This game won employee of the year at my work. I asked my boss how that even makes sense and he told me it had absolutely nothing to do with the French government.
@nessisonett I get where you're coming from, but casting a black actor just to cover him in white body paint is a minefield I don't think anyone wants to step in.
This role was going to be whitewashed one way or another. At least this choice has some reasoning behind it.
Yes and no. The core concept is cool as hell, and it probably could have worked out with a more fleshed out campaign. But the hell Bioware put it's staff through just to release a live service grind makes it really hard to defend.
I'm playing Wuthering Waves, I said I'd give it another go once Cartethyia got a rerun. I tried keeping my distance from this one because the last thing I need is another gacha addiction. But I also didn't expect them to add an 8 foot tall sword mommy to the game when I wasn't looking.
According to this game: being indie means coming from a wealthy family, leaving a high ranking position at one of the biggest publishers in the world to make a game funded by the French government and largely put together by an outsourced team that got no credit.
@Balaam_ I agree. But if the comments on that Cyberpunk article prove anything, it's that a game's quality doesn't matter as much as the narrative around it.
I think it's morally reprehensible. The fact that CDPR ground their employees to dust just to sell a half baked game and rich rich doing it invalidates any good will I ever had for them. I won't be playing this game, and I won't be playing anything else they make, because unlike them, I have principles.
I think the overall selection is pretty good and I'm looking forward to most of them. But this is a PushSquare article in 2025, so I'm required to say that this is the worst month ever for PS Plus since last month, and will continue to be the worst month ever until next month.

Re: 6 PS5 Games That Cut Through the Noise at Taipei Game Show
Still holding out hope for a Kyouran Makaism localization. That game looks right up my alley.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for February 2026 Announced
Really excited for Subnautica, and Ultros is a great get if you haven't played it. The other two I can't really comment on though.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Highguard?
I'm not really interested in this game, I just wanted to say that the hate for this game feels incredibly forced.
Re: Random: Someone Made Their Very Own Portable PS4 Handheld Console
The analog sticks are asymmetrical. You had one job!
Re: PS5 Fans Just Can't Wait to Play Xbox's New Fable Game
People are way too complacent in giving their money to an evil warmongering corporation that bends the knee to multiple facist regimes.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 617
Still in London, still no gaming.
I went to Paris the other day, and it was awesome

Saudi must be tightening the leash.
Re: Rumoured Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas Remasters Not Expected to Be Out Any Time Soon
I mean, the point of a shadow drop is that you don't see it coming.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 616
No gaming for me because I'm actually on vacation in London. That's why I was able to comment early this time.

Re: Talking Point: Did ANTHEM Deserve the Hate?

I'll stop calling it slop when he stops colluding with the Israeli military.
Re: Talking Point: What Are Your PS5 New Year's Resolutions?
My resolution is a full boycott of Xbox. Because I refuse to be complicate with a company that's aiding and abetting a genocide.
Free Palestine.
Re: Game of the Year: Push Square Readers' 20 Most Anticipated PS5 Games of 2026
I think Wolverine taking the top spot might be an indicator of how confident (or not) people are that GTA6 is coming this year.
Re: Game of the Year: Top 10 PS5 Soundtracks of 2025
If Sword of the Sea wasn't on this list, I would have started a riot.
Should have been number 1 though. Clair Obsure's music was honestly kinda mid.
Re: Episodic Sensation Dispatch Will Be Eligible for The Game Awards 2026
They only judged this rule so GTA6 can win GOTY in 2027.
(Assuming it releases in 2026)
Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5 Indie Game of 2025
Absolutely disgusting leaving Sword of the Sea off the list. You should be ashamed.
Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5 Remake or Remaster of 2025
I actually didn't play any remakes that came out this year. I'm sure they're all good, rebut remakes just weren't on my radar.
Re: Game of the Year: #10 - Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
Best kart racer of the year. I can't think of anything else that comes close.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 612

Re: Zenless Zone Zero's Milestone Update Is One of the Most Generous in Gacha Gaming History
GENSHIN WOULD NEVER!!!
Re: Talking Point: With Expedition 33 Winning Best Indie Game, What Does 'Indie' Mean to You?
According to this game: being indie means coming from a wealthy family, leaving a high ranking position at one of the biggest publishers in the world to make a game funded by the French government and largely put together by an outsourced team that got no credit.
But it's turn based. So indie I guess.
Re: PS Studios and Many More Wish You Happy Holidays with These Jolly Festive Cards
The one with the Tallneck is magnificent.
Re: Poll: What Are Your Most Anticipated PS5 Games of 2026?
Polls like this remind me how liberating it is to not care about GTA6.

You know what, someone has to say it; we got Phantom Blade Zero before GTA6.
Re: Oh My Car! Street Fighter's Live Action Movie Looks Insufferable in All the Right Ways
Andrew Shulz is a piece of sh*t.
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Game Awards 2025?

Re: LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Reveals Release Date, Playable Sidekicks in Latest Trailer
Day one buy just for the Batman and Robin appreciation
Re: Xbox Game South of Midnight Comes to PS5 Next Year
I played this on my steam deck. Great story and presentation, brought down by mediocre gameplay.
In other words, a typical Compulsion game.

@Balaam_ I agree. But if the comments on that Cyberpunk article prove anything, it's that a game's quality doesn't matter as much as the narrative around it.
Re: 9 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for December 2025 Announced
AC Mirage and Wo Long are prime 'wait til PS Plus' games. Now I just have to find time to play them.
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate Cyberpunk 2077, 5 Years Later?
I think it's morally reprehensible. The fact that CDPR ground their employees to dust just to sell a half baked game and rich rich doing it invalidates any good will I ever had for them. I won't be playing this game, and I won't be playing anything else they make, because unlike them, I have principles.
Re: PlayStation Wrap-Up 2025 Live Now, Get Your Gaming Stats for the Year
With how much time I spent playing gacha games this year, it feels less like a wrap up and more like a call out.
Re: PlayStation Confirmed for the Game Awards with a New Look at PS5 Exclusive Saros
@wildcat_kickz how is one gameplay trailer too much. We've barely seen anything from this game.
Re: Not Even Hideo Kojima Is Sure if Xbox Game OD Will Be Any Good
I wonder how much Kojima's attitude towards his games would change if he had to pay for them himself.

I'll buy you a second and third custard cream if something Bloodborne related is announced.

Called that before the last State of Play.
And since I'm making predictions, it'll also get announced for Xbox. Remember where you heard it first.

Don't worry guys. Once you get bought by Microsoft you'll be fine.
For about a year before they shut you down.
Re: Ghost of Yotei Gets 'Incredible' PS5 Pro Frame Rate Boost Thanks to New Patch
This game just keeps on winning.
