It also came at a time when so many other games where coming out. Armored Core, Baldur’s Gate 3, Starfield. Etc. It should have been delayed to next year and maybe worked on a bit more. It got sandwhiched so bad.

@Tharsman Sony, MS, and Steam plus others would be furious if delisting meant already purchases games could not be redownlaoded.
Unity will probably have to adjust this to be only for future games at worst case

I'm divided on it being free to play. If it keeps the current monotizatoin model with a million packs, sure, okay. The base game is already worthless even at launch to be honest. If they make the monetization even worse it's over. It's already completely overpriced and they divided one Sims 3 expansion into three for the Sims 4, and Sims 3 was already very overpriced.

iPhone games get lost to time so quickly. Essentially all of the good games are gone now because of iOS updates. Phones are an awful as a meaningful way to play games.
This is also a potential horrible distraction for game development and toning games down making their playstyle suitable for a phone without a controller. Yes, the tech is cool. No, this is not a good thing for us.

The beep is great, it’s a traditional and must remain.
How about rest mode not being a bright nightlight? I would love to have it in at night for downloads, but it’s close to where I sleep so I can’t have it on at night. It’s insane the bright light is mandatory.

The live action looks so awkward. It just makes it uncomfortable and they really should have kept to normal video game graphics.

I’ve been playing it on resolution mode and the frame rate seems perfect to me. I don’t see the issue.

Why isn’t furry listed as a negative?
There are great anthromorphic animals and characters, this screams furry in a no so great way…..

@mariomaster96 He got hurt, I was never confused about that, I haven’t played any of the DLCs, just the vanilla game (with updates).
One day I’ll play them as I bought them all and I’ll play the whole game again.

@Th3solution Some will lapse, but others will just drop to essential. I think the dropping one will be more notable, especially for premium, and the new subs will be less likely to get a higher tier.
I wonder if this will make a PS5 look more intimidating to get though, because $80+ the $500 makes it feel like a more expensive purchase.

@Matroska My point is that the games in the spotlight don’t feel like a genuine recommendation list, they feel like they were paid to put them there first and foremost. These being the 4 major games doesn’t feel like anyone at the site feels that way.
It feels more like an ad than a recommendation.

EA sports and Sonic Superstars and almost nothing else? This doesn't feel like an actual recommendation list, this feels like a paid ad. This doesn't feel like anything else the site puts out or gives as an opinion.

@VeldinX UK is England with added territory. It’s the same country for all intents and purposes in a game like Civ.

I never found anyone to play in the demo and then they turned off the demo’s online so I can’t see if anyone is online. Wonderful tactics.

A 100+ hour with a bunch of updates that say “restart the game”.
I love what I’ve played of OS2, but I’m glad I’ve been playing the patched definitely edition, not just the definitive edition. I hope they don’t do the same thing here, or try to minimize that.

@CastelloGG That’s a niche market. There’s a very small number of people that understand you can even hook up a KB&M on a PS5, and a niche if that small portion that would even do it.
It might be nice for a few people, but it wouldn’t make much of a sales difference.

Good, I always knew the S was a bad idea. MS didn’t realize a dev would do this with a big blockbuster game, and now realized it may have been a while, if ever, they got BG3.
A weaker console was always going to hold things back.
I predicted this, and I think the S is going to start losing games at some point, or get terrible versions. Then MS will have more damage control due to another bad decision.
I hope the UK keeps blocking that Activision deal and forces MS to actually make good product decisions for the first time since the 360.

I should probably just vary what I do with my time some more if the normal TV won't suffice to be honest.

Bill Clinton kid was hilarious and waited for the From dev to finish (which he said he specifically did to not interrupt his moment), blended in perfectly, and spoke with such confidence while spouting utter nonesense, finished, and left while getting applause from the confused audience. That was an act and a performance.
This was a random heckler and just disruptive and interruptive with none of the attributes the kid had. Just poor and obvious.

I think Laurian (I’m sure that’s misspelled) with BG3 is taking BioWare’s spot in the industry. Bioware made the old BG games BTW, so that’s happening with BW own legacy in a way.

@Nepp67 None of the gore was important or really needed for the story and they absolutely did keep dropping F bombs in the game. Many more than needed to be there.
None of what you said required an M rating, the Eikon scenes weren’t gorey and the heavy topics don’t make a game rated M. Much heavier things have been in T games.
In also said it being M was edgelordy, not the game in general itself being full of it.

@DennisReynolds It’s FF in almaot everything other than being very RPGy. It was FF in the more important ways IMO.

Being rated M may have also hurt it a bit, and after playing through the entire game, it really didn’t need the M rating and the decision to make it rated M felt more edgelord than anything.
They made it M to make it M.

@LiquidouSnake I expect at least 1080P for any rerelease yes, and also, this is an expensive rerelease, not a $20-25 cheap bundle.

I'm not sure casuals will want to play an older port like that. I imagine it might get more attention than sales. I also hope for that.

It looks cool, but I wondered how they can deal with jank. I fence in real life, so I could be extra interested in this, but I will also compare it to the real thing lol.

@RedRiot193 You’re just adding to what I’ve said. I said they released a 3/10 game. I didn’t say it still was. The point is that they broke trust gave gamers explicitly good reason to not have as much faith or goodwill. I never said they didn’t fix it, just that the changed perception of CDPrRD was anything but bipolar.
They’ve done a fair bit to some trust and goodwill back, but they how was loss of it bi-polar? That’s what the entire point here lies on.

@RedRiot193 It’s a valid point that CDProject Red wasn’t the gaming community being bi-polar. If they hadn’t released a 3/10 game that wouldn’t have happened.
Maybe we shouldn’t have hyped them up so much, but, that’s a different criticism to saying they got turned on after going from a 10/10 to a 3/10 at this publication, and number of others too. I don’t think that’s ever happened before TBH as well.

@Geep You’re forgetting about PC and Mac, IOS and Android, etc. anything that’s requires an actual computer has long dealt with this, and continued to do so as a total monopoly hasn’t formed.

It looks cool, but I heard it was the quest version and not the PC version, and that may push away. Otherwise probably want this.

I'm so glad I got another 2TB of Storage. AC isn't not huge, but with BG3 coming a couple weeks later, it's such a great QoL improvement.

You know, I wonder if waiting a month will be a blessing depending on the number of fixes. I understand that Original Sin 2 got so many updates that said "requires a new game" in a 100+ hour game like anyone who played before the update had time for that. If they change or fix anything with stuff you're stuck with the entire game, I'll be very glad for the months wait. I hope they don't do that again though.
This will be the most unreplayable but most replayable game ever made.

@ShogunRok I think they have been for a while now with older games after the remasters of the old games....

Having regular cinematics and a proper DnD combat system are exciting me a lot. This sounds like it won't be as hard and time consuming as D:OS2's combat, which is a great game, but combat takes a long time and many tries. It also helps that I already know the rules.
The one down side of looking things up though, is that from EA there's whole bunch of wrong info out there.

That doesn’t sound great…. Especially because it’s probably not going to tie some of the horny things to playing a bad guy.
However, they did announce what I believe is a nudity filter, so that will probably be convicted by that to pick it up.

Why does the fact that Madden and EA FC is on here but Armored Core and BG3 are not on the essentials seems suspicious?
This isn’t a natural list nor does it seem like any sort of honest recommendation.

I’d rather we try again and get a team that can actually take the story of Twisted Metal instead of replacing it with a generic one since they don’t know what do with the story given to them.
I guess good for the people who like, but Twisted Metal 2 has a special place in my heart and I’m a bit of a purist with it. And I think it had more potential than the premise given.

I can’t get past how generic they made the premise because they didn’t know how to actually utilize the concept of Twisted Metal. I’m glad it’s not a total disaster, but it to be lacking is basic creativity and it needed to be more than a silly romp. Twisted Metal is actually known, especially after black, to have some interesting story. Yes, comedy is important to TM, but so is the dark story of it.
