@LordSteev i never liked dodge ball in elementary school, i don't think much has changed since I became an adult. The physics look crazy, in that you can control the ball and make it do weird stuff, like bend, shift and curve.. nah, im good....

@NeonPizza don't worry, in about 3 weeks the game will have burned through every YT, TWITCH and other streamer's channel.. Everyone will know all of the secrets, and all of the spoilers and hundreds of people will have paid someone to watch them play a game, full run, without ever touching the game themselves.. This is what gaming has evolved into... yeah, I go into my games, green, blind and ignorant of everything.. The experience is MINES and only mines.. I call whats going on now "GAMER PORN", people getting off on watching others doing what they love to do......

@KippDynamite i TOTALLY agree with you, i think some gamers are stuck on nostalgia, and the time when they enjoyed gaming.. So they want throwbacks, not saying new gamers aren't experiencing these games for the first times, but sometimes we all seem like hamsters running on the circular wheel. Once I do EVERYTHING in a game, im not going back, unless there is new content, levels etc. Imagine when you get to your 50's and you are like "oh that UNCHARTED 4 was such a game, i want to play it again for the 8th time!" They may put one in an Alzhiemers unit at that point....

I think it would be doing gamers justice to work on new titles, new IPs or provide new content that expands a game's storyline. Anything less is just trying to appease gamers and their "times of youth" fix.....

I will be celebrating all the ladies in my life! My mom, my aunts, sister and lady friends. Outside of that, I will be playing NIER: REPLICANT..

@davebaby i assume you are a gamefly type of guy? I love gamefly, i have been able to play most , if not all, of the latest hits, and I don't feel like I have to commit to a game. Its like a relationship, I don't want to marry the deam thing, just every now and then spend some time with it and be happy and smile, but return it when i'm fed up with it.. ehehhe

@Col_McCafferty I actually am beginning to like games in smaller hour doses, these 160 hour games just are becoming too much. One literally has to have no life, no job, no responsibilities in order to fully play these AAA games now a days.. 12 hours is just fine by me...

@nessisonett i was thinking the same thing, it would be a PR nightmare, if these things started to surface again on the PS5. With so much instability in the SONY UNIVERSE right now, this would be a definite shock event.....
