Re: Poll: Is Saros Better Than Returnal?

LordAinsley

Saros doesnt have the surprise factor Returnal had that just made that game such a pleasant, amazing surprise.

Saros probably does improve on every element of Returnal but sometimes that timing of the release just really does a lot for a release and impact a game has on you.

Surely we can all agree that they basically got lucky "right time, right place" with Until Dawn?

Hell, we don't even need this game as proof, we were probably there maybe 2 or 3 games into the Dark Pictures stuff. All their VR stuff was pretty bad as well.

Its not even budget because they had another publisher backed big budget attempt with the Quarry. Also terrible!

Every other game they've made range from terrible to low average. They couldn't even successfully remake Until Dawn (different studio, but some OG members)? Pull the plug

@ibis_87 Go to Accessibility in the menu and you can disabled Carcosan Modifier limits which allows you to add every single positive modifier.

I'd recommend not doing all of them because it basically trivializes the game but if you are hard blocked on the first boss, you should absolutely try this otherwise you've got a £60 brick sat on your shelf

@DennisReynolds Maybe 5 years ago, but as a studio they're trying to make the move from small Indies to bigger budget blockbusters the last few years.

Believe they'd stated their intention to eventually be the size of some of the majors like Sony or Universal

Marty Supreme had a 70 million budget which is crazy considering they used to mostly produced sub 10 million films

Re: Resident Evil Requiem PS5 Flying Off Shelves, Now at 6 Million Sales

LordAinsley

@Oram77 My issue is within a single title smashing back and forth between flaming chainsaw battles and quips and slowly creeping through a flooded basement with a giant monster chasing you gives you whiplash and makes the experience wonky.

I dont have a problem with the series embodying different styles

I thoroughly enjoy the more action oriented titles as well as the more survival horrory ones, but I think theres a better way to go about it then sort of smashing them together in one title

Re: Resident Evil Requiem PS5 Flying Off Shelves, Now at 6 Million Sales

LordAinsley

@Bunchesopuppies as a fan, I agree.

I still massively enjoyed the game but I think the fear of negative feedback from a vocal minority of Leon megastans/the survival horror enthusiasts just meant the final product is kind of wonky and all over the place tonally

Its definitely a much better game than 6 but I think the comparison is actually fair

Re: Poll: Should God of War Trilogy Remake Adopt the Gameplay Style of Ragnarok?

LordAinsley

Complete overhaul, more open world, new style combat, updated graphics and additions to the story/new characters etc to flesh out the trilogy.

I can and have still play the OG series and can even play them on current gen so I'm not interested in it just being the same

Theres so much more you could explore out of the story of the original trilogy and I'd like to see it expanded

Re: Fans Are Already Debating Whether God of War's PS5 Trilogy Will Cut the Series' Sex Minigames

LordAinsley

I think they're pretty cringe honestly but completely depends on what these remakes even are.

I think if they're going over the shoulder, new style GOW and they're making changes to the story to make it more poigniant and add depth to Kratos character and the nature of his anger etc, you definitely remove them in their current form. Maybe you add something else in a way thats played in a less childish way.

If its just a straight remake, same story, same dialogue, same gameplay but in 4K, yeah you just leave them who cares.
