There’s just a week until Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releases on PS5, and that means it’s time to start pre-loading the anticipated exclusive ahead of its launch. Insomniac Games has confirmed on Twitter that those who’ve pre-ordered the title digitally can begin pulling its data now, meaning that it’ll be ready to play on 20th October, which is the title’s release day. The file size weighs in at around 86GB.

@paulbuck1996 I'll be getting mine on 30th (pay day). I am in no rush since i have The Crew Motorfest (enjoying it a lot) and Phantom Liberty to play through.
Also will be getting it physical and with those badges.

Luckily the downloads on PS5 are rather fast these days.
I decided on Mario instead. I like the previous Spiderman games but there's no massive change bug enough to justify me spending over £60 for it. I'll wait till after Christmas, it's bound to be in a new years sale somewhere.
@PenguinLtd I don't suppose you are in the UK.... ShopTo in the UK you can get discounted vouchers for psn store which I use.
I assume any other country like USA would have a discounted website you could use.

I’m really looking forward to this, but a part of me thinks that because it’s obviously set in New York again there’s not a lot that can be done to make it that much of an evolution over the previous two games. This is Insomniac we’re talking about though, so I’m sure to be proven wrong.
Only new game I've bought digital, I managed to get £70 worth of Playstation Gift Cards for £60.55 so it worked out cheaper buying digital.

Conflicted on this one, given the recent moves towards an all-digital future. I had decided to purchase all first party titles (and a few official bangers) on physical this gen but, what if I can't go back to the game next gen because... no Blu-Ray drive? Yes, I know I could keep my PS5 alongside my PS6 but still, I'd rather only have one box hooked up.
And with the help of discounted PS Store £££, it's also cheaper digitally...
I wonder when they will charge for the collector's edition and ship that out. I think it comes with 2-day shipping, and I'm sure they don't want copies coming early, but I don't like them cutting it too close, either.

I'm planning on playing Alan Wake 2 first since it's the spooky season after all so Spider Man 2 will have to wait. I don't like playing two or more story focused games at the same time. I just hope I won't run into any spoilers till I finally get to play it...
Really have to complete the first one. Bought it again on PC to play it with 60fps Ray tracing but can time any hits, constantly dying and missing prompts. Think the DLSS is wrecking my latency? Anyway thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.

Insomniac are one of very few developers that have earned a pre order from me. Im off work on the 20th due to a large drinking session on the 19th so by the time amazon turn up with it i should be ready to go.
Pre-ordered and ready. It has been said plenty of times but this year is phenomenal. I was about to get Lords of the Fallen but figured I couldn't finish it til Spider-Man 2 drops so I'll hold off until I finished Spider-Man 2 and then Alan Wake 2.

10 years ago it was all about Arkham. I even loved Origins (silly it was never remastered) but Spider-Man has taken over, very cool. Did Rocksteady peak with City?
