Resident Evil Re:Verse Won't Launch in July After All, Delayed to 2022

Yeah this is gonna get shelved. Capcom can’t seem to figure out RE multiplayer outside of Co-op.

Does anyone actually care about/want this anyway???

They really should have pumped these resources into expanding RE8 Mercenaries 🤦

I was gonna try it for 10 minutes or so, so I could play as Ada in 2021 (in a new RE.) Guess I can wait.

Just stop wasting money and cancel this already capcom. And put that money to re4 remake and re9.

Making the bare bones Mercenaries in Village more like the raid mode in Revelations 1 & 2 would have been better, I know this is PvP but I don't think it will hold a huge player base.

Please just cancel it. Nobody asked for it, nobody wants it. Use the resources to work on RE8 dlc / RE9.

Nobody cares, wants or asked for this. Its a completely pointless addition. Didn't they learn anything from that atrocious Umbrella Corps thing they released?

I think "working to deliver a smooth gameplay experience" has become the mantra for a lot of video game studios.

@LTPenguin Yeah, Factions 2 is another case in point. The MP add-ons are clearly harder to implement than it looks. I doubt Re-Verse will be worth it, and maybe Factions 2 also, seeing as the teams could be using the time on the next SP project. We’ll see. I hope to pleasantly surprised with the quality when these actually get released.

Please save yourselves Capcom and cancel this jumbled mess of a multiplayer experience. Focus on what you guys do well.

Cancel it altogether and focus on something more worthwhile.. I don’t think many at all are looking forward to it.

It wasn't well received by anyone so I'm surprised they going to tidy it up, might as well cut their losses and release half baked game and hope they make profit. There's way too much competition as well.

Or it could be steller and makes them bucket loads.

I loved RE Village but I wasn't looking forward to this at all. Put those resources towards RE Revelations 3 instead. I loved the co-op on Revelations 1 & 2 for Switch! I can't wait for RE 4 Remake & RE 9!

Or how about they just cancel it, save them wasting resources

Capcom you've been on a good run lately but let this die. Even when it comes out it wont last too long. Stick to single player, maybe coop in the next dmc

They should have put the resources into a better Mercenaries mode. The one we got was half baked to the extreme.

Honestly, I keep wishing they'd turn this into a Mercenaries stand-alone instead of wasting time with this late 2000's multiplayer add-on. They've already got the necessary material, all it would take is a change in direction, and bam, you have yourself a decent product that might actually sell.

That said, I am a bit confused as to why this needs another 6+ months to develop, considering most of it's assets are recycled from previous games, using the same engine. Even in today's development climate, you'd think a quick cash grab like this would be, you know, quick to develop? As it stands, this just seems like a bomb waiting to go off that just keeps getting bigger.

Scrap this and get us that resident evil village dlc. So many stories to be told, something like the maiden demo for ps5, but fleshed out more. Or things like the bedroom dlc from resident evil 7, other stories set with the villains of village. Maybe another chris redfield focused add on too, maybe picking up what happens near the end of the game, going to bsaa europe headquarters. Anything but this clearly trainwreck multiplayer waiting to happen.

No DLC, I want a Code Veronica Remake instead

@Nintendo4Sonic They have already confirmed village dlc. But yes, a code veronica remake would be the best, it's now the worst one to play, needs a full overhaul for sure.

@Nintendo4Sonic Ah, gotcha. I'd enjoy some village dlc, but to each their own. Although, all things dropped for a code veronica remake would be fine with me. I would of preferred them to do a code veronica remake over the re4 vr.
