Monster Hunter: World Teams Up with The Witcher for a Series of New Quests Starring Geralt

Geralt's having a fair few unexpected adventures these days, isn't he? Following on from his jaunt into SoulCalibur VI, the white-haired hero's going to appear in Monster Hunter: World in early 2019. This fresh crossover will see your hunter join forces with Geralt in a series of new quests. What's more, Geralt will be fully voiced, and you can get a look at him in the trailer above.

Like other crossovers, this update will be free to all Monster Hunter: World players. Will you be joining the White Wolf early next year? Sharpen that silver in the comments section below.

I wonder what monster he will bring with him.
Also what a time to be alive as a gamer as far as crossovers go. Seems like everything is crossing over. Dc, mortal kombat, ninja turtles, hellboy, soul calibur, witcher, monster hunter, final fantasy, horizon zero dawn, marvel, capcom, fortnite, tekken, the walking dead, persona etc nothing is left without a crossover.

EDIT: also since geralt is on a portal hopping crossover tour what about geralt for smash ultimate and MK11?

So these are special missions where you play as Geralt? I recall there was also crossover content with Horizon: Zero Dawn in MHW.

@Ralizah Horizon Zero Dawn was just a costume, one for the hunter, and one for the palico. This seems to be more like actual side quests.

The producer also mentioned something about a new RPG mechanic implemented for this new event? So that's gonna be interesting.

@Jaz007 No, events usually only last between one to three weeks but they tend to bring back old events so you could still probably get access to this in the future even if you missed the initial one.

Geralt is way too slow for monster hunter combat, who thought this was a good idea? LOL

Might be the perfect time to get back into it. Anyone know if it plays alright over Vita Remote Play? My internet's more than enough to handle it, just wondering if controls are ok.

@huyi played a couple of missions in MH:W, and I don't think Geralts any slower then them. If anything, with slight adaption he's gonna be a lot faster than the MH hunters.
