Re: Director Guillermo del Toro Still Really Freakin' Hates Konami

Kamikaze_Krunch

Konami really did screw up bigtime with how everything went down at that time. It was an epic disaster that took place and in the end Konami kind of screwed themselves. When you think of horrible business decisions, you can look at Konami, as well as previous Sony CEO howard stringer, and also SE with Tomb Raider. Konami on the other hand really did a big booboo on themselves.

Re: Poll: Are You Buying Final Fantasy XV?

Kamikaze_Krunch

I heard that only the first half of the game is open world, which means after that first half, they may go right back to linear crap. I cancelled my pre-order after reading about that. It's not just that though, Square Enix has had just a horrible habbit of crapping on the Final Fantasy series after FFX. I may just hold off on this game until I hear more of the pros and cons of it. The open world to linear mess is really bugging me though.

Re: Talking Point: Is Sony's Fall PS4 Exclusives Strategy Paying Off?

Kamikaze_Krunch

okay, so why are all these "blockbusters" coming out only in the fall. There has got to be a reason for it or this is clearly a psychological trend on the developers side and they aren't realizing how ridiculous it is. Certainly I would think a summer release would be really good considering kids are out of college and getting jobs which in turn they can spend money. O.o

Re: Only the First Half of Final Fantasy XV Is Open World, Apparently

Kamikaze_Krunch

I am going to hold off on the day 1 purchase and wait to see how others make from this. probably wait a few weeks before buying it. There are some developers out there that have definitely "cucumbered" gamers. In this case and for as big as the game is, saying that just the first half is open world. Yep, I won't pre-order this game and I'll wait a few weeks to see and hear what others make of it after they've played through the game. I don't care who developed the game or who was part of the game development, every developer has and will create failures and they will also cause people to live up the hype and then crush it. In this case and in cases before from other developers, I'm playing this one smart, just like I do with games that other developers make.

Re: Gamers Demanding a No Man's Sky Refund Aren't Happy with Sony

Kamikaze_Krunch

this is just people that bought the game and then read reviews or something after it and if others don't like it, they don't like it. or they just happened to buy something they didn't like.

All I have to say to that is, suck it up and understand that you will buy some games you thought you may like, but don't.

Re: Soapbox: No Man's Sky on PS4 Is the Biggest Disappointment of 2016

Kamikaze_Krunch

@blakey78 Doesn't matter if he used the word as a derogatory term, the word itself shows no bearing unlike words such as the F word and other such words in that category. this is becoming drama filled for no reason and it doesn't have to be drama filled unless forcebly pushed in that direction. this is getting lame now. I dont' agree with him at all about whoever is a cancer, just pointing out this factor alone and no need to put something into the drama category. o.O that's just me though, whatever.

Re: Soapbox: No Man's Sky on PS4 Is the Biggest Disappointment of 2016

Kamikaze_Krunch

considering this is an idie developer, what we are seeing isn't all that bad actually. While this is definitely not a game I would really enjoy playing, it doesn't take away the fact that they added some amazing features within this game. The ability to go from space and gradually fly into a planet sounds absolutely amazing. This could be used in future star wars games if other developers are smart enough to implement such a great feature. It's these types of games that can make future bigger budget games revolutionary.

Re: The Elder Scrolls VI Won't Be Revealed Years in Advance

Kamikaze_Krunch

@Nickolaidas yeah, when I hear a game being announced and it's a game I'm looking forward, too, my hype meter sky rockets, but when they show stupid crap like non-gameplay videos and announcements that are way to long, my hype meter crashes and disappears.

that's another thing, I want to see real gameplay in action of someone even a developer actually playing the game, even if you can't see the guy playing it, what's on screen should be what I see when I'm playing.

Re: Soapbox: No Man's Sky on PS4 Is the Biggest Disappointment of 2016

Kamikaze_Krunch

I think the mistake here is that developers try to build success later in the game. What I mean by this is, developers will release a game with the intentions on adding all the cool stuff that really should've been added before to make the game so popular rather than waiting till months after it's release of a barebones game that really doesn't do anything at all but make you grind for hours on end. This, I believe, is the biggest mistake any developer could make.

Games need a great launch. if it's a boring game at launch, but then the developers decide to say "well we are going to do this and this later", they just failed the launch and completely dorked any positive execution of the game.

Developers around the world really need to understand that word of mouth and computers makes all this information travel to everyone within only a day or two. For me, I won't get this game because of the fact it's a grindcore game, all you do from what I'm reading everywhere is grind, grind, grind, and grind.

Re: The Elder Scrolls VI Won't Be Revealed Years in Advance

Kamikaze_Krunch

this is the right attitude though. I can't stand when a developer releases all these game videos or even announcement of said game only to be told it won't be out until like 2 years later. By that time, I'm just flat out sick of hearing about the game and most likely have grown bored of it.

Re: Narrow Margins Force PS4 from Top of US Hardware Charts for First Time in 2016

Kamikaze_Krunch

It's not surprising because right now, at least for me the gaming is rather dry, but it's dry for all systems. with that being said, people want to play something so they will most likely get an Xbox One. Me on the other hand I would rather get a WiiU over an Xbox One. The Xbox One really doesn't offer me anything I find attractive anyway. But with that being said, I understand there are gaming dry spells, and right now, it's happening until the fall hits. I wouldn't pay $200 for a system that only has 1 or 2 games I may want to play. meh

Re: Soapbox: You Shouldn't Feel Bad for Liking Destiny

Kamikaze_Krunch

@get2sammyb I agree, but the internet is really a place for opinion and a lot mistaken that for people pushing their opinions as fact. I personally think that Destiny sucked because of the route they took the game. Technically when they first announced Destiny and their plans, it was suppose to be more mmorpg'ish in both gameplay, content, and a slew of weaponry. What they did though was shrink that idea scale down to almost nothing, put in a fair amount of weaponry but the stats on the weapons and even the end content were so identicle. Pretty much, the content in Destiny blows

Re: You Can Download August's Free PlayStation Plus Games Now

Kamikaze_Krunch

@Spooke2k the main point is, is that you can compared PS3 PS+ all you want, but when it first came out they had to sell that thing like no tomorrow, then once it was 1 year before PS4 released, that is when the good games came out. on the PS3, PS+ was on there for a good while before the awesome games even came out. o.O

Re: You Can Download August's Free PlayStation Plus Games Now

Kamikaze_Krunch

@Spooke2k You do realize that PS+ on the PS3 wasn't even that great until a year before PS4 released and it was out for quite awhile before that.

This whole mentality of I want this game or give us a AAA game. guess what, if Sony listened to that person, then 10 more would complain because they already have that title. It's almost like people just have to whine about these free games. their free, deal with it and move on. LOL my goodness.

I mean, am I the only one that feels grown up enough to just say "those titles aren't my thing, I'll wait and see what's next month". It wasn't long ago that the PS4 had a couple of awesome games on the PS+. really though, you can't win them all and that is definitely a proper quote for this.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront's Final DLC Will Be Rogue One Themed

Kamikaze_Krunch

@get2sammyb yeah, but even Battlefield isn't really that hardcore. I understand that there are people that like it, just like there is always a game that has people that like it. That being said, they could have done this whole thing much better. I really believe the developers slacked on this title and that's saying it kindly.

Re: No Man's Sky File Size Isn't as Big as You May Think on PS4

Kamikaze_Krunch

I think the game randomly generates planets as you go, so that really wouldn't take up a lot of space. All the stuff is set in the game so I assume it's just randomly generated with percentages based on each texture to be placed on the planet and animals as well. Some animals and textures (walls, plants, etc etc) will have such a low percentage that you may never see them over the course of your playing time.

This game is really going to thrive on VR.

Re: Lara Croft's Tomb Raider Will Rise on PS4 This Holiday

Kamikaze_Krunch

I knew this awhile ago that this was not only going to bite Microsoft in the butt, but more so on square enix. While it may be a partnership, The title was the wrong title to do this partnership and the only reason it even took place wasn't just because of square enix, but also Microsoft in hoping it would sell more units, which it really didn't have any effect on it and in turn it created more of a negative effect on square enix. They would have probably made more money just coming out with it on both systems.

There is no perfect company and this was just a "booboo" made by SqareEnix, I doubt they will do that again. Even after they did the deal, the company in general I do believe wish they could have undone what they did. Either way, it's a company first and foremost, a game developing company that relies heavily, in fact relies 100% on profit, just like any other company. The person that made the decision just used really bad judgement, that's all it is.

Re: Sony Shutting LittleBigPlanet's Servers Down in Japan

Kamikaze_Krunch

what pissed me off with the LBP series is that on every newly released game, it would have the same problems that the previous game had at launch, they would take almost a year to fix the horrible lag and whatever else. This happened to all 3 LBP games. I got the first two games, I passed on the 3rd installment. I won't miss the series. If they would have released the games without the tedious garbage, I would've enjoyed it a lot more.

Re: Sony Could End Up Paying Millions to Angry Linux Fans

Kamikaze_Krunch

@get2sammyb exactly, well for me I don't care. I am quite sure there is something in their terms of use that states they can change that at any time they see fit, if people agree to it, which they have to in order to use it or play games, then they just agreed by contract and the lawsuit is void.
