Re: Poll: Was Sony's State of Play the Best Gaming Showcase of June?

stormyuk

Gotta admit as a PS5 and PC owner I thought the Xbox Showcase was better. Gamepass value is ridiculous and can essentially be free with Microsoft Rewards on PC. PS+ unfortunately doesn't compete although still love Sony first party stuff. I very rarely buy on release now though and wait till physical PS5 versions are on discount.

Re: Reaction: PlayStation Showcase Was Good, But Not Good Enough

Totally agree. The GoW comments on point. Yeh it looks good but, it's clearly a cross gen title. Santa Monica should have been bold and like Insomniac with Rift Apart brought us a PS5 only powerhouse.

Nothing really looked next generation. We are left hoping Insomniac can deliver again.

Where the hell exactly are Naughty Dog? A remaster? It's ok but, seriously.

Re: God of War Ragnarok PS5 Gameplay Is Godly, Features an Older Atreus

Honestly, it looks like DLC for 2018. They should have had the balls to do what Insomniac did with Rift Apart and make it PS5 only. My biggest disappointment of the showcase. 😞

When I compare the wow factor of 2018 on PS4 Pro which was a graphical show piece to how this is looking..... Yeh. 😞

Re: Sony Confirms Nixxes Purchase Will Aid Future PC Ports

I've crumbled and bought a gaming PC after been pretty much exclusively a PlayStation player for the last 10 to 15 years. Best of both worlds until they do day on day releases like Microsoft. Then I guess there will be no need for a PlayStation anymore just like there is no reason for an Xbox when you have a PC.

Hopefully we'll still get some killer SP experiences on the PS5 otherwise it will just collect dust.

Re: Reaction: Xbox Game Pass Is the Thorn in PS5's Side

It was a very good show. You'll get no salt from me. Games I am jealous of as a PS5 player. Sea of Thieves especially with new expansion! Outer Worlds 2, loved the first on PS4. Starfield, of course. Microsoft Flight Simulator, looks so good. Nice games and a very strong lineup. πŸ‘

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Forced to Disable Decorations and Seasonal Content Following Crash Reports

stormyuk

I've actually had very few problems on PS5. Not a single crash even with the latest event or decorations.

My only issue is 'Hunted' quest is bugged. I wanted to fail it so the Zealots hunt me but, even though it's been past 'dusk' many times Eivor stopped complaining about running out of time to burn the paper...

Oh and the cloth and birds which don't run at 60fps and are stuck in low fps while everything else is fine.

Re: Bethesda Says 'Some' Future Games Won't Launch on PS5, PS4

stormyuk

@BansheeNorn Huh? How is my reply remotely fan boy related? I can afford both I just can't justify it and have no room. So it will be a shame Bethesda games don't come to PS5.

Your Sony pony comment tells me all I need to know about you. First person on my ignore list. Well done.

HZD wasn't lame either imo.

Re: Days Gone Is Coming to PC

@PegasusActual93 I think it's all the FUD people are saying with day and date PS5 / PC releases are going to happen which I think is wrong personally.

Sony is not Microsoft. Sony is very, very reliant on PlayStation to make cash. If they release order games that makes perfect business sense but, if they shift new games onto PC simultaneously to PS5 it would actually push people off buying Sony hardware.

I just can't see even Ryan doing that at least currently this generation.

Re: Days Gone Is Coming to PC

stormyuk

Releasing old PS4 games on PC kinda makes sense but, if these studios are busy working on PC ports does it mean they are not working on PS5 games? That's probably more worrying.

Jim Ryan was pretty clear it's focused on PS4 games in the original GQ article.

"Particularly from the latter half of the PS4 cycle our studios made some wonderful, great games. There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience"

It would be madness to release day and date PS5 games at the same time as PC. It would just hurt PS5 sales and ultimately Sony's bottom line.
