I'd be tempted if it cost the UK equivalent of $299, but it's £299. Not worth it for me, I'd not use it enough

this had my attention, and will grab for switch as that's where I play my Indies! gutted that cloverpit seems to be an xbox console exclusive though

Surely this is a response to the next Xbox being able to play steam games, and therefore Sony games? If Sony launch their own PC launcher, and make that the only way to play PS games on PC (no longer releasing on steam) then the next Xbox 'console' players will no longer be able to access PS games via PC stores?

if xbox make a console, and it has free multiplayer, that's one thing., and I'd expect PS to follow suit... but from all I read, Xbox is releasing a super expensive PC in disguise, so no different to any other PC... that isn't comparing apples with apples.

I'd assume / hope they charge a similar price to Gears reloaded, would make buying all 3 games more palatable. Plus, this is MS, it'll be on deep discount pretty soon

As above, it's frustrating this wasn't a trilogy release, BUT I loved the original bungie trilogy on my xbox, so will eat this up...

Be a shame if they don't do the same to Gears 2 & 3 to round out the Marcus Fenix trilogy also.

No interest in the newer, post bungie Halo / post Epic Gears though.

Nope. Unless they do something unexpected and immediately release bangers that are PS6 exclusive, I'll stick with my PS5 for a while longer.

@zhoont boomers are 60 to 80 years old, I doubt many of them play video games

@HonestHick it's funny, I have the opposite experience, with my XSX controller hurting the tendons in my wrists, but PS5 so far no similar issues. A shame there aren't more size and design options for both controllers, instead of just different colour options!

There aren't many things that I think xbox does much much better than PS, but limited edition controller designs is something I think they do much better. The PS designs are just so bland to me...

I've been wanting this for so long now!! Grew up on Sega arcades and owned all 4 consoles as a kid.

Whilst there are licensing issues with a lot of these titles, there is no reason that a collection couldn't include

• all the titles emulated in the Yakuza games
• all the titles that received SEGA AGES ports to the Switch
• all the titles on the Astro City mini

But it'll never happen. This is Sega.

As a Sega nut growing up, it saddens me a little that Sega have discarded so many of their earlier characters. I know they never reached Mario or Sonic levels of fame, but the Boy from Wonderboy starred in 3 incredible Master System games.
Is Alex Kidd here? Golden Axe characters? The Space Harrier dude?

I don't expect them all to be in it, but a shame Sega ignores their own history in favour of random, totally un-related franchises.

Sonic All Star racing was a cracking game, and whilst lacking a bunch of retro characters, at least had tracks based on Afterburner, Panzer Dragoon, etc. Though I guess that was ALL STARS and this new game is just Sonic. Shame, wish they had leaned more into their history (a la Astro Bot) and made a love letter to Sega.

Got my digital PS5 this time last year from Amazon for £338 (with a bigger hard drive than the new models), so pretty happy with that!

no idea... I had a Saturn, was a proper Sega boy until they stopped playing. And then went N64. Started with Spectrum 48k+

Had a PS2, purely because of Gran Turismo blowing my socks off, but then nothing Sony til my PS5.

Still absolutely love my PS5, and with my fairly new OLED TV, more than happy with my lot. As long as PS6 games are still released on PS6, don't think I'll be in a rush to upgrade.

@TheFakulty I can empathise... I have around 30 unplayed games now on my PS5 (and 1 or 2 on the Switch), and just adding to a growing Wishlist now, but not buying anything til I play what I own! So tempting buying games that look great, but I won't play them for a couple of years, by which time they are patched, fully working and often heavily discounted

started watching the gameplay. when bond turned off the water for the sprinklers, and the dude spent like 3 minutes examining the tap, and not moving or looking away. it's less realistic stealth than untitled goose game, from which it steals this idea. looks lame tbh.

@Ricky-Spanish be interesting how they handle back compatibility if it is a PC in a box... do they draw a line under xbox console games, and if it isn't 'play anywhere' you're stuffed? That would be suicide if they want existing xbox console owners on board... but they can't have the PC and the xbox console infrastructure in the same box, can they?

@naruball Amazing. I prefer the controller, and the console UI, and setting up group chats, screen sharing, etc, so simple. And have already played through and loved R&C rift apart, god of war, FFVII, astro bot, sackboy... it's been awesome.

Now FH5 and gears are on PS, I just need Halo and I can put the XSX back in the box. I don't tend to replay games, apart from a handful of all-timers, but was v happy when realised I could copy over my Witcher 3 save from XSX to PS5, so I can do my first NG+ play through on the PS...

Plus, most of my friends are now on PS, we used to all be on X360 so I was the last to move across!

@Godot25 I moved from XSX, and a big digital library, to PS5. We do exist.

@naruball I moved from XSX to PS5, for Helldivers 2 specifically, and a bunch of PS exclusives. I had 100 digital XBX games. Some people go where the games are still...

PS5 my first PS console. Been gaming since the 80s.

Forget the huge Helldivers update today, push square reporting the news that matters... ffs

I would kill for banjo on PS5... I have such love for that game, and played it a few years back on xbox, it really still held up

Played the first 30 mins last night. Looks fantastic on my OLED tv, plays super smooth, and was having lots of FUN, which nobody seems to care about now, just how much it costs , how long the campaign takes, or nit-picking graphics. I give up on gamers today.
