thanks for keeping up with the story. I want to play this again, did enjoy it at launch on my XSX, but not prepared to give Bethesda a penny until it runs properly.

still not played any of them!! gaming since the 80s but PS5 my first PS, so I now have them, and cant wait to play them soon!

this was my first platinum also, loved it. Astrobot was my second platinum...

but a couple of the trophies in playroom were ridiculously obscure and impossible without a guide - certainly not 'pretty straightforward'

All digital for me. Just much more convenient for me, and if there is a handheld PS6, I doubt you'll be able to play any of your games on it, unless you own them digitally...

Happy to see that Nintendo are now making digital games much cheaper than physical at retail, as it should be.

It looks amazing, but the recent Star Wars game was just such a chore to play, hopefully this is as good as it looks

How is the dialogue etc? Does it feel and sound like teenagers in the 1990s (Gen X, my people!!), or modern kids transported back?

I really enjoyed it on XSX back when it came out... Didn't crash more than a few times in >100 hours. Plus, I didn't play it like a Bethesda game, so wasn't exposed to the radiant / RNG rubbish as I kept to main quest, factions and side quests. I did enjoy it, despite all the flaws. Despite gaming for 40 years, I've only been playing open world and RPG games for 4 or 5 games. Since playing Starfield I've played Mass Effect, RDR2, Cyberpunk, Witcher 3, and can now appreciate than relatively speaking, this game is pretty plain.

Wearing the Witcher influences proudly, but even more than I expected. Soundtrack sounds like the same chap, which is not a complaint, menus, combat, landscape, all very Witcher-y. Again, not a complaint.

Only slight worry, Witcher 3 was for me so great because of how memorable Geralt was, not just his story, but his character, the humour, just everything about him and the supporting cast. I hope this delivers in this way, as my only complaint from the gameplay and the trailers is, he seems a bit boring..

Edit - to say that as long as the character is interesting, this is my No. 1 most anticipated game of 2026

recently played cyberpunk for the first time, and currently on horizon zero dawn. Starfield does seem pretty poor in comparison in so many ways...

knowing Sega most of this will be t shirts and pointless merch.

as a childhood sega fanboy, who owned all their console and adored their arcade games, I've been let down too many times over the decades.

ended up buying a stream deck recently and now happily emulate every console and arcade game I want to play from them, as there is zero chance there will ever be a legal way to play most of these games on my PS5. sad

I'm an outlier. I wouldn't do subscriptions for games if they were free, as I like having (owning) a library of my favourite games that I can play, no matter what - no removing / rotating from the service.

same way I still buy albums and movies.

it's either just my (advanced) age, or my brain, haha.

but on topic, as somebody who bought all the consoles, I never thought day 1 game pass games was smart or sustainable. Sony seems to have the better model - though I'm not a fan of either product.

@Oram77 bond has always been a sucker for trend-following. Golden gun was blaxploitation, Moonraker was moved up following Star Wars, licensed to kill gritty 80s action, Craig films were love letters to the Jason Bourne movies, etc.

how pointless. who hasn't played this by now? just designed to milk more $$ out of physical collectors, who probably own PS4 or digital versions.

GTA 4 and RDR2 update please! GTA4 especially, as it's the only one I don't have access to!

currently playing this for the first time on base PS5, and about 5h into the DLC. it's amazing, but even on base PS5 performance mode, looks insane to me!

fair review. comes down to what you want. it isn't a typical Bethesda game. but if you approach it with an open mind, and focus on main quest (which I really enjoyed btw), factions and side quests in the main hubs, there is a LOAD of content, and it's very good.

but if all you want to do is ignore the quests and explore, then it's not the game for you. doesn't make it bad. Just not for you.

I get really angry about the discourse on this game. it's not perfect but I sunk hundreds of hours into it and I loved it. And I'm somebody who has been gaming for 40 years. It's a GOOD game, not perfect but nothing is. It's a good game. The new content looks like it could elevate it to a GREAT game. Just give it a chance. So much blind prejudice against this game it's insane.

it has a great Metacritic score. don't listen to reddit.

I sunk 300h on XSX and will buy on PS5 for the new content. No game gets as much sheep like, unwarranted hate as this game.

how about trying to have an opinion of your own, and if it looks interesting, try playing it?

@evan23 agreed. I must have hit over 300h on XSX. great to see the game get this support, with more to come. it has so much potential, and I actually have confidence it'll keep getting better. really looking forward to starting agin on PS5

@frankmcma yeah - Barrett died in my first play through and this locked me out of one of the powers... so I'll probably play through it all again. I hope people give this game a change, I genuinely loved my time with it

loved it on XSX. Terran armada looks great, lots more bounties is great. will wait for a sale as already bought it once, but looking forward to replaying it, and the new content.

loved this game, spent couple of hundred hours. 83 on metacritic. so many sheep hating on this game. it's decent, not a 9/0 but it's a really enjoyable game.

Wish they would add a lamborghini series!
