@PsBoxSwitchOwner I'm a DIEHARD FarCry fan, (FC 2 most beloved shooter ). I usually ...preorder(farcry only], and usually the Gold steel case versions. FC6 dropped by half after a couple weeks, so I'll wait
I debated whether I'd regret letting it lapse in 10 days, and this months games are for me the worst I can recall personally in a while, so I feel petty but vindicated
It's flat bonkers how much extra time they are spending to make things better meanwhile at Bethesda......... wish I had grabbed this and not Starfield 🫤
See, I watched a friend play several FF's for dozens of hours on Nintendo and Final Fantasy VII on PS1 was a natural step for me so u could keep up worth the story and so was VIII and 10 and 11, quite possibly 12 as well.
I only faked sick days from school so I could play 7 hours straight so as not to forget the plot
@wildcat_kickz Well said! Treyarch had been kind of bad since Blop2 and no one batted an eye. We can only hope MS makes major changes to the Activision culture.
@wildcat_kickz Everyone gives Sledgehammer so much grief, but they are absolutely Activisions fall guys. Advanced Warfare was a ton of fun and really refreshing from a gameplay standpoint. I feel pretty bad for the studio
@Ravix @Ravix Except Healthcare is not 24/7 emergency care, so that argument is not really accurate. A great deal of my " overtime/crunch" is administrative and and as with other fields the nuances and underlying bits and pieces are staggering.
I should of prefaced with I'm not an Island person, you folks Def have better built in oversights and safe guards.
I certainly wasnt making light of stuff like this, but setting the barn on fire for what is pretty normal in large demanding fields just irks me to no end 🤷♂️
@Deljo I'm in the same boat, I find it eye rolling. This is not some one off industry that is impacted like this. Most fields call it overtime, ( salaried or not) and I don't think I've seen near the feigned outrage in other places. Being a salaried medical professional leaves me with very little sympathy.
The timing of Plus increasing- before the holidays- when I'm sure a lot of people have expiring subs, and releasing no real big bangers on plus was such a bizarre business plan.
I'm done this month as well, and I'm not going to renew.
Will be curious to see what Holiday sale pricing will look like with the new increase
@Fiendish-Beaver Ah yes, I donate to gaming companies all the time as well. The shelf lined with unopened games mocks me as I click on the notification my Steam wishlist is on sale, and that I can grab my Xbox wishlist while I'm at it, oh did Nintendo put out a banger? Well why not🤑
@practicein2021 The Spiderman critique regarding where he lives was a little bit just weird. It's why I was curious, isn't he a always a broke guy that is by the way a genius? I agree GOW is a fun play, but why is a God destroying beast not simply 1 hitting all the grunt soldiers, makes no sense. As great as Nathan is, he is just Indiana Jones pixelated. Not giving you grief, just seemed like kind of odd complaints. I didn't finish the 1st one, just didn't grab me, was fun just not great
@Fiendish-Beaver I'm actually already dreading Black Friday/(Boxing Day? Or whatever the island people call it) because I still need basically every game from the 1st half of this year, 2nd half of last year and I'm not sure I'll be able to stop myself.... must stay away from Steam as well................ gaming is bonkers right now
@homelesscretin I can appreciate the passion and Fandom, but these comments are a little embarrassing as a Sony, PS lifelong fan. The guy was a pivotal for PS success over the last several decades, especially the last 5 years
I honestly can't wait to check and although it doesn't count, I bet I've got 600 or so hours on Skyrim between PC and PS5 and Starfield is going to shatter any record I've got. 20+ hours in and I've only hit 2 star systems at level 9........ if anyone can grab pc gamepass I highly recommend it, first 10 hours were a little bumpy though
@Cashews The Destiny hours are truly bonkers, I can't check yet, but I would wager I've got near 1000 hours between Destiny 1-2. Can sort of see why Bungie was worth "B, billions in value for 1 property", also just how addictive and fun their games are.
@Fiendish-Beaver I've got Starfield coming the 6th for the Xbox, based on what I've read so far in simply going to have to ignore everything else for 3 months I think. Not to mention I still want to play Hogwarts, Ragnarok, RE4 and I had a save on PS5 and Steamdeck for 2077 DLC, but I'll probably end up trying a new game. I still really want to finish Skyrim eventually too.......... I've got to set rules or I'll never play everything I want
@TBubs311 I grabbed it on Steam Deck, a month ago and I've had a blast with it. Its story is a tad thin, but its gorgeous and if you enjoy harder games I would recommend highly!
@Mega-Gazz Cheery as ever I see, that is a worry though. Part of the reason I'm waiting for a deeper sale, a little burned out on developers doing the same thing with different window dressings.
Sometimes I truly feel like the odd(old)man out, I bought my Series X solely with the intention of buying all my games. I think I subbed both PS and Gamepass for a few months, downloaded 1gb of games and except for Forza and Halo I didn't play hardly anything. Having that Netflix buffet of games didn't make me want to play them anymore then if I had bought them, in fact it made them easy to skip because meh not like I own then anyways.
@Smiffy01 So that's odd, because I brought mine all over Europe, across the pond from the middle of the US. Easily as the kids switch and ipad air tablets...pretty portable
@Bunchesopuppies It never ceases to amaze me when I read posts like this. I've had every PS console and almost all day one, and have had some insane, insane hours put in and never had drift issues.
Kids play Animal Crossing, pokemon again a lot of hours, and no drift
@deathaxe Zenimax is the parent company of Bethesda Studios, which is what Xbox payed 7 billion for, they are not under Activision/ Blizzard and the 60 gazillion dollars Xbox is paying for Call of Duty, and WoW/ Diablo
@Cashews So this might be an extreme reach, but I can't help but wonder if Sony is trying to further saturate the console market before ActBliz deal is finalized. If you eat up the market share, they can possibly offset for this and the next generation by establishing Sony ecosystems

Re: Poll: What's Your Most Anticipated PS5 Game of 2024?
I'm honestly not excited about any of it, maybe Starwars, maybe.
Honestly glad I've got an Xbox this Gen. Only worry there is their 1st party so far has been kind of bad, except for Horizen
Re: Round Up: Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Reviews Are Torn on Ubisoft's New Open World
@SuntannedDuck2 Is this your opening statement for your University Thesis, or are you auditioning for a job?

Re: Baldur's Gate 3 Update 5 Is Monstrous, Adds an Entire Epilogue, New Difficulty Settings, and Much More
@Jaz007 Ya I've seen endless comments that talked about D:OS 2 being in the same shape, so they aren't innocent.
But...
They are going full on make the game better at breakneck speed and Bethesda finally added an eat button.........

Re: Huge PS Store Black Friday Sale Live Now, 1,000+ PS5, PS4 Games on Offer

Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Is Going to Look Unreal on PS5
Honestly this doesn't look all that great, it looks like cgi cutscene from early ps4 day's. It looks like highly polished plastic

I have 0 faith Konami won't have this a complete mess on release
Re: Rumour: The Next Far Cry Game Is an Extraction-Based Multiplayer Shooter with Permadeath

Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra, Premium Price Increases Announced by Sony
It's actually even worse for those of us in the U.S. as those prices don't include the 10-12% tax on top.
So essential is closer to $90, and premium is $177 ish
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for September 2023 Announced
@Serialsid
I've played solo and still had a lot of fun with it, being swarmed is stressful, basically hunker down and hope they get bored and leave
Also the Swedish country side is pretty, shame it didn't release in this current state, think it would have done well

Re: PlayStation Portal Is Sony's PS5 Remote Play Handheld, Priced at $200 / £200
I honestly wish I could justify buying this, the Steam Deck has been an absolute blast.
AAA gaming on a handheld, like 2077, is just such a relaxing way to play.
