This is on my radar for sure. I like that it's only going to be 30-40 hours.

The issue I have is that I can't actually physically play most of the best VR games. I get motion sickness pretty quickly.

I just started (for like the 3rd time) a Persona 4 Golden playthrough. Never completed it before.

It's hard to go back to the old style of gameplay/mechanics after playing P5 and P3 Reload, but the characters and the story are keeping me intrigued.

I also wonder if I should just wait for this game to get announced and play that instead.

I have 2 young kids, a wife, and 3 jobs. My time is very limited. I'm lucky if I get more than an hour a day to game (coming down from around 3-5 when I was single).

It takes me usually takes me a minimum of 2-3 months to finish a big RPG unless I can squeeze some extra time on weekends or holidays. I just finished Persona 3: Reload in about 75 hours, which took me a couple months.

I love huge RPGs like Persona and FF, it's just hard to keep up with them.

Look fantastic. I love that it's only going to be 35-40 hours.

Someone got it right haha. This is the best game of 2024 for sure. I know it's opinions, but nice to see someone put it at the top. Well deserved.

Persona 3. Metaphor is way too busy IMO.

@LogicStrikesAgain those are all valid opinions. One is less "nice" sounding but it doesn't invalidate the point being made. And lots of people are sick of it.

It's simple: if you continue to create characters that aren't visually appealing to the vast majority of your audience, you're going to get pushback.

I'm an NG fan and have enjoyed everything that they've put out to one degree or another. But people pretending these things don't matter or shouldn't matter are delusional. They DO matter. You can call that shallow or whatever, but it's all part of a package that you're selling to people.

Being "nasty" has also lost it's meaning since simply disagreeing with this sort of "masculine malish female" puts you on a list.

I'm sure it's gonna be great. Horrible character design IMO. Boring.

I'll be at work when they air, but I'll be keep close tabs and watching the highlights later.

I scored a pathetic 6. Sad, since I grew up with the PS1 as my main.

Boooo. This seems like the most obvious thing to do.

I fired this up yesterday because I had heard about the Pro enhancements being insane. I'll go ahead and say that I was really impressed with it. Some scenes look photo realistic, especially at the beginning when they're riding the horses into town.

I wasn't going to get one but I had about $300 in Amazon gift cards and Im selling my ps5 for $300. I'll pay the $100+ for an upgrade.

I'm actually surprised how good the PS4 version still looks. I'll play this again but after I get my Pro in.

What a difference a few days makes. Wow, coming back to this after seeing all of the push-back online has been interesting.

I'm glad to see it's a good game. I don't know if I feel more compelled to play it than before, as the game style looks off. I'll check into some videos and see. I'll be very curious to see how this sells.

GTA6 will consume my life. #1 for sure.

Death Stranding 2 is #2 and Clair Obscura #3.

I think I'd have to mark it as "Solid" even though I overall thought it was disappointing.

I expected the game play loop to be similar as the prior game(s), but what really irked me was the treatment of the characters, especially Peter Parker. It's probably been said 1000x here an elsewhere, but they really neutered him in favor of pushing some other, lesser characters to the forefront. I felt like it was more like Spider-Therapy at times. Mary Jane was....pretty lame. Miles was great, but being set-up to replace Peter is overall stupid IMO. The writing was just forgettable and felt (dare I say it) woke.

Great game play, though, and traversing around the world was as fun as ever. However, I think they should have saved the wing-suit till later in the game. Getting it right off the bat made me feel like swinging was kind of pointless.

Based on the 10 hour demo, I'd give it an 8. I felt compelled to keep playing, even though I thought I'd quit a few times. I did feel like I was struggling to latch on to the characters and overall point of the story, but I do want to play the full game eventually.

The more I see this, the more I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Looks incredible.

Pre-ordered the pro from Amazon. Had a gift card for $300 and am selling my old ps5 for $300. I didn't want to do it at first, but the PS5 is my primary gaming unit and I want the best experience I can get on it.

So, I've been playing the demo and I'm feeling mixed about it so far.

I feel like the way you get thrown into the world is very jarring, especially considering how outrageous some of the world/character designs are. Granted, I'm only maybe 3 hours into the prologue demo, but so far there's already been some major events that have taken place and I'm struggling to figure out why I should care.

Can you speak to how this plays out as the game progresses? I loved Persona 5 and think this looks good, but it's another huge time commitment I'm not too anxious to commit to.

Really excited to finally play the Dead Space remake.

How much time are people spending on the media bar? I just go where I want to go and ignore all the background stuff.

Just waiting for them to release the eventual S/E DLC pack.

I'm so excited for this. It took me like 4 tries to get into the first one, but by the time I did I was very grateful I stuck with it. Such an incredible experience.

That photo mode is something else. I'm honestly kinda blown away.

I've been an MK fan a long time but MK1 was a big step back IMO. I know they're trying to do an alternate universe, but most of the changes are worse IMO. Cyrax and Sektor look completely uninteresting.

Get back to the dark feel of MKX.

I'm more and more interested in getting it the more I hear about it.

I'll admit it: I'm starting to come around to wanting one...

I do think it sucks that a game like this is launching into an environment where stuff like "girl bosses" are incredibly taboo. IMO, I don't like the constant gender swapping and replacing of masculine roles with females....when it's done poorly.

Jin was the least interesting part of GoT to me. I honestly forgot his name. If there's one thing that Blue Eyes Samurai taught me is that a badass female samurai can work just fine if handled properly. Just don't take away what makes her a female by trying to make her just a man with boobs. Retaining her femininity while also being a warrior would be great to see.

Hard hit for Sony but I'm glad this happened in such a big and impossible-to-ignore way. They've got to do better.

It's been a while since I've played a game that just felt like a joyous experience. This appears to be everything I hoped it'd be. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
