Regular readers will know I’m pretty Alice in Wonderland obsessed, so I’ve been keeping a keen eye on CRYMELIGHT.

This is the latest bishoujo effort from dev FuRyu, and I actually went hands-on with it at Gamescom. I was impressed how dense and interesting it all was.

But now you can get a taste for it yourself on the PS5, as a free demo has been deployed.

This covers the entirety of Chapter 1, and promises to let you experience “the story, combat, and systems in full”.

Sadly, there’s no save transfer to the full game, so you will have to replay the opening act should you decide to purchase it.

The complete campaign’s due out on 4th November and is fairly cheap at $19.99/£15.99, with a PS Plus discount available at launch.

Obviously, it is the Alice in Wonderland theme that’s pulling me in, but I do quite like the poker-based perks system as well.

I’ve been playing a lot of roguelites lately and I’m quite busy with other projects, but given the concept, I’m sure I’ll end up getting around to CRYMELIGHT eventually.
