They should all be standalone downloads for me. The ui for cod has been a mess for years. Genuinely annoying the way it works, especially for old timers like me who just play the campaign… though I appreciate I am in the minority.

This is cool, had no idea this game was being made. Pure pool is the best pool sim ever made imo. I don’t have a ps5 pro or care about 8k right now but I’m glad a developer is exploring the future.

More good news, what a depressing industry this can be at times. I hope the people who have been laid off find better work elsewhere. Talented individuals are being wasted by greedy employers. Chasing the live service dream was managements mistake, not the workers.

@DennisReynolds the price is obviously inflated on Xbox as I would imagine most users have game pass access. They also have the choice of a physical edition which also reduces cost to the consumer. The higher price has stopped me from buying it is all I was saying, maybe it’s stopped more? Or maybe I’m the only person that doesn’t like paying that much for a 4 year old game.

I’m sure it would be doing even better at a cheaper price point. I’m not paying more than £30 for it, though it is positive news that will encourage Microsoft to release more Xbox exclusives on the PS5.

Really looking forward to this one, if they nail community sharing of created tracks and a decent career mode I’m sold!

@YoureTooSlowBro Thanks I missed that! It’s a shame developers don’t see these issues before launch, leaves a sour taste. If they have to change the fundamental design of the game then maybe it’s too little too late.

I wish I could like this game. The always online setup of this game has destroyed any chance of credibility. Having to wait in a lobby countdown to a single player event full of ai opponents is ridiculous. Unless they rethink the philosophy of this title it is doomed to fail. Waiting in lobby’s when not playing against other people is tedious at best and downright unacceptable at worst. Don’t buy this if you like a good time, wait for forza horizon instead.

Hopefully they all find good jobs elsewhere. This sort of thing is never good. It’s crazy how much money is at the top of gaming but down the bottom it’s so tough.

Just bought Robocop Alex Murphy edition last week for £16.49. Thought I was getting a good deal with that… should’ve been more patient! Advice to anyone who was a fan of the movies is buy this game at this price, it is excellent value.

I personally don’t think Xbox not making hardware is a bad thing. I appreciate the lack of competition angle but realistically if Sony becomes complacent from a hardware perspective all of the game publishers will lose out. There will still be huge pressure on Sony to get it right with the hardware. Games themselves will still be driven by competition, and pc specs will keep Sony honest. Those fearing a monopoly are doing so unnecessarily in my opinion.

It’s completely over saturated with pointless content now. Surely they would be better off making the multiplayer free to play and release a quality standalone campaign every three years. The same should happen with eafc and ultimate team mode. The quest to squeeze every last drop of cash from people has completely ruined the franchise

Such a shame, maybe the time is right to separate the campaign and sell as a standalone title that is released every 2-3 years

I’d prefer a slim, I got a ps4 pro and regretted it so won’t be making the same mistake again. Why can’t we have more games? I don’t care about frame rates and ray tracing as much as others. The ssd is the selling point of ps5 for me. Make a slim with a 2tb ssd and I’m sold

Grid legends is a good game, gets a bit grindy in career mode but it’s good fun racing

Nobody has paramount plus and I’d doubt this will sway it. Here’s hoping they get absorbed by Netflix/Prime/Disney+

I am from England and couldn’t be more aware now that a population suffers from actions of its government. Ours is a complete joke and since brexit all benefits of being English are disappearing and rightly so. If more of my people used their brains and votes remain than economic sanctions our businesses are suffering wouldn’t be happening. The only weapon I have against the Russian administration is money, it’s disappointing but games are not different to any other commodity.

I think it’s probably best to disable the comments on articles about this game. Pro Russian rhetoric has no place here. Until the war stops all Russians should face the consequences of their complicity. This game should be boycotted.

I’m only interested in the campaign so I don’t see why I have to give them a phone number. The game is already a complete mess with all the different installation packs that confuse old guys like me! Microsoft accounts are a pain to have. Everything just seems so difficult for the end user with these companies… Most cod players are too young to have mobile phones anyway!

I’d be happy with crash 4 as I don’t have it but didn’t want to pay full price for it. Other two are typical ps plus fodder but it goes to show that Sony didn’t really need to change format of ps plus. People can be happy with good games that they get to keep. Competition can only be good for us. I don’t like the name particularly but it will be irrelevant if they produce a better game. Will this open up new possibilities for licensing such as the national league? I’d like that… PES never had the budget to challenge fifa games and licensing didn’t help. It’s a risk from EA sports, their success is practically built on fifa games

@Milktastrophe nobody gets a good deal here. I gave up subscribing to ps plus 3 years ago. I’m an older gamer who doesn’t care for multiplayer games with 12 year olds making death threats and wishes of cancer. Why pay to be part of that poison? I’m not jealous I’m just sad because the best is over. This is just another cherry on top from Sony, thanks for trolling me though ✌️

Careful what you wish for. Sony are clearly incapable of providing a realistic alternative to game pass. The whole thing is a mess. Making people pay the entire difference if they want to try upgrading for a month is ridiculous? Existing subscribers to plus should’ve been given the mid tier as a good will gesture. Ps now subscribers should be refunded their remaining subscription cost. Typical Sony shrouding everything in secrecy causing unrest on the internet. They seem to be incapable of positive press at the moment. Even Nintendo seem to be better at this.

Gaming is getting harder and harder to enjoy these days. We need fresh companies with much more consumer friendly ideas. Things like this are just depressing. What are we paying Sony for?

Time will tell how serious they are, fingers crossed it’s a genuine commitment to putting it right.

I loved gta4. I would like it on PlayStation 4 or 5, would save me having to resort to playing it on a laptop screen. It was different to the usual rockstar. I’d even subscribe to psnow again if it came on but would prefer a proper remaster. I know people complain about remasters but I love them. Ever since tomb raider anniversary on ps3. Being able to bring modern standards to classic games is never a bad thing in my book.
