Capcom finally blew the minds of Dragon's Dogma fans last week, when it revealed Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen — a full-blooded expansion for the 2024 action RPG.
But outside of tiny details that people have been able to pick out of the reveal trailer, we don't have a whole lot to go on. Plus, players have been praying for a DLC like this for over two years now — and so the hunger for fresh information is out of control.
Fortunately, Capcom has given us an idea of when to expect a Dark Arisen blowout.

The expansion will actually be playable at Gamescom in August, which runs from the 26th August to the 30th.
This means that previews from the press will be rampant, and you can bet on hardcore fans scraping as many details as humanly possible from the demo.
My guess is that the developer will be releasing official information around this time as well. You can probably expect a new trailer and a press release that covers a lot of the new stuff.
This is in addition to official livestreams from Gamescom itself. Deep dives will be broadcast on both YouTube and Twitch.
It's also worth mentioning that a major update for the base Dragon's Dogma 2 experience is dropping in late August. It's promising to improve all kinds of gameplay-related mechanics, which I think is very exciting in its own right.
Meanwhile, Dark Arisen is set to launch on the 9th October.
