I grabbed it on Steam Deck, a month ago and I've had a blast with it. Its story is a tad thin, but its gorgeous and if you enjoy harder games I would recommend highly!

Cheery as ever I see, that is a worry though. Part of the reason I'm waiting for a deeper sale, a little burned out on developers doing the same thing with different window dressings.

Sometimes I truly feel like the odd(old)man out, I bought my Series X solely with the intention of buying all my games. I think I subbed both PS and Gamepass for a few months, downloaded 1gb of games and except for Forza and Halo I didn't play hardly anything. Having that Netflix buffet of games didn't make me want to play them anymore then if I had bought them, in fact it made them easy to skip because meh not like I own then anyways.

I adore those passionate enough to make us games for a living.
Having said that, I have Zero faith in current Bioware

So that's odd, because I brought mine all over Europe, across the pond from the middle of the US. Easily as the kids switch and ipad air tablets...pretty portable

I put embarrassing amounts of hours into COD and BF, no lifed Bethesda rpgs.

Never had a controller break at all, it really is a fascinating issue and can't help but wonder what exactly happens 🤔

@Bunchesopuppies It never ceases to amaze me when I read posts like this. I've had every PS console and almost all day one, and have had some insane, insane hours put in and never had drift issues.

Kids play Animal Crossing, pokemon again a lot of hours, and no drift

Is it really just blind luck?

I honestly wish I could justify buying this, the Steam Deck has been an absolute blast.

AAA gaming on a handheld, like 2077, is just such a relaxing way to play.

@Cashews So this might be an extreme reach, but I can't help but wonder if Sony is trying to further saturate the console market before ActBliz deal is finalized. If you eat up the market share, they can possibly offset for this and the next generation by establishing Sony ecosystems

I grabbed it during the Steam sale for the Steam Deck, and it's okay. It's " Deck Verified"which I think is a stretch.

I think it's worth 30, full price worthy it is not.

As someone that's hardly burnt out on Halo, Infinite was..... . ...... bland.
Wasn't bad, just really average and u was really excited to play it.

Exactly what I was thinking, a hard hitting grounded Battlefield, man BF1 was my end of COD, man I loved BF1. Those days are over though I think

That was Infinite, such a shame that game got dragged through the mud.

It's is one of the best COD campaigns by far, and it takes place in space. It's a really good FPS campaigns even if you hate COD

I'll admit I'm getting old, darn it really old actually.... But I still still vividly remember All the timed content of the 360 Era where it seemed like because Xbox was crushing PS3 we got either inferior versions or had to wait months or years because publishers saw a 3rd place console( well that and the stupid cell) so we were always getting the short end of the stick. This never really seems to get brought up, but Sony didn't just start buying the big guns, they spent years reestablishing their brand. I think MS started the right way but were not patient enough and said screw it we will buy our way to the top

I'm actually with with this as well, I really enjoy the Xbox ecosystem, but my golly there is nothing worth playing on it right know.
I understand it's crappy to bail on the PS only owners, but we are kind of spoiled with great games

They do have some really Talented wordsmiths, but their actual reviews on games can be a little obtuse at times. It should be interesting to see their reviews down the road with actual numbers attached

Id give it a solid 7, played about 4 hours and have not been back in a week. Had 3 crashes doing nothing more exciting than walking around

Baghdad sounds pretty cool to explore. Would actually love a "20 hr" Assasins Creed, so so so so burned out on 100 hour worlds

Take my opinion lightly, as I may have just been to burned out from work to enjoy anything but I loved RE 7, and REALLY didn't enjoy Village. I think I played until the castle and just wasn't finding it fun.

I simply have no faith left in most people to not lie for their own self preservation, or to encourage the ire of social media masses for the purposes of seeking attention for perceived ills.

I know it won't happen, as I'm sure it didn't do well, but I would love a sequel to 40K Hired Gun- Had a really great time with it. I've had Cultic sitting in my Steam Cart for a while now- Boomer shooters are fun for an hour or two, but I grew up during Dooms heyday, I've had my fill

Taxes in the US make it a little odd, because we don't add VAT into it listed price.

Where I live is not $69 it's $77 so pretty close across the board. Bigger cities think some are paying almost $80. It's maddening keeping track of all this

I really don't understand Publishers and their desire to keep impacting full price purchases.
I really want Redfall, and this(a shiny NEW game), and Dead Island 2, but I'll wait for patches first. After 2-3 months of patches the game will be complete, will definitely be cheaper, and most people are going to buy cheaper and not full price if they can.

I'll never forget Days Gone director complaining about a lot of "not full price purchases"- well ya.....

Finally took it out of the box and in 27 hours it'll be downloaded. (Might be kidding, not sure......)!

That old THQ splash screen is probably my most cherished gaming memory.

That 1st time playing Red Faction was a true highlight, THQ left some aewsome gaming memories

They almost created something VERY special with this game, the city itself is very well realized and the RT patch does look "pretty " Good. They came close- after 10 patches-, will be interesresting to see what this looks like with mods 10 years from now

This exactly. Some of the articles Pushsquare put out were incredible. It's one of those games, my backlog didn't allow me to invest in but a PS+ inclusion and I would have at least kepto it installed and who knows maybe gotten hooked. Sony can make just bizarre choices....

This was talked about a lot when Stadia was making waves, but compared to our fiends across the pond most of America has crappy internet, really crappy. I live in a decent sized city, almost 60,000 people and I pay for the "elite tier" of internet and its 14mbps( also known as 11 on average). Most of the time PS clod, and Xbox cloud would not run well. That's probably several million gamers in the US have similar speeds. Our internet infrastructure is hilariously behind Europe and Asia

I'm not remotely knowledgeable regarding 40k universe stuff, but I thought Hired Gun was actually pretty good, the world was fun to be in. This might be a nice and fun romp, here's hoping.

That was kind of fun, I haven't done any game reviews whatsoever since GameSpot stopped being GameSpot about 6-7 years ago.
Also it was a huge mistake getting a SteamDeck, this just reminded me I'll never catch up.

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but we have never had such a gluttony of game selection. I really want Dead Island to be decent, but I'll still wait 3 months so Dam Busters can patch the living hell out of it, no way it releases in a great state

@nhSnork Well said, it's humanity at its barest form. You remove all the built in societal safety nets of real human integrity and these instances will always show up.
I don't think this is reflective of gamers, just a reminder that there are plenty of awful people and always will be.
