Starting to think i want to play this more than Street Fighter 6. I don’t like the look of all that walking around in a town thing. Seems wasted space in something i want to just fight and get better skills match to match. Walking around a city and all that seems off to me, and i already know all the Trophies will center around doing that stuff.

Tekken 8, SF6, MK 1(2).

Even without a cost of living crisis, I'm only picking one fighting game to play in a calendar year. Let's hope Tekken 8 is 2024, but revealing characters at this frequency in May 2023 suggests it could be this year.

Poor planning to go up against SF6. MK was always likely around now too - given you are releasing a fighting game, you will obviously look closely at competitors and plan accordingly.

Tekken 8 so soon after SF6 and MK 1(2) is plain stupid.

Very fun to smash the controller with your face and have this dude bust out mad moves.

@Green-Bandit same here. Tekken now seems a serious fighter where as sf6 seems like a Dreamcast type city vision. Just match up people and be done!

@nocdaes This is the dumbest take ever. Tekken has gotten more popular than Street Fighter since Tekken 7. It's also 3D which plays very different from 2D fighting games. Tekken 8 will break sales records without a problem.

Either way, Hwoarang looks f ing sick. Hope they reveal my boy Fahk soon 🤞

So, after all the whacky changes and exaggeration for everyone else, Hworang's character design actually becomes less biker-pirate, and more of a normalised martial artist. 🤔

@XenonKnight Nothing official has been said yet. Tekken 7 ended up with over 50 characters including DLC, but I'd be surprised if Tekken 8 got there as well.

I think they'll have trimmed the launch roster too, but hard to say by how much. Personally I'd bet on it being... 25 characters or thereabouts.

@nomither6 I thought Eddy was the king of that, and Christie was the Queen. Hell, Steve Fox can be a very spammy and annoying character to fight against

@Blofse yeah it does kind of seem that way. Thinking I might just hold off for Tekken. Tho i am sure SF6 will have some fun to it. I just don’t want to do any of that walking around in a city and train a character stuff.

I only play Yoshimitsu... even if they massacred him a lot since Tekken 3.
