What kind of monetization does this have? I hope they just sell costumes or something like that. If it’s pay-to-win then I’m not going to bother checking this out.

Anyway, while I was a huge Turrican fan, I never played this. Could be interesting if there’s more to this than just the nostalgia.

I’m voting for that big summer showcase just because I want to see that happen 😄

I generally don’t want to get invested in live service games because I simply don’t have the time to make it worth it. Traditional single player games are so much easier to drop in and out of without feeling left behind.

I’m excited for this, not because of the current gen focus, but because Criterion is at the helm again.

I thought it was a decent show, but the format really needs something exciting to close on. Like a “one more thing”-moment.

I played this a little on Apple Arcade, but it didn’t hold my interest for long. Maybe the console version is better?

Looking forward to giving Planet Coaster a go. To me, this is better than last month since I already had Dirt 5.

Yeah, I would argue that the output of these studios doesn’t even come close to “dwarfing” the first party output of Sony’s studios. Quantity over quality, nothing more.

I’d like to see Golden Abyss remastered. Never played that one.

Apple Arcade is different from regular mobile offerings. They don’t allow ads, iap, or other free-to-play tactics.

I actually doubt Sony’s IP will be successful on mobile. It’s a different audience.
Even Nintendo has been struggling with games like Dr. Mario that would seem like a great fit for mobile, but ended up doing poorly.

Imagine how much good that kind of money could do in the world if it were spent on something sensible instead 🙄

Dirt 5 is good, but already in my library. The rest are meh. If you haven’t played Dirt 5, I can definitely recommend the download.

I enjoyed the first game a lot, but played it on PC. How well does a game like this work with a controller? It seems like something that’s easier to play with mouse and keyboard.

Sadly, the dialogue and tone of this game was such a major turnoff to me that I deleted the demo after just a couple of sessions.

There are an awful lot of unknowns on that list…

Is this the same Matt Casamassina who co-founded IGN? I always liked that guy so I’ll give this the benefit of the doubt for the time being. Seems like a weird idea, though.

I played these games more than any other on PS4, so I won’t be picking this up unless it’s a free upgrade or offers something significantly new.

This looks amazing, but I’d rather play NBA Jam.

I have to admit, I’m on the fence with this one. While I enjoyed Bastion, Transistor left me cold and I decided to skip Pyre as a result of that.
Maybe the PS5 reviews will convince me to give it a try when it launches.

I was disappointed that there was no mention of Beyond Good & Evil 2. The rest pretty much as expected.

I enjoyed the first game, so will definitely check out the sequel.

These games may be cheap, but are they actually worth spending time on? There are only so many hours in a day and I find it difficult to justify investing in these games when I could be playing AAA releases.
If there’s anything worth playing here, maybe an article could help highlight the best purchases?

I’m definitely in the “curious to know more”-camp on next-gen PSVR. Sounds awesome so far.

I was a huge fan of the old Flatout games back in the day, so I’m definitely looking forward to Wreckfest.

Yeah, when the app works, I actually think it’s pretty great that I can buy a game while being away from the console and even queue it for download.

This is also on Apple Arcade. I played it a little when it launched, but didn’t stick with it for long.

DualShock 4 is actually supported natively on iOS – and they’re adding DualSense support in iOS 14.5

I think something interesting could emerge if Sony decided to port some of their PSP or Vita back catalogue to Apple Arcade. The monetization tactics we all hate are not allowed on Arcade... but if the incentive is to go after the billions made by free-to-play games, I guess that’s just wishful thinking on my part.

I must admit I really hated the controls in the original games so these improvements are very good news to me. I may actually have to give the series another go.

Nothing for me this month, but I haven’t completed FF7 Remake yet so it’s fine.

I hope we learn what has actually transpired here. This is such an odd scenario that you’d think April Fool’s were at play.

The PS App really sucks. Most of the time, I’m just looking at a black screen and if I drag down to refresh, the whole thing crashes 😭

If the Indiana Jones game turns out great, then that’s probably the one I’ll miss the most. I’ve never had much interest in Bethesda franchises, but I get why they’re a big deal.

I hope this turns out well. Looks like fun and could be something new to play with family besides Overcooked.

I wouldn’t actually mind a Codemasters developed version of Need for Speed. Could be an interesting comeback for the franchise.

Virtua Fighter 6? Not holding my breath, though.

I picked the obvious ones: God of War, Horizon, Ratchet & Clank. And I’ll buy all of them day one. But if a new Uncharted appears out of nowhere, then that’ll top my most anticipated list.

Do any games actually support the PS5 camera for anything besides broadcasting to social media? Seems like a bit of a waste to not use it for gameplay (or maybe I’m just too old to appreciate it).

It would be great if one of those announcements is something totally unexpected... like a next-gen Ridge Racer 😄

No matter what’s going on here, I just hope a new Uncharted is coming to PS5. I’d even take a remaster of Golden Abyss since it’s the only game in the series I never played.
