If this had local play then it might be purchased once heavily discounted, but as it stands now it's very much a hard pass from me and everyone I know.

The only thing this game has me excited for is a nice bubble bath. They really dropped the soap with this title.

This is great news for the developers. Such a fantastic game in every way. I'm glad it achieved such high levels of success.

After reading this review I was surprised by the 7/10 score. I guess my moral compass works differently than this site because there's no way I'd give this more than a 4/10 due to all the MTX nonsense. Such a shame really. Another game ruined by pure greed.

I read that as Hogwarts in 8 bit mode... So confusing.

I wasn't prepared to read such ignorance in the comment section this morning. Also, way to go, dehumanizing "burger flippers and cashiers" by telling them they're worth next to nothing in your eyes. These are people you're talking about. Why do you think they deserve less? Are you better than them?

I like the look of this. Love the bikes. There's not nearly enough platformers being made anymore, so I'm always glad to see them being produced still.

It's good to see Crash games still being made, but not this one.

This handheld is also great for retro gaming if you go the emulator route. It can even play some PS2 and GameCube titles flawlessly.

Tilt! This is a shame. What a horrible way to reboot. I guess I'll never upgrade past FX3, which is totally fine with me.

This slump in players is completely their own doing with the sheer amount of greed in this game. I personally hope all the live service games end up much the same. I understand they'll keep on trying, but they're just not for me due to the way they're monetised.

I really don't understand why anyone would care about this at all. Such a waste of time, resources, etc...

I game share with another member of my family, but they play on a PS4 — Does anybody know if I buy the PS5 version will I be able to game share the PS4 version on my account?
I know that there are PS4 to PS5 upgrades that are free, but are there any games that go the other way? Downgrades, if you will.
Or would I be better off waiting to get the PS4 version, game share, and then upgrade to PS5?

I still remember the days of old, when I used to play Sonic on the original Sega master system, 8bit style. I've been a fan since the beginning, and glad to see the recent success of the franchise. I like this new approach they've taken. Hopefully they keep building upon the open world format.

This is good news, as Fenyx was an enjoyable light-hearted adventure, albeit a BOTW imposter. The narration humour was also a welcome addition.
The Hawaiian Polynesian aspect of the sequel sounds great. There are so many gods to play around with - Kamapua’a, Pele, Na-maka-o-Kaha’i, Laka, Poli’ahu, Lilinoe, Kane, Lono, and of course Ku, the God of War. (Just to name a few)

Bummer. I was hoping this would be a worthy tennis title after all the recent failures. I guess I'll keep playing Super Tennis and Virtua Tennis until another developer tries again

It's a fun game in small bursts, albeit chaotic at times. Congrats to the developers for the continued success.
They definitely need more default costumes from the start, however, because every single new player looks exactly the same, leaving the screen in a pinkish blur. Although, perhaps that's done intentionally to get the new players to buy those show bucks for an instant costume upgrade.

After all these years I've still never played this game, as I'm not really into kill everyone multiplayer type affairs. It certainly is a polished looking experience however. Perhaps one day.
Does anyone know if you can play in a private room where you only play with your personal friend list?

@glassmusic I know quite a few people who are still struggling to find a PS5. Not everyone can just "show up when they go live," as you put it. Some of us lead pretty hectic lives — raising kids, working full-time and then some, studying, being a jiggalo, etc... and don't have the time or energy to hunt down a piece of hardware.

Everything about this game looks absolutely incredible. It's one of the few titles that I'm truly excited for - and it has the bonus factor that it really makes me want to rewatch Seven Samurai or Rashomon or any other Kurosawa classic for that matter. Perhaps I need to dust off my old DVDs before it comes out

Interesting. I've still yet to ever play Fortnite, but good on her for being a part of it. I'm assuming she's a fan of the game, so great to be featured in it. And I imagine it's one more boost to her mental well being.
Naomi is such a great athlete and fantastic at hitting those fuzzy yellow balls.

Not matter much I want to smack those fuzzy yellow balls around, I shall remain very skeptical about this game being worthwhile. But like Sammy said, please be good. Yes, pretty please, with all the cherries you can ask for.

This is what I was hoping the original DLC was going to be - more mythological realms. From the screenshots alone this looks very much amazing.

This game looks amazing in every way. And now to dust off my Akira Kurosawa DVDs in the meantime...

@ShogunRok Agreed. Far too small of a chunk. I was saddened by how little time was spent in Asgard and Jottunheim. Don't get me wrong, I love the historical aspect of the AC games, it's why I enjoy playing them, but I think the last three titles have thrived when they've dealt with mythological realms.

Count me in! I found the mythological realms to be the best part of Valhalla.

Yes, some, but a helluva lot more would if it didn't require a PS+ subscription and was cross play with Switch and Xbox.

Bug after bug after glitch after crash after bug after glitch after crash after bug etc... I was able to complete it, platinum trophy in virtual hand, but damn was it a mess.
Valhalla was, hands down, the most buggy game I've ever played.

I'm currently making my way through Fenyx, about 90% complete. Not a single bug the whole way through. It definitely shows the talent and expertise to make a seamless experience lies with the AC Odyssey team.

When we were younger we thought everyone was on our side. Then we grew a little and romanticized the time I saw flowers in your hair...

I can confirm this patch does nothing to fix the Cairn problem of not being able to validate after stacking the stones. I have two Cairns that remain incomplete even though I've completed them over a dozen times now.
