Another terrible month. I tried out the WWE game and it was fun for all of a half hour before it got so hard it was unplayable. Also only 13 trophies and no platinum. Deleted.
My ps plus subscription just auto renewed in June, but I think I'm going to turn that off and cancel it. These games simply aren't any good, and any good game you get ... Any serious gamer already played or owned.
At this point I'm more happy with my psnow subscription then worthless ps plus. Don't play multiplayer anyway.
I think the content and the upgrade is well worth ten bucks, especially since ten bucks isn't ***** these days.
I don't know however if I want to play death stranding again. I played it through and for the most part enjoyed it the first time, but I just don't think it's the type of game I could get into again.
PS plus has been good to me this year, thankfully so as there isn't much to play on PS5.
I enjoyed and got the platinum on Man-eater.
My girlfriend got the platinum for Concrete Genie.
I'm playing Control and absolutely loving it, had I known it was this good I would have gladly paid 60 bucks for it. Probably the most use I've had from ps plus in a long time
Someone else having the ability to play a game doesn't impede my ability to play a game. Don't know why anyone would possibly care? Is the game any less fun knowing more people can play it? Console wars are over, grow up.
I want more reviews and coverage of new games... But wait... There is nothing coming out. I literally have nothing to play on my PS5 until maybe April, possibly May.
Nothing you guys can do about that. Much like Movie critics have been out of jobs the last year.
I fear we are going to hit a bubble soon where we get a real drought in about 2 years as a direct aftershock from Covid.
Who on the face of the earth buys physical games to begin with. It's pointless for Sony to worry about something this pointless when in probably 5 years physical games will barely exist.
@Tha_Likely_Lad I just don't know. There is very few PS5 games coming all together and it doesn't seem like there is going to be a plethora of indie games at launch like there was for PS4.
It will be a while before we get free ps5 games and since this selection is for only ps5 games it stands to reason it will take it's place for the time being.
That said since all PS4 games are backward compatible, I guess we can still play those on ps5..
I can't complain about this as it's a great selection of games for people to play who might have missed them. Personally I already own 13 of these... So not much value for me.
I wonder if this takes the place of the 2 free games a month?
@jdv95 I agree, some games with a scope this large should be granted 2 trophy lists. What's the difference between that or a game with 5 dlc packs adding 25 trophies
Of course, they want to force you to play multiplayer and hopefully get addicted and spend hundreds of dollars on card packs. Looks like I'm just doing the campaign and I'm out.
Not having difficulty options is stupid. Not everyone has an infinite amount of having hours and replaying segments of a 50 hour game over and over when you don't have time sucks. Hell, I switched God of war to easy.
E3 was disappointing last year knowing everything they showed was likely a 2017 title. How sad that they are all 2018 titles. All I'm really excited for this year is Assassin's Creed, Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein. That leaves a large gap from now until October. Guess I'll catch up on some Indies like Rime.
Sadly people are excited about a ten dollar game that is twenty years old. My view is that Sony has been giving us spaghettios for the last year, now they are giving us spaghettios and meatballs and people are jumping for joy
Who plays a Tell Tale game and cares about production values? We are here for the story, are we not?
Anyway, this was semi disappointing. For started it was quite possibly the shortest Tell Tale game episode ever, I finished it drunk in 2 hours. I was worried about not being able to finish, but it was over before I knew it.
I do like that we finally got a chance between approaching a situation as either Bruce or Batman, hoping there is ramifications to that in future episodes.
Otherwise the story was pretty slow and bland up until making a couple important decisions at the very end.
Love the franchise, normally do not complain about review scores, but I just want to note that neither The Last Of Us or GTA 5 offered up any new content and they received more favorable scores. Three games with an over 93 average Metacritic for the price of 1 game seems like a heck of a value.
Just because I am all digital as is anyone who is not a hoarder, does not mean that it should not have an HD Bluray player. The reason it should not have one is to keep the price down (I am well aware of the Xbox One S). The technology is not going anywhere any time soon. Anyone with a 4K television should have already invested in a stand alone player anyway. I honestly did not even know HD 4k Bluray was even a thing that existed until people started crying about its exclusion
First fallout game I did not purchase ALL the DLC for, actually I did not purchase any of it. Nuka World seems okay, but its not enough to draw me back into the game.
@DualWielding seriously to this day can't believe they won't give up knack or even shadow fall. Are those games really making any money? Obviously they are or they would give them away.
It's not a terrible selection but seriously, anyone who wanted journey has it by now. I own it, not even sure how since I've never played it, must have been well under 10 bucks at some point
This. I got the platinum but the story was so boring and none of the choices mattered and nothing impacted the world, ta all. I bought every single dlc for fallout 3 and new Vegas and didn't spend 1 single cent on fallout 4 dlc. I feel bad for people who bought season pass since fallout had an excellent reputation for dlc
@Rsco6969 I some what agree, we are still responsible for what we purchase. Do I think we should get refunds because it doesnt look like the trailers? No, we were duped and that is that. I would hope we all learned something from this experience though. The fact that the trailers were so spectacular and yet they were unwilling to literally talk about any aspect of the game should have been a red flag for me and next time it will be. The review embargo and the desperation to keep people from playing early copies that were essentially unchanged should have been an indication. I watched live streams and should have learned from that, so I really do have to blame myself, and I have learned from this.
@stevejcrow I agree. People need to educate themselves, however people should not be discouraged from buying a game day 1 and finding out that it crashes more than any game in PS4 history. I believe the crashing and broken nature in that sense is some what unpredictable and the type of thing that might warrant a refund. I probably crashed over 60 times, im actually just 1 trophy away from the platinum and I am not asking for a refund as I do believe I got my moneys worth from No Mans Sky. But if developers want us to buy games day 1, they cant continue to embargo everything then deny refunds when we find out not only did we not get what we expected, but what we got is a crashing mess.
@Pink_Floyd I disagree. I have never ever seen a game in as bad shape as No Mans Sky on release. I have had more crashes in single sessions of No Mans Sky than I have had with every game combined on my launch PS4.
@Ralizah I agree. I dont think it would be hard for Sony to track abusers anyway. Hey, you got a refund on the last 2 games you bought, no more for 6 months...
I cant do it anymore. Haha. I bought it day one on Gamecube. I bought it on PS2 and I bought it on PS3. Unless this was a remake from ground up with modern controls and graphics I cannot keep purchasing the same games. I will be getting the Bioshock collection though haha
@Ralizah To be fair I dont think I crashed once in the first 2 hours. However since release I likely have crashed over 60 to 70 times. Sony should be able to see this since I turned all of the crashes in. Still, I am satisfied and not looking for a refund, but if I was under these circumstances I think I should be entitled considering the difficulties I have had and reported. I dont think people deserve refunds because they simply dont like the end product. Yeah, there was tons of bullshot trailers, nobody forced us to buy day one and there is plenty of outlets to find out how good or bad a game is prior to buying. But a game like No Mans Sky that constantly crashes for no reason, if a Sony rep can look at your account and see you have turned in numerous crash reports, you should be entitled to refund.

Re: Deathloop Is High-Intensity Dishonored on PS5, And We're Here for It
Game looks great, I was looking forward to it. They should have waited to announce no more games are coming to playstation until after this releases.
I will be boycotting, voting with my dollars. If Microsoft don't want my money in the future, no sense in giving it to them now.
It's their loss, not mine.

Re: Feature: Could PlayStation Do More to Promote Green Packaging?
@Culjoseth nobody cares, but there is no new games to play or talk about so they can all pretend to be advocates. Politically correct.

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Hitman Level from the World of Assassination Trilogy?
Can't tell you. I STILL CANT PLAY!!!! No customer support from IO what so ever.

I couldn't tell you what the story in hitman 2 was about and I love the series

Re: Game of the Year: Lloyd's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2020
I can't even make a top 5 for this year.
All I know is Ghost Of Tsushima is the best game in several years.
Re: Game of the Year: #10 - The Pathless
It's good, I didn't get to finish because I fell off a mountain and didn't feel like spending hours trying to figure how to get back to the top.
Some of the puzzles are clever. If this is a top ten game of the year it's been a ***** year.
Decent at best.
Re: 10 Things You Should Do First with Your New PS5 This Christmas
First thing you should do is sell your PS5 until it has some games.
Got mine launch day and it was the least exciting launch ever and I'm honestly bored with it.
Got nothing to play until hitman.
Re: Poll: Did You Get a PS5?
Honestly it's not like it's a bad console, there is just nothing captivating to play on it.
It's pay me now or pay me later so I have mine now under the idea that eventually I will have good games to play.
But my opinion right now would be save your money, your not missing anything here.
P.s. the controller is nice
Re: PS5 Pre-Order Mess Put into Perspective as Xbox Buyers Are Also Forced to Scramble
You can blame Sony for not giving us a concrete time table.
You can't blame them for Walmart jumping the gun and everyone following.
Or for websites that can't handle the volume of people.
I wanted a PS5 and was able to secure one, even if I couldn't get the version I wanted.
Tried to get an Xbox to scalp like a scumbag and I couldn't get through anywhere.
It seems giving an exact time frame only made it harder because there was more volume.
Re: Looks Like Assassin's Creed Valhalla Will Be 60FPS, 4K on PS5
Game looks so boring. I loved AC right up until the last two installments.
It's just too much crap now. So boring.

Where is that Fry meme...

Re: Future Bethesda Games Could Still Come to PlayStation Despite Xbox Ownership
@SirAngry Also don't spend 7.5 billion to leave what is probably 20 million sales on the table.
Re: Future Bethesda Games Could Still Come to PlayStation Despite Xbox Ownership
Sony has 105 million consoles, Microsoft is still in the business of making money, it would be stupid to not release games on playstation platform.
Timed exclusivity and dlc will probably be a thing though, but you need a good 6 months to work out Bethesda bugs anyway.

Re: All PS5 Launch Games
Other than Spiderman it looks like I'll be playing PS4 games on my PS5 for a while.
Not even interested in ubisoft latest versions of assassin's creed and watch dogs and I used to love those series.
I'll replay Spiderman for a new platinum trophy when that remaster comes, other than that I don't see much until Far Cry 6
Re: PS5 Digital Edition vs Standard PS5: What's the Difference?
Really wanted the digital edition considering I haven't bought a physical game in probably over 5 years.
All I could get is the disc drive edition, 100 bucks straight in the garbage, but whatever.
Re: You Can Pre-Order a PS5, But We Still Don't Know What Its Main Menu Looks Like
I wouldn't care if they used the same exact UI as PS4 as it's perfect. It's nice and clean and has everything you need in nice neat folders.
I would like to see them do something with the settings menu so there isn't so many categories.
