Days Gone is coming to PC later this year, and irrespective of whether you’re delighted or disgruntled about the prospect of PlayStation 4 ports coming to desktop computers, we now have access to the first details regarding the re-release. The official Steam page for the title – it’ll also be available from the Epic Games Store – reveals that you can expect ultra-wide monitor support, unlocked framerates, and improved graphics.
Obviously, outside of these additions, this is the exact same game as the one already available on console, so there are no additional features or modes, although it will ship with all of Sony Bend’s excellent post-release content, including the arcade-style Challenge mode which is a ton of fun. So I hope/expect they'll release a patch for the game on PS5 to also include improved graphics.

I won't buy it again for PC but glad more people will get to play this game and hope a DG2 comes out soon.

You're welcome PC crowd, I beta tested the game for you so now enjoy the definitive edition at 8K with ray tracing. We've been reduced to glorified beta testers for Playstation exclusives now 🙄

Would be nice if Sony had the option for publishers to include PC versions on PS Store with the PlayStation version. Buy Days Gone on PS4 and get the PC version included. Some people might just buy the PlayStation version instead of the Steam or whatever store front version. Although publishers might not like the idea that some people won't buy more than one version (there's still people who need a copy of GTA).
Clearly PC is becoming the "go to" for games. It gets the games consoles don't, and now it's getting the Xbox and PS games as well. So kudos to the "master race". That said, I have a life, job, family, priorities...so PC gaming isn't my thing. Let the master race play it out in their mom's basement. It's just sad that Sony is taking the money away from the master race's moms (because we know who's really paying for things).
I consider it as treason since no visual improvements were released for PS5. Doubling framerate is great but PS5 can do more than that.

hey guys go and learn how to build a pc ,you can still build a good gaming pc out of 3 to 4 year old parts and still have a good picture to play games on. budget parts for builds are good to. its fun.
@Floki It didn't get 'improved graphics with increased Level of Detail and draw distance, higher FOV ' not reported here but, elsewhere for the PC version.
It's just the PS4 Pro version at 60fps on PS5.

Yeah good luck with that, Bucko... As in good luck building/buying a remotely comparable gaming PC for a similar cost as the PS5 (as in around £359 - because gaming PCs don't really come with disc drives any more). Let alone, good luck finding a graphics card at all, at the moment
Owning a console doesn't make us special, it's just the most convenient way to play games. It's convenient because:
all this "muh exclusives, why should I even bother buying a playstation next time" is mostly the whinings of people who don't understand why/that they've got it good (maybe not "ultra high graphics gaming PC" good, but certainly "performance at price point and first access to exclusives" good)
I lool forward to replaying Days Gone on my brand-new PS5.

The two exclusives that have gone to PC so far are well passed their peak in sales, and there's interest in sequels for both.
Dangle the exclusives library in front of a new audience like this, then release the sequels on PS5. 🤷♂️
And besides, singleplayer, narrative driven exclusives are clearly Sony 's focus. Nobody has anything to worry about here. It's an extra injection of cash for the IP.
We're more likely to get a sequel for this game now.
This is so disappointing. I played the game 2 years ago and thought I had really enjoyed it, but now this release on PC has meant I didn't actually enjoy it 2 years ago after all. Also means I can't enjoy any other PS game knowing in about 2 or 3 years time it will be on PC. Its why I don't go the cinema anymore as knowing it will be out on disc release with added extras means the big screen experience is rubbish and makes me so mad.
In my protest I'm going to screw Sony with their £450 machine and 2 years advance access to some games and buy myself a £2000 PC and sit waiting 3 years until those PS games turn up. I win Sony!

The games can only look/play as good as the console they’re made for.
If we/consumers want a relatively cheap console, there have to be sacrifices somewhere. The alternative is, Sony release a mega-expensive console, no one buys it and these games don’t get made.
The games look/play great on PS4/5 anyway.

Always like that under Rockstar's posts, they go from begging and crying for PC versions of GTAV & RDRII to all of a sudden entitled clowns belittling console versions when theirs is released.

A game came out two years ago on a already 5/6 year old console, which was relatively obsolete by PC standards within the first year or so and people are surprised its looking better.
I played it when it came out, enjoyed it and moved on.. I got what I wanted out of the experience with the limitations of the hardware.
PS5 should get these upgrades where possible like Horizon Zero Dawn should really have gotten a PS5 upgrade announced last year.
PC ports are fine but Sony needs to be careful not to make it seem like PC is a higher priority than PS.
@d0a01xz don't need it.PS5 has PS4 BC, and recently received a patch. Days Gone runs at 60fps on FPS, instead of 30fps on PS4. I think there was some graphics upgrades too.

Loved the game 2 years ago, great story and characters and loved the hordes. Had my fun, don't care if PC gamers get to play it now. More money for Sony to continue making brilliant games and it advertises the Sony brand to millions of PC players! Makes excellent business sense to me. As long as they don't go day and date my box under my TV doesn't get undervalued. Would much rather play the games when they are released than have to wait two years and play them with a few extra bells and whistles.
😄-I Platinumed this game on the PS5, it was the FIRST game I downloaded from the PlayStation+ collection on PS5 after Platinuming Astro's Playroom.
I wanted to purchase it back when it released but I kept hearing that it had problems running smoothly even on the PS4 Pro, so I held off purchasing it and glad I did, because it ran smooth and beautifully at 4k 60fps on the PS5 in backwards compatibility mode, so I'm looking forward to a FULL on PS5 Version of Days Gone Part 2!
I don't understand why people Rag-On and complain about the game in any way, it's character's and story are solid enough and the actual gameplay is a blast to play!
I say bring on more SAWMILL HOARDS! (500+ Freakers) + PS5= Butter smooth 60fps gaming!

Yes, I have played and thoroughly enjoyed Days Gone and I recomend it to everyone who owns a PS5 and have PS Plus subscrition, and now to those who have a high end PC.
No, I will not purchase the game again to play on my High End PC, since I already have the special edition on PS4 and the PS Plus digital version as well.
Having said that, I would love a sequel for this great game on my Shiny new PS5, so I can fight a horde of freakers and feel every bullet fired, every hit of melee weapons and every bite on Deacon when they swarm at him 😜

Aside from the awful, dated main character archetype, I quite enjoyed this game, but when I went back for a second play through is was a real slog and I gave up. A ‘once only’ game for me.
