Absolutely brilliant game! The Arthurian lore is such a refreshing change, it's also done very well.
Side note, I got this on SteamDeck because it ran like ass on PS5, but this was back in June, hopefully this patch really helps performance

Getting " make it in my vision" vibes and those types of movies are always abominable

Obviously this is just a gaming nerd hang out spot, and not a therapy / counseling session, but I'm going to throw out some unwanted recommendations;

It would be worth writing out the reasons why you feel you can't take enjoyment from playing a game without doing all of it to completion.
I would like you to also write an argument to why/ how this might impact continued enjoyment when you set conditions for enjoyment you can't control.

I sunk 300 hours into my 1st run on Xbox, despite all the jank. The ambiance is on another level.

Honestly think they were counting on nostalgia to pick up some of the slack, Blades of Fire wasn't that popular was it?
I went Tainted Grail: Fall off Avalon and I'm thrilled with it, I'll simply never have time to play this

I loved the 1st Island and had a blast @ 40 or so hours.
Once that second map opened up, I realized I've had my fill and stopped.
It was great, just a bit too much bloat

I wanted so bad to buy if for PS5, and waited patiently for the patches, but it sounds like it's going to be a long wait.

Bought it on Steamdeck, not a single crash, a few stutters here and there and it definitely doesn't keep 30 sadly.

Very fun though, if you've got a deck or PC handheld

If this is half as good as Tank Girl that piece of cinematic history, we are in for a treat!

Nintendo... well seeing as how their stuff holds value like nothing else, it's kind of a mute comparison

After Avowed was just prettier pixels of Outerworld, I fully expect this to be prettier pixels of Avowed- The same boring empty world hubs built on a Gamepass assembly line

Ha ha, the 1s and 2s are absurd.
Rated it a 6 though, I really didn't enjoy the shield and parry mechanic. It just felt so out of place, the set pieces were not my cup of tea either🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure if it was check box burnout, but I simply had no desire to start the 2nd map in GoT.
