P3R I loved, but I will not be buying this. Adding it as an expansion pass (especially at this price point) is completely unnecessary and a practice I don't want to encourage. Voting with my wallet.
Really glad they released a demo for this game, genuinely appreciative of the way SE continue to do this. Confirmed to me that I should absolutely not get this game - clunky, overly chaotic combat & dull characters means a hard pass for me.
Can't wait for this game, Alana picked up on the one small negative I noted the first time I watched the original trailer - lots going on on the screen, looks a bit overwhelming! Don't think it'll affect the enjoyment too much though.
Really enjoyed it, a perfect level of challenge without being ridiculously punishing. This is why demos are great, I'm now sold and will be buying day one
Absolutely buzzing at this!! TX was the first game I got the plat for - it was so much more than the sum of its parts, and was so much fun to play. Day one for sure
@ShogunRok do you have the option to choose a romance option for Rean at the start of the game or does it just continue with whoever you picked in CS 4?
I would literally dance around my sitting room naked if Tokyo Xanadu 2 is announced. Absolutely loved the first one, first game I ever got the plat for!
@Mostik definitely, I think for a small developer to create such an incredible-looking world that really feels lived-in, as well as one that runs super-smooth on ps5 is an amazing achievement, hopefully will see a sequel at some point!
Playing The Ascent. Stunning cyberpunk world, not the greatest story and fairly repetitive, but the gunplay is so satisfying - well worth the £10 in the PSN Store sale!
Finally got the Platinum trophy on Octopath Traveler 2 - fantastic game, better than the first in almost every way! Time to move on to The Last of Us Part 1 on PS5, finally got it at a big discount in an Easter sale as I refuse to pay full price for it.
I've never watched the anime, but bought it based on the Push Square review - as a big jrpg fan I'm really enjoying it so far! As mentioned earlier though, so far it's been extremely easy - hopefully some harder difficulty settings can be patched in at some point.
Tokyo Xanadu Ex+ for me, a massively underrated Falcom game that's more than the sum of its parts! Then onto Mass Effect Legendary Edition to explore space & romance Miranda all over again
@Korgon I thought Soul Hackers 2 wqs exactly that too - just ok. Had so much promise, with a more mature cast and a decent battle system, but those dreadful dungeons absolutely killed it for me. There was enough there to build on though I reckon, if they've sold enough to do a sequel with maybe a slightly bigger budget I'd be well on board
@get2sammyb does this raise any red flags to you about the performance on ps5? Has a slight Cyberpunk 2077 on previous gen consoles feel about it to me....
@ShogunRok exactly, that's what will be the case for me. I'm assuming it'll just not work. Would have been helpful for NISA to be a bit clearer, and also on whether the PS4 to PS5 upgrade path is chargeable or not. I'm assuming it is, but again, it's not the clearest from NISA!
@belmont that's really helpful to know, I appreciate it! I don't buy anything directly from NISA for many reasons - including the one that you mentioned!
@belmont totally agree. Does that mean, for example, that any decisions about character romances (that may give unique dialogue/scenes in Reverie) are lost if you get the PS5 version? @ShogunRok any info?

Re: PS5 Horror Cronos: The New Dawn Is Dead Space in All But Name
It's a clear Dead Space clone. Which I am 100% on board with

Trails through Daybreak! There's also the small matter of it coming home.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 536
Trails through Daybreak! Love the new cast, especially Van - only in chapter 2 and he's already the best protagonist of the entire series, true fact
Re: Talking Point: What's Your PS5 Game of the Year for 2024 So Far?
Never thought I'd be saying this at the start of the year, but it's Stellar Blade, hands down. Simply the most fun game this year!
Re: Final Fantasy 9 Remake Is Almost Certainly Real as Another Database Leak Appears
@Ashina so much this.

@Paper_Yoshi totally with you on this - it just doesn't work. Such a shame.

It's just fun. 9 for me

Final Fantasy 9 remake.
Re: Nomura Promises Death Won't be Cheated in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Don't change a thing, just let Aerith die. Team Tifa for the win
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Persona 5 Tactica?
Nope.
Persona 5 is one of the GOAT, but zero interest in Tactica
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Alan Wake 2?
I give it an 8. Amazing graphics & atmosphere, but combat still a bit on the clunky side IMO.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 484
Was playing FF XVI, but couldn't resist switching to Trails into Reverie to catch up with the gang
