Naomi Osaka, the winner of four Grand Slam titles, is now a Fortnite character. Following in the Air Jordans of NBA star LeBron James, the Japanese tennis champion is the latest Icon to arrive in Epic Games’ impressive Battle Royale. A press release explains: “This represents the trend of more and more A-List talent connecting with their fans through metaverse-like digital experiences.”
You’ll get two outfits when the skin becomes available to purchase from 3rd March, 2022 – both of which have been designed by her sister, Mari. “I’ve been playing Fortnite for a long time – when I saw LeBron had joined the Icon Series, it made me want to join the Fortnite family, too,” Osaka said. “It’s really amazing to be able to connect with so many people around the world.”
There’s no word on how many V-Bucks you’ll need to pod out just yet, but you can check out a trailer above.

Interesting. I've still yet to ever play Fortnite, but good on her for being a part of it. I'm assuming she's a fan of the game, so great to be featured in it. And I imagine it's one more boost to her mental well being.
Naomi is such a great athlete and fantastic at hitting those fuzzy yellow balls.
