Re: Expect a Fallout 4: Far Harbor Performance Improving Patch Next Week on PS4

@stevejcrow i dont think a revised score is a good idea, it gives them an excuse to keep doing this practice. Put it this way, releasing a game to oatch it later knowing full well its not up to par does impact potential sales, its substantial enough for any company to not rush a game out to patch it later. Launches mean everything, if the launch isnt food they lost potential profit. They can keep doin their practice, but even though they are just making the sales, they could be making more doing it right the first time.

Re: No Man's Sky UK Release Date Pushed Forward

@SegaBlueSky gamers have always been a bunch of whiners and it started with the PC. lol when I was really active on PC gaming, so many PC'ers were always whining about balance and when developers listened, they were the first ones to jump ship right after. Basically whiners whine and when they get their way they either Don't buy the game, whine more about something else, or just stop playing once they get their way. It's really odd.

Re: Expect a Fallout 4: Far Harbor Performance Improving Patch Next Week on PS4

@Flaming_Kaiser it still does impact their sales because people like me are certainly not going to buy it. I was going to buy it which is rare when it comes to DLC, but because of the problems, I'll pass. There are many more that are in the same boat as me, while there are many others that will buy it anyway. The problem here is no one is taking into account the "loss of potential sales", that's what hurts because that potential could be a good sum of profit, but they wouldn't know now because Bethesda just chucked it on out and basically said "durrrrr we'll patch it laterz lolz lolz lolz". It's stupidity like that, that handicaps potential company profits.

Re: Expect a Fallout 4: Far Harbor Performance Improving Patch Next Week on PS4

@stevejcrow i think it really does, the reviews on the internet can sell or break a game. Sure there are a couple hundred thousand people that will buy it, but at one point, depending on the praise, it could've been a million.

There have been quite a few games that launched where they didnt launch good at all which in turn got bad reviews and it can and a lot times it does impact sales. Driveclub is a great example of this.

Re: Expect a Fallout 4: Far Harbor Performance Improving Patch Next Week on PS4

Kamikaze_Krunch

This really goes for all developers out there. Everything on release a game depends on the launch of the game or even the DLC. If any developer releases a game in a horrible performance state, it's going to impact sales, that right there has just ruined the future for that specific game or even the DLC if there are problems with that. Developers actually think that if they patch it later, they will make up for the sales that were lost at launch.....It never does.

I never understood how developers have never figured this out ever since the internet was mainstream in consoles. It's absolutely ridiculous that certain developers keep on tripping over the same hole when they can easily avoid such critism. I mean, my goodness.

Re: Just How Bad Is Fallout 4: Far Harbor on PS4?

Kamikaze_Krunch

This is clearly a bug, but while this may not be the main reason, it is one reason I don't buy expensions. Not only is the game finished before this point, I just don't see a need to keep playing quite a few months later. If these expansions would have come out much, much sooner, then I may have bought them.

Re: Round Up: TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan Gets Deep Panned by Critics

Kamikaze_Krunch

Developers really need to start pulling their heads out of you know what. This is starting to get really lame when developers completely dork a TMNT game. There is a formula that creates failure in most games that fail, how developers never learn from that stuff is beyond even my mindset. absolutely ridiculous and there isn't an excuse for it.

Re: Round Up: Homefront: The Revolution PS4 Reviews Stage an Uprising

Kamikaze_Krunch

but I'm really not interested in the story as is. Also for bioshock infinite, yes it has a good story, some FPS games do, but I thought the gameplay was kind of bad, at least the controlling of the character, I didn't care much for the gameplay aspect of Bioshock at all.

Put it this way, if I buy an FPS game, it's most certainly not because of the story.

@AyeHaley, in most cases on pretty much all the websites out there scoring on a 1 to 10 chart, a 5 is below average, 7 is an okay game but still meh (in terms of the ratings). You really have to read the review and try to match the rating with the written review as well is dissect the review. lol

Re: Round Up: Homefront: The Revolution PS4 Reviews Stage an Uprising

Kamikaze_Krunch

@AyeHaley Doesn't matter, that is really me to find out if I don't like it. Not everyone likes the same game. It really wouldn't surprise me if I liked this game. Lots of reviews that rated a game bad, I ended up liking. It's like listening to critics on movies. I read the review to get an idea, but it's pretty easy to pick apart any review and to tell the difference that the critic either likes or hates the game. Then again knowing me I will watching a few user youtube videos on it and see how bad the game plays before buying. Story wise, pfft you show me a fps with a good story that isn't rehashed over and over in the gaming world. The only thing at this moment I really would care about is the gameplay.

People loved Crisis on the PC and I thought it was one of the most shallow games gameplay wise, nothing special at all besides the graphics, but people will definitely argue it with me.

Re: Tekken x Street Fighter Has Been KO'd for the Time Being

Kamikaze_Krunch

They could have pulled it off most definitely. The problem here is capcom, I know there are die hard Street fighter fans, but over the years when it comes to fighting games, capcom fails to evolutionize Street Fighter, they just can't do it, so all street fighter fans will get is a rehash of the same game, but looks better. yawn honestly, I use to love street fighter, but it's basically capcoms one trick pony.

Re: PS4 Games Dominate the 2016 BAFTA Game Awards

Kamikaze_Krunch

@Octane They are still real games whether you like it or not. It's a game, just like any other game out there be it Mobil, PC, console, or tablet. The only thing that separates them from one another is the genre of games, be it Action/adventure, platformer, racing, fighting, RPG, or whatever else.

Re: Soapbox: Why I Don't Think PS4K Is Okay

Kamikaze_Krunch

@__marc you don't need it, others that have a PS4 already don't need it, but if some decide to buy a second one or new adopters of the PS4 still haven't got it, so this doesn't matter anyway. You can say "we" as in early adopters of the PS4, but if this is true, you can't speak for everyone as it still doesn't matter. "we don't need this" correction is, "you don't need this", I don't need this, etc etc. either way, don't worry.

Re: Hands On: Platinum Demo: Final Fantasy XV Is Well Worth the Free Download on PS4

Kamikaze_Krunch

It was an okay demo. The game honestly reminded me of FFX more than anything. Besides that, the didn't like using a toy hammer or whatever, that part was rather meh, and I'm hoping that is just the beginning part with no more of him being young like that. It didn't pull me in much at all. There was barely any fighting gameplay elements long enough for me to say "this is so awesome". Instead the landscaping at the beginning was amazing, but the combat gameplay element left me with kind of a "meh" feeling.
