Ahead of its release in 2027, anticipated side-scroller Mega Man: Dual Override will make its playable debut at Gamescom in August.
A demo will be playable in Capcom’s booth, alongside Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. There’ll also be various activities around Street Fighter 6.
We haven’t seen much of the new Mega Man game since it was announced at The Game Awards last year, but presumably this playable debut will be accompanied by new trailers and gameplay footage.

While I’m not the world’s biggest Mega Man fan myself, I know this new title has been eagerly anticipated – and Capcom’s been on a pretty unbeatable run these last few years.
As a reminder, Gamescom will take place between 26th and 30th August, so a little over two months from today.
I’d fully expect Dual Override to feature during Geoff Keighley’s pre-event press conference, Opening Night Live, so perhaps keep an eye out for new info then.
