Re: Going Platinum #1: Rocket League

Lvl 304, 3334 trophies and not a single platinum

Still looking forward to the articles, enjoy reading people's passion for gaming

I do have a lot of games with 89-96% trophy complete, but I've never felt compelled to get those last few

Re: Poll: Is PS Portal the Biggest Surprise Hit of the PS5 Generation?

CallMeDuraSouka

@BAMozzy As one who pre-ordered the SteamDeck, and also has a portal, the 2 experiences are NOT the same.
Simply put the ergonomics on the Portal, the weight and the screen, battery(don't have oled SD) greatly make up for any " on board playability"
I use SD for Greenlight on Series X and it's pretty great, even with how well ergonomically the Deck is made, the weight and slightly cramped controls make longer sessions hard.
The Portal is fantastic niche kit, certainly not crap-

You're a diehard MS fan(i just joined Xbox at a rocky time), you have a tendency to rabbit hole anything with comparable context to something MS does which can lead to some very very long rants

Re: Just 1.3GB of PS5 Data Is on The Outer Worlds 2 Physical Disc

Welp, I'll be buying this used off of Gamefly- I don't buy often from Gamefly but it's the biggest F.U. way to buy used.
A few odd thousand people have already played it and now I'll "own" it knowing they got the least amount of return from me

I love my Series X too, but I'm so disillusioned with Microsoft

Edit: it's petty, but i think I'll pick up Indy and all future disk releases from MS and other 3rd party that feel " this is the way"

Re: Former God of War Dev Says Major Studios Should Make Smaller Games to Complement the Big Ones

CallMeDuraSouka

It's a novel idea in theory, but as other have pointed out, not often in practice.

I think PS should embrace games that allow active involvement in beta, like a big majority of smaller Steam games do.
It's free marketing, it creates a financial buffer and it shows the level of interest the community has in an idea.

The paying part would need reworked though..... and as it's Sony, it's a pipe dream

Re: Loads of PlayStation Concert Dates Cancelled Amid Rumours of Low Ticket Sales

CallMeDuraSouka

As a Classical music nerd this isn't terribly surprising.
It's always so painful/ sad when we go to the symphony, people my age are so rare to see.
My daughter was concert master for school and youth symphony for several years and every year the numbers shrank ,associated social media grew.
Thank goodness I didn't major in Classical Guitar performance...... that's a whole other rant

Pretty sad

/rant whine over....... for now

Re: Despite Concerns, Physical Copies of Gears of War PS5 Appear to Have the Campaign on the Disc

@Balaam_

Obviously this is just a gaming nerd hang out spot, and not a therapy / counseling session, but I'm going to throw out some unwanted recommendations;

It would be worth writing out the reasons why you feel you can't take enjoyment from playing a game without doing all of it to completion.
I would like you to also write an argument to why/ how this might impact continued enjoyment when you set conditions for enjoyment you can't control.

Bring these to our next sppt so we can discuss them

The clerical staff will set up payment plans on your way out

American High School sports eh, I mean... you're close. It does happen to say " College" right there in the title.

S'okay tho, you folks get lots of things wrong consistently; color, soccer, how to pronounce aluminum, cricket( pretty sure nobody likes that game, you've just put up with it)- consistency is a good thing after all
