Rumour: Destiny: The Taken King Will Give You Wings

Nope, too late for me. The only MMO I'll be playing from here on out is Elder Scrolls Online. At least that game seems to have quite a bit of content WITHOUT expansions.

@JesWood13 honestly to me it still just feels like paying for content ripped from the main game. I'm sure fans of Destiny, of which there are still many, are excited for the new content but I've left the game in my past.

I just want new multiplayer modes like ctf and others. not sure if ill get the new season pass.

I will probably give it a miss, too many good games about to be released.

Complete rip off how much they charge for DLC though. £35 for a season lass which only gives you first 2 DLC. The amount of money they have made from the game so far this next one should be free...

To counter all the complaining this site does about Destiny, Im going to leave this here. Iv got over 350 hours clocked with it, making it my second most played game of all time. I like it. Its fun. Its not perfect, Im ok with that.

I agree that it is a lot of fun. Far from perfect but fun nonetheless. And for a while I was ok with that. Until HOW dropped and I had to do the grind to get my weapons and armor up to max level all over again. I don't know about you, but that got tiring and tedious really fast. And now just doing stupid bounties for Petra so I can buy the ship... yeah stupid I know since you can get the ship if you do PoE level 35. Don't even care about etheric light anymore since it is hard to get. Let's not even start with the chest keys.

Not going to bother with Trials since I super suck at PvP. Did it a couple of times and got blown away.... BAAADDDDD!!!

Hats off and salute to all the good players there though, they really own it.

ps - the new armor designs for Titan and Warlock kinda blows in my opinion (just my opinion )

@testyardallen Ah, don't bother with things like ships, this is just fluff. Honestly, HoW doesn't feel like a grind to me at all, Im just casually playing and enjoying right now (as casually as someone can after 350+ hours) If armour drops for me, cool, if not then whatever. The PoE is ace, and the multiplayer is fantastic right now, really enjoying this weeks iron banner so far.

Get the Iron banner to lvl 3 this week and you can purchase the etheric light for 5k a pop. Expensive sure, but its there. Iv got the glimmer maxed at the moment with another 10k in the vault, just needed this reason to spend it.

I think the key the happiness in Destiny is to find what your favourite weapons and gear are, max them out and then just enjoy that. If you try to max everything, it will destroy the fun for you.

And btw, ToO is the most bad ass multiplayer game Iv ever played, super intense matches, super fun. You want that treasure, too bad, so does your opponent, they really make you work for it. It does not get given to you. But when you succeed, you know its because you deserve it

My favorite has always been the scout rifle. Maxed out my VoC for 2 characters already. Working on the last one. Special and heavies I stick with exotics since they are easier to ascend (my ghorns and ice-breakers take priority of course). Also my armors. Not bothered with the rest. If I find extras, then I will upgrade others. If not, its fine.

Thanks for the Iron Banner suggestion. I might just do that... though I would take time to complete the bounties since, like I said, I suck haha...

I love this game but it is flawed. However, I can't stop playing it. Lol. you mentioned that you have to rank to three in the iron banner to buy etheric light? How long did it take you? I've never played iron banner before because I really really suck at PvP. I just wish someone would just rank up for me. Lol

I'll probably get the dlc just because out of any game i've played, the pvp in Destiny is by far some of the most fun multiplayer content i've done with and without friends.
That trials of Osiris though.. ugh.. I keep trying to go 9-0 to unlock mercury but it's such a pain. Last week I needed 1 more victory to unlock it while playing with a friend and some guy from the LFG site and lost to some max leveled clan with the unique weapons from opening the chest on mercury. Tried again this week on the new map and went 6-0 before bombing again. Trials of Osiris= Tears

I enjoyed this game for a while until I realised I was essentially just playing the same bits over and over again just to level my gear so that I could once again simply play the same strikes yet again. I really hope we get a sequel with a story mode with an actual story and with real rewards. Not have its best gun be obsolete as soon as you finish or have menial bounties that give you vastly more experience points in just a couple of minutes, perhaps have a side quest or two. All the mechanisms are in place so all they have to do is build a real game around it, oh and don't force people into pvp with your vendor currencies and the ridiculous iron banners which force you to play for multiple hours in a single week.

Please don't call "get 2 first DLCs" a season-pass, okay?

@Kayoss I want to say a few hours, but I'm not sure. Getting to rank 3 feels reasonable to me though, it's anything above that feels like a grind usually. Two tips though, be at least Lv. 31, and play on the weekend. That's when the buff to rank up faster you can buy from Lord Saladin each day starts to get big. It's plus 40% Fri, 60% Sat, 100% Sun, and 150% on Monday.

An awesome expansion would be finally getting to pilot your loading screen spaceship into a dog fight. That would complete the package.

@SouthTippBass ToO is great…well, until you come up against 3 warlocks whom you destroy, then at 1 on the counter they self res and kill you and win…somehow, despite the fact you have just killed them.
That is just rediculous unbalanced rubbish.
As ONLY a warlock can do it, if you arent one you could quite easily be beaten by poor end of round management.
In the sense that if I kill you all, the round should be over there and then, no timer, no bulls**t.

@ToOGoodOfAPlaya You could make the same argument about the Hunters blade dancer being overpowered, or the Titans fist of havoc being overpowered. Thats the characters advantage, it also comes with limitations. You just gotta work with it.

@SouthTippBass I agree those are powerfull but it shouldnt be useable AFTER youve lost.
If I cross the finish line first, you shouldnt be able to nudge me back accross an then cross the line yourself.
If I kill you all the round should be over, its not the ability thats unfair but the way a round ends.
If you revive BEFORE the last man goes down then fine.

@ToOGoodOfAPlaya one could say it was your own fault. When I should gun down a warlock, I always reload and give it a second, just cause I know he might rez. But I get what ur saying in a sense , rounds over so round should be over.

I walked away from destiny for a while and wasnt gonna come back but HoW is pretty good. And makes the grind longer but smoother and with more options to get to end game. There business model is terrible but I feel like thats not bungies fualt as much as the money-jack-holes that are over them. Ive alreafy dedicated tons of hours into this game and I look at it as a building block for the new expansions and sequels. I wanna be that guy in destiny 3 who has the vex mythoclast and new players be like where did you get that?

@BladeRider Yeah if I kill some dude, then just run off and he revives then kills me fine.
But exactly that, the round is over when the last guy goes down regardless.
Not being able to revive at 1 second and end up 3 on 1.
Thats more my frustration.

@ToOGoodOfAPlaya had pulled out 4 wins against 3 bladedancers, last 3 rounds each one pops super and wipes us out each round of the last 3 rounds of the match. I wanna get mad at that but thats just the way the game works....😒

@BladeRider But if you kill them, and you can, but lose two team mates you win right?
If you kill three locks and lose team mates and they all res, you have just been pushed back over the finish line.
Just seems a bit of a cheap way to lose.

@ToOGoodOfAPlaya lol yeah it is , thats what Im trying to say. The game will give you alot of cheap wins or loses like that, but thats just the nature of the game man. Game is not about skill as much as abusing whats given to ya (powers, exotics). Atleast thats my take. But

yes it is cheap, its cheap as shiit. I totally agree.

If this is anything like the last two I wont buy it. Not interested anyway...I'm done with Destiny.
