Good to see this stuff getting fixed so quickly but surely these projects are better off with more testing before launch rather than waiting for players to complain about them.
I'm not touching this for at least a year, I will eventually check it out but clearly waiting is going to be worth it
Theres nothing wrong with AI use in theory, the issue is that you should review what it outputs to you and either decide it worked well, or tweak/reject it if it doesnt.
It saves so much time so you have the extra time now...to check that you arent producing slop.
@Oram77 Dont get me wrong, I think its a great game. I think its only weakness is tonal and a less focused experience than say, 7 or 4 which are my favorites, either all Leon or all Grace would have been better in my opinion.
@Oram77 My issue is within a single title smashing back and forth between flaming chainsaw battles and quips and slowly creeping through a flooded basement with a giant monster chasing you gives you whiplash and makes the experience wonky.
I dont have a problem with the series embodying different styles
I thoroughly enjoy the more action oriented titles as well as the more survival horrory ones, but I think theres a better way to go about it then sort of smashing them together in one title
I still massively enjoyed the game but I think the fear of negative feedback from a vocal minority of Leon megastans/the survival horror enthusiasts just meant the final product is kind of wonky and all over the place tonally
Its definitely a much better game than 6 but I think the comparison is actually fair
Surely the CEO of Bluepoint can get some funding pretty quick from some VC? I imagine someone will be dying to get them to remaster one of their game (Bethesda please, you need help)
I had no idea how important it was to include this, but according to every thread I've seen on the remake it is a key, incredibly important part of every game!
I think they're pretty cringe honestly but completely depends on what these remakes even are.
I think if they're going over the shoulder, new style GOW and they're making changes to the story to make it more poigniant and add depth to Kratos character and the nature of his anger etc, you definitely remove them in their current form. Maybe you add something else in a way thats played in a less childish way.
If its just a straight remake, same story, same dialogue, same gameplay but in 4K, yeah you just leave them who cares.
RWS constantly have these weird issues with other developers, but also, their own games.
I just don't trust them outright, not even tied to this issue, they just keep having these weird releases that they blame on others. They need to just make a good game at this point, or fold.
@themightyant
I'm not a fan of your argument, even if in this case you're right? Thats...a strange thing to say.
I'm not even anti-AI, and its become such a difficult subject to discuss because people act like this is some sort of weird culture war.
Its super useful for coding etc, and it will revolutionize some stuff for sure. It's actually really useful in the video game space.
That being said, the art just looks bad and I dont want it jammed in my face on every billboard and blasted into my face at every opportunity because someone said "hey, this is fast, doesnt matter that it looks like utter garbage because it was fast"
Sometimes nothing is the better option and I think AI has broken this in peoples minds.
This kind of stuff is to try and normalize the usage. Downplaying it enables this and it'll creep into every aspect.
The fact is that it does look bad and it does look like AI. It used to be that if you were going to do something but it was going to look bad, you'd deem it not worth it and cancel it. But now, you just use AI, it looks bad and you just shrug.
Just because the time constraints have been reduced, doesnt make it good. It looks bad and therefore, you should have either got some actual art or maybe just cancelled the whole campaign because it doesnt work
Saying "we're AI first" is just a way of trying to pump your stock or get investment capital in.
Most companies don't really use it effectively even if they say they do, you can be an "AI first company" and just be using AI to summarise your emails whilst you work there
These are good fixes. I have the Platinum now but replaying the whole game multiple times was a chore, the option to skip sections I think is a good compromise.
The story was great. I hope the next game has better combat and maybe includes these changes from the get go. I really didnt feel like redoing the entire house or school sections of the game 3 times added anything to my playthroughs I was just beelining through trying to get to the next bit of story

Re: Hades 2 Finally Announced for PS5, and It Arrives in a Matter of Weeks
@HerlockSholmes ha, I had to check if you were in the comments here.
I think you basically willed this into the world by making a prediction, and I thank you. Cant wait to play this!

Re: Crimson Desert's Mixed Reviews See Dev's Share Price Drop Almost 30%
@RedRiot193 I agree, but unfortunately, a lot of investor sentiment is vibe based (see AI boom, metaverse, etc etc).
Re: Crimson Desert's Mixed Reviews See Dev's Share Price Drop Almost 30%
@trev666 The specific issue here is investors are not gamers high/low expectations
They have essentially been misled into investing into the company, being promised the next 10/10 RPG.
As this is not what the game is and there was no knowledge of this before reviews, now is the time to exit the investment.
Re: Preview: I Think Pragmata Could Be PS5's Best Shooter Yet
@MrPeanutbutterz yeah its going for a very reasonable price I think I locked in for 50 also.
Resident evil similar, maybe its a capcom thing

@MrPeanutbutterz No flu in summer and ice cream sales go through the roof in summer, therefore ice creams cure flu

Yes, by people over 35. I'm just saying, emoji spam is a signifier you're over 35. And you've proven my point by doing it

@lazarus11 I mean looking at the emoji use on here, including from you, I'd think it was fairly obvious

Or they are, but this won't be launching when the PS5 version is?
Re: God of War: Sons of Sparta (PS5) - Series' Boldest Bet Is Also Its Slowest Burn

Re: Poll: Should God of War Trilogy Remake Adopt the Gameplay Style of Ragnarok?
Complete overhaul, more open world, new style combat, updated graphics and additions to the story/new characters etc to flesh out the trilogy.
I can and have still play the OG series and can even play them on current gen so I'm not interested in it just being the same
Theres so much more you could explore out of the story of the original trilogy and I'd like to see it expanded

Re: 'It's a Huge Upgrade': PS5 Pro Poised to Improve Massively in 2026
@nessisonett Obviously its expensive, but I got a Dualsense Edge and just got some stick drift after 2 years of serious use,
as you can replace the modules unlike the OG DS, a repair is really cheap and you're back to gaming again.
Its a spend more to save later thing of course, but I was quite happy with the results
I think it was Silksong that finally did it for my left stick. I think all that jerking the stick about messed it up
