Re: Starfield PS5 Sales Estimates Leave Much to Be Desired

CallMeDuraSouka

I genuinely hope there is some truth to these figures.

Bethesda was given an extra year by MS and still released a half baked game...
They had 2 extra years to fine tune it, and what 7-8 months to simply port it to PS...
They STILL released a game that breaks for many owners..., I've read the POI repeating issue is still a thing as well

Look at CD with their own in house engine- cooking updates

Bethesda with their own in house engine- constantly broken, and glacially slow updates

Re: Starfield's 'Unplayable' PS5 Crashing Issues Prompt Sony to Refund Players

I briefly considered getting this last night for the Pro, Cyberpunk 2077 keeps crashing on me .....haha

But as I was redditing the sub to see if others were having issues, I glanced over to check on Starfield and lo and behold.... it was crashing

Ive had issues with Jedi Survivor crashing a lot as well

I've also had latency issues with my Portal

Not sure if the updated PSSR is causing fits, or the recent updates but having a lot of New issues

Re: Huge Crimson Desert Updates Teased as Dev Plans Boss Fight Replays and Difficulty Settings

@lazarus11 I'm coming here to read about the updates, and ya know, read the comments.

It's a fascinating and interesting capture of social media and attachment.

I've seen these threads quite literally everywhere that mirror this intense defense of a game that clearly has imperfections, and fans that are aghast at any negative criticism.

As I just said, the game looks fun. Especially for an OCD action adventure explorer, but I am drowning in backlog I really want to play.

So.... I'm keeping tabs on it for whenever I've got the time

Starfield community was a lot like this at launch as well. Unless your invested stock wise in the company, it's a bit odd

@themightyant I can't recall seeing anything like this fervent unabashed ferocity around the defense of this game , especially at scale.

It's fascinating...

Game sounds like a fun but jumbled wonky mess. I think 12 months is a safe bet for waiting it out on the patches side, especially with how heavy handed they are going with patches- some serious changes and really quickly

Re: Hands On: Cyberpunk 2077 Is Now Utterly Essential on PS5 Pro

CallMeDuraSouka

So I bit on the Pro, only had a pretty nice 1440 IPS moniter before.

I figured I'd go all in and grabbed a 32 ASUS Swift woled the same day this patch released( pure coincidence)

Holy geez..... so that's what you'll have been talking about with the Pro and an oled

*Very very tempted to go big screen on the oled, but i really don't like gaming on huge screens- just too much eye real-estate, very gorgeous I'm sure though

Re: Feature: PS5 Price - Why Does It Cost So Much in 2026?

CallMeDuraSouka

@Member_the_game I'm in the same boat, not to mention a 3 years long backlog of games genuinely want to play.

Just bought a Pro, have a kid that gets a 10% discount+ credit card cash back, I got it at a decent price

If god forbid the inflation never backs down, it should hold decent resale value

Re: Sony Goes Silent on Social Media as Fans Turn Feral Following Bluepoint Closure

@Sakai Its what my PS5 is, just a 3rd party machine.
I'll get to Ghost of Y eventually, but Sony hasn't released a 1st party game I've drooled over for a while.
Nearly as dumb as MS has been this gen, but at least we know they'll stay in the business of consoles.
No idea what MS is doing anymore, and pending the new Zelda, Nindy is kind of coasting as well

Gaming is in a bizarre place
