Day 1 for me. Always hoped we'd see something like this someday.

Reminds of the PS3 early era. The old "if you want it, you'll pay whatever for it" type of energy.

Sadly, they're probably right about their hardcore audience still shelling it out. I've been gaming on PS since the PS1. It's going to be hard for me to walk away from that, even at a crazy price tag.

Most of this generation has been one bad decision after another, this being one of the worst and most insulting.

I think the poll results are curious. It just shows how little overall impact the hardcore PS audience has on the overall direction of PlayStation. Less than 15% were purchased physically on PS5, yet the overwhelming majority of people on this site say that it'll cause them purchase less games with no physical editions available. We're in our own bubble here, no doubt.

I feel bad for their fanbase, but also elated that MS is reaping what they've sown. You can't just buy your way to success in this industry. I'm glad gamers saw through that. I'm hopeful the talent in the affected studios will find another home soon.

He's not wrong about it looking more and more like a fantasy series and less like the bloody mess the series started out as. I guess we have Wolverine for that now.

Still, I like the new GoW games so far, even if they have lost a bit of their edge. I'll be curious to see how the remake of the OG Trilogy does.

Even if all of these games were bangers and were something I wanted to play, there's no way any normal person with a job and a life could/would invest into multiple live-service games. I get everyone wanting to jump on the bandwagon, but I don't understand why Sony felt the need to invest in more than a couple of these at once. I guess they were just hoping something would stick.

I bought the game because of it's high reviews and cheap price tag. Haven't touched it yet but I assume everyone's upset that it's apparently woke, which 90% of the people here in the US are tired of.

Having said that, I loved Life is Strang (the first one) and I guess that's sorta wokish' so it depends on how well it's executed and the story itself. Just like any other game.

Myst is a seminal game in my life. I never played through Riven but I've been tempted to since the remakes came out.

I'm going to wait for the remakes.

Mario was a blast. Just a silly and shallow as the first one. Still a great time and my 4 year old daughter (the real target audience) loved it.

@RyPal You're completely right about that, sadly. I know it's not just gaming.

Gaming is going back to be a luxury. I bought a PS5 pro when it came out and it felt too expensive then. I'm glad I got it when I did, but, I'm definitely not going to rush out and spend $1k on whatever the next Sony console is. I'll probably start shifting towards PC and then just wait a few years until there are exclusives worth owning. Sad to see gaming in this state, but we should have expected it.

The premise of this entire game is ridiculous.

I wish I were surprised, but I'm not. I never really got hyped for this because it just looked like it was all over the place.

Incredible.....I didn't think I'd see Concord 2 again this early. I'm personally hoping the industry takes notice and moves away from it.

There's still plenty of life to squeeze out of the PS5. outside if better graphics, framerates, etc, I don't really know what innovations in gaming a PS6 could bring to us that PS5, especially Pro, can't handle already. This is especially true with the types of games coming out these days. There are far fewer games relying on bleeding edge tech to ingratiate themselves into the ecosphere. 8k Fortnite? Nice, maybe. But needed? No.

As someone who's owned ever Playstation system since PS1, I am happy to wait.

I was really hoping for a new Suikoden but I'm curious about this.

I'm very curious to see how well it works. I've not been super disappointed or anything in the PS5 Pro, but I'd like to see what else they can do with PSSR, especially when it comes to handling Ray Tracing.

E33 still does it for me, even though I badly wanted to put DS2 in there. Very close.

It looks like a solid MMO. I am just concerned there isn't a demand for MMO's like there used to be.

I'm curious what they're defining as "life cycle." Technically, the PS4 still isn't at the end of it's life cycle as there are still games being developed for it.

I personally don't want a PS6 until Fall 2028 at the earliest. There's still plenty of life to squeeze out of this gen.

This is so very timely. I was literally on the verge of selling my PS Portal to help fund a Steam Deck. Now I think I'm gonna hold onto this and up my subscription to PS Premium. If it works well, I may just forgo the Steam Deck all together.

Feels like a very Konami thing to do. They couldn't get the MGS collection right either out of the box. w

I mean, he sounds like he's speaking for the hardcore audience in that we want more AAA exclusives and don't want Sony chasing Live Service games (I include myself in that crowd). But Playstation is undeniably doing amazing when it comes to overall profit. They're not really suffering financially, at least not in a significant way.

I really enjoyed OT2 and am looking forward to this one. It'll be interesting to see if they make a more focused, linear story.

I would be so happy if they did a new one! 1 and 2 are some of my all time favorite games.
