@Neither_scene Sony has the most profitable console business, even more so than Nitendo with their 50 million plus sellers of first party exclusive games that Sony and Microsoft could only hope to achieve. I doubt Sony will give up their exclusives too soon, as they are the sole reason to own a PS5 compared to other consoles

Hopes of actual tomb raiding and puzzle solving being the main focus of the game again are slim then....

It is a sad day fir gaming indeed. There will be much less creativity and much more focus on bankable sequels and new games. Gone are the days of Little Big Pmanets, Shadow of the Colossus, Journey etc that we loved alongside our God of War, The Last of Us, Horizon etc. I loved the balance you got with Sony. This is a real shame.

They really squeezed all the awesome out of the PS4 version to make it stand pretty much neck and neck with the PS5 version. I am not quite sure what that says about the PS5 though....

It will flop, just like the Marvel live service game. Paying full price for a game, only for it not to be a full game. No thank you.

If they put Gamepass on Sony and Nintendo consoles, as well as day 1 on PC, what would be the point in owning an X-Box. Their exclusives at the moment are not console sellers and not boundary pushing the art form. Their games feel like multi platform games rather than the higher quality normally associated with 1st party games.

When a company releases a game such as TLoU2, that was so subversivd and pushed tbe boundaries of video game story telling to the point that the ending shows how games, with their interactivity, will surpass movies in emotionalliy impactful story telling (mo movie has ever made me hate myself as much as my on screen actions did), then they deserve all the success they get. PS4 had GoW, Bloodborne, Horizon, The Last Guardian... all of which were boundary pushing. Past games suchnas Ico and Shadow of the Colossus as well as Tokyo Jungle. I do feel though that Sony are playing far too safe this gen, and it makes me feel sad we may not be seeing games like Shadow of the Colossus, TLG, Unfinished Swan etc from them again. I loved Sony because of the more daring projects, alongside the crowd pleasing games.

This game squeezed all the graphical awesomeness out of the PS4 and still looks better than most PS5 games to date. Unless the remaster squeezes all the awesome out of the PS5, I do not see the point in upgrading.

I miss Japan studio.

I love Japan. It is by far the most incredible place I have visited.

However, it is insane a game with full frontal male nudity has to be censored, but a gane called Rapelay in which you stalk and sexually wonen is okay.

Some games are too big. 40hrs of content is more than enough for a game like this or it would overstay its welcome.

The 4th game is the best do it is a shame it is mot included. As long as the controls are also improved this would be a day 1 purchase for me.

A well designed Zelda style adventure with puzzles and exploration would be a no brainer for a LotR game.

The PS3 game started of slow but was fantastic by the end.

I want turn based battles. I could do with some old school Final Fantasy gameplay with modern graphics for a change.

I feel sad at this loss. I always loved Sony because alongside their big guns and generic games, they had studios making more unique and imaginative titles such as Concrete Genie, Shadow of the Colossus, Journey, Gravity Rush, Pupeteer etc. It just feels that those days are coming to an end.

Great for Sony. Insane Mario Kart 8 is still hovering near the top after this many years.

I can't remember the last rime I played an EA game. I really could not care if they were scooped up by a console manufacturer.

It needed a new writer. The 2017 trailer was a horrid mess full of unnecessary swearing, clearly trying to appeal to the X-Box 360 generation from when it was first announced. They just needed to build and improve on the original template.

Here is hoping this game can materialise. Things do not seem good with Ubisoft at all at the moment.

It looks stunning. I need to more about the gameplay first though.

The graphics were besutiful; however, I am worried the combat will be as bland, easy and nutton mashy as XV was.

I wished the would give yhe option to have turn based party combat too.

How many anti-consumer practices are Sony going to have to backtrack on? There are the new Microsoft of last gen.

My dream is for Tomb Raider to be taken back to its roots. A game of puzzle solving and actual Tomb Raiding. This could be very exciting.

I wished there was the option to have full on turn-based battles (not the basic option in FFVIIR) like the retro games or real time. Thst would bring in the fans. Also I hope they go back to full on with the dark fantasy, rather than the mess of the past two single player mainline games. The trailer made me very excited.

I do, and it was the easiest From Software Platinum to date by far.

I would love it to play almost exactly like the original, even with static backgrounds, but with the resolution of today's games. Those static backgrounds could be stunning, and we could have the ability to play fully turn based if we wanted.

Is it just me or are all Squeenix games starting to look like the exact same games but with different graphics?

X-Box is very popular in the UK as well, so this proves one of two things: X-Box is really a shooter console, or that people own and X-Box for Gamepass only.

I am quite disappointed by Sony's attitude this gen. The charging for PS4 to PS5 upgrades after stating ot would not be the case, no Gamepass alternative, increase in game prices. And also not keeping their customers in the loop with updates on promised features. Thank god for their exclusive games or I would be seriously considering jumping ship.

It is a phenomenal game with great gameplay and a great story. The amazing graphics are the icing on the cake as it is a rare game that has all of that. It deserves those very high sales. It is a shame it came out the same time as Breath of the Wild as I am sure it would have won numerous game of the year awards otherwise.

In all fairness it looked a bit *****. They made it all immature and sweary to appeal the X-Box 360 generation.

I could never get into Halo. I just found it boring and repetitive. All gung ho actually, like most of Microsoft's 1st Party output 360 onwards

Well as long as the gameplay is good. Nioh was amazing. Team Ninja have never been good at creating a story. Remember what they did to Samus in Metroid: Other M. The story was embarrassing but the Metroid gameplay was still very good.

I am expecting the same with this. Apart from FFXIV there has been no half decent story in a FF game since FFXII on PS2. The franchise has been completely bastardised.

This game looks astonishing from a graphics, gameplay and story point. Who cares if MS own CoD and other generic BS. These are the one of a kind games you would only find from the best artists in the industry

Thank god. This game had so much potential but there were too many things wrong with it that took some of the fun out. I hope they bring back the funny game speak.

If you want a game as a service, you don't charge fill price for the base game. When I pay £60 for a game, I want a full game.
