If you’ve never played Fumito Ueda’s iconic Shadow of the Colossus, you really have no excuse now: Bluepoint’s brilliant PS4 remake of the PS2 all-timer currently costs less than a frothy coffee.

The game’s 75% off in the US, making it just $4.99; in the UK it’s an even-better 88% off, meaning you can expect to pay just £3.59. No PS Plus membership is required to unlock these deals.

Both prices are all-time lows for the game, which has been out since 2018.

It is included in the PS Plus Extra catalogue so you can play it at no extra cost through that, but obviously if you’re not a subscriber this is an amazing deal.

I was the one tasked with reviewing Shadow of the Colossus when it was re-released, and of course I went with the highest possible marks.

“One of the greatest games ever made resurrected in one of the greatest remakes of all time,” I wrote in my 10/10 verdict.

“Shadow of the Colossus remains faithful to the 2006 original, but its presentation is on par with the very best that the PS4 has to offer. A masterpiece.”

I know some people didn’t like some of the artistic alterations Bluepoint made in this version, but for less than the price of a Starbucks coffee, you really do owe it to yourself to pick this up.
