Re: Turn-Based Battles Could Be Scrapped for PS4's Final Fantasy VII Remake

alphadrago5

Can't people just be happy to play the game in a more realistic looking environment with modern fast paced gameplay?
I honestly can't imagine enjoying watching the characters just standing there waiting for their gauge to fill to attack the enemy, and then doing that a thousand more times throughout the game as I progress.
It would totally break immersion and would make the combat the worst part of the game. Makes no sense whatsoever to keep a turn based system when FFXV feels so natural with its combat.
Combat isn't the only thing to the game!
It has to go with the rest of the game which is largely going to be the same. The atmosphere, the settings, the characters, plot and maybe even dialogue are all gonna be mostly the same. It's a day 1 buy for me if they can make the game as great as it was then now.

I'm super excited for this too and hope they put in a lot more focus and attention to make sure it gets plenty of awesome games.
This isn't the future yet, but it's definitely the best we've got so far.
Probably one of the main things for me is that I want to be able to play a game without damaging my eyes, and I hope that some day we'll be able to figure out a solution to that.

I'll probably get the dlc just because out of any game i've played, the pvp in Destiny is by far some of the most fun multiplayer content i've done with and without friends.
That trials of Osiris though.. ugh.. I keep trying to go 9-0 to unlock mercury but it's such a pain. Last week I needed 1 more victory to unlock it while playing with a friend and some guy from the LFG site and lost to some max leveled clan with the unique weapons from opening the chest on mercury. Tried again this week on the new map and went 6-0 before bombing again. Trials of Osiris= Tears

Re: As Expected, You Need to Pre-Order The Elder Scrolls Online to Play as Any Race in Any Faction on PS4

alphadrago5

@milero91 You can already pick whatever faction you want, (which is permanent) but all this does is let you play as a different race in the faction. If they let you play with friends on other factions it would break immersion and moot the whole warring factions aspect. You can however make more characters that can be in the other factions. Thus allowing you to play with friends.

I don't get why everyone is so worked up about this. This was announced back when the game first launched on pc and i'm pretty sure there is another article just like this one about it. Not to mention you can buy this bonus as well as the other bonuses for pre-ordering in the in-game crown store for like 5 dollars.
This still doesn't let you play with your friends on other factions! All it does is let you choose a different starter race. Think of it as having a different color skin or tail or something for pre-ordering.

Re: Guide: Which Skills Should You Pick in The Witcher 3 on PS4?

alphadrago5

Just finished the first main quest and am a few levels in. Really appreciate these tips as the game is pretty difficult. Funny enough though the only time I ever died so far was 5 seconds after the first cutscene when I learned the game doesn't have invisible walls on balconies. Fall damage too OP. Needs nerf.

Re: Assassin's Creed Syndicate Slums It on PS4 from 23rd October

alphadrago5

Mixed feelings about the gameplay...
While the concept, story and new features are really cool, the combat and npc's seem dumber and even less intricate than usual.
You can just throw a knife at someone 10 feet below you while they're right next to at least 2 civilians and none of them make any remark or appear frightened in the slightest? Really?
If Ubisoft added more small details then this would be a must-buy for me. Once again supporting that the 1-year release schedule for this series is stupid.

Re: Assassin's Creed Syndicate Is a Single Player Stab-'Em-Up Only

alphadrago5

While I personally did like the competitive multiplayer in the games, I feel this is a step in the right direction and hope that Ubisoft concentrates it's efforts into making an original story experience. I have high hopes for this and the idea of playing as two sibling characters seems pretty interesting.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront Force Chokes Single Player Campaign

alphadrago5

I don't get why people are upset. This still sounds just like the old battlefront games. It will have single player modes that will be fun like the old ones. Maybe it will have galactic conquest or something similar, but people are stupid to expect a whole new campaign out of a title like this that was always focused on the combat. Not every game needs to follow the same structure of campaign + multiplayer to be a masterpiece. Still have high hopes for this.

Re: It Looks Like The Witcher 3's Season Pass Won't Break the Bank

alphadrago5

@Boerewors I have the same thing. I barely even started playing Dragon Age Inquisition before I deleted it to make room for Bloodborne. Same goes for Borderlands the Pre-sequel, Assassins creed unity, Lego Marvel, Killzone Shadowfall, Littlebigplanet 3, and bunch of other games on ps3 that I doubt I will ever even start up despite buying them. Lots of fantastic games that I just can't get the motivation to spend time on.
