Re: Video: Why Sony Will Never Make the PS Vita 2

@riceNpea To be fair, my fiber optic equipment (for lack of formal term) installed outside of house is from around 2012. While my wireless router is same age and definitely predates Wi-Fi 6. Guessing has to do with inferior connection.

(personal sob story warning lol)

The only PlayStation portable I ever had was the original PSP. Got stolen out of my locker at work along with installed 128MB Memory Stick and game progress.

Even though not Sony’s fault, left a void (especially the irreplaceable game progress) that I could never overcome by simply buying a new unit….And as a side note, those UMDs took painfully for-ever to load.

As for the ‘Portal’, I can see crashing and burning. Entirely dependent on a stable Wi-Fi connection (which can be reliable as the weather).

Maybe not a fair comparison, but I had tried likewise mirroring my PS5 on iPhone 13 Pro. Even with 80 megabit down internet in same house as console, connection would always lag and eventually quit.

The sudden demand I would say has much to do with PS cult following. A similar first party Xbox mirror would not be flying off the shelves.

@BrockSmith At the very least I’d like to take on the final boss, “Sepiroth” (think that is correct from what I originally remember - did not look up).

My PS1 and memory card are long gone. Maybe there is some way I can fast forward in the original untouched game. Will look into it.

I bought FFVII on launch day in 1997 for PS1 (as well as BradyGames paperback guide).

Made it very close to the final boss fight, then just abandoned for reasons I honestly can’t remember.

Wonder if is worth playing any of the ‘updates’ / continuations on latest gen hardware.

No longer having a paperback guide will take away some of the nostalgia for me.

I have the SN850 2TB that bought for about $280 US a year ago. Don’t think there is any need for me to upgrade.

Especially since I have over 1TB still free, and mainly use it for storage (I almost exclusively play games directly from the stock internal, transferring as necessary).

And just wondering, how fast does expansion SSD need to be? The PS5 GPU / CPU / etc. does have its limits.
