Fall Guys racked up 20 million players within the first 48 hours of its free-to-play release last week. The total covers all platforms the game is playable on, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC, mobile phones, and a new Nintendo Switch edition.
Team Mediatonic revealed the news on Twitter and invited even more players to check out the game this past weekend, meaning the player base has only grown since the announcement in question. The game has been massively expanded since its original launch on PS Plus, with lots of new events on offer.
We recently published our Fall Guys PS5 review, and found the updated title to still be a "blast" despite the increased focus on microtransactions. Crowns are no longer used to buy premium cosmetics; instead, you'll need to purchase Show-Bucks. "The free Fame Pass is still there, but it's supplemented with a premium tier, which is really the only way to earn Show-Bucks without simply buying them," we explained.
