Re: Talking Point: What Does E3 2014 Tell Us About the Future of the PlayStation Vita?

alphadrago5

I love my vita and all the games on it. I'm fine with games only coming out now and then, and I can accept that it's not one of Sony's priorities..
But they barely even mentioned it at E3.. Instead of that boring segment with technical stuff that everyone hated, they could have easily talked about all the stuff that's coming for vita. I didn't even know tales of Xillia 2 was coming for vita, something like that would've been fantastic to hear and would've been enough to keep me excited, but the lack of any attention for the vita is just abysmal. Remote Play isn't an insta-seller for the vita. I've used it once.. maybe twice in total since it came out.
Show the handheld some love sony.. <3

Re: E3 2014: Come and Meet Your Dragon Age: Inquisition Party Members

I might be alone but I just don't have such high hopes for this game. I'll buy it, but it just doesn't have the same feel as the first games. It may just be too early to tell but all the characters seem a bit lacking in detail and personality compared to the first two. If they can beat the brother/sister bond in DA2 though, i'll be impressed. That was by far one of the most emotional moments in gaming for me.

Re: E3 2014: PS4 RPG Final Fantasy XV Skipping E3 in Favour of Events Later in the Year

alphadrago5

Am I the only one who liked FF13?
Generally I figure the more time devs spend on a game, the better quality it will be in the end. (Just pretend Duke Nukem Forever didn't exist). With all the tales games coming out, in addition to DA:I, Witcher 3, Lords of the Fallen, Borderlands PreSequel, and the Souls game that looks like Demon Souls 2(Hopefully).. I think i'm set on rpg's for 2014 and early 2015..
Wondering if there'll be any news from Bethesda at E3.. I'd be more than happy to add fallout/new elder scrolls title to my list

Re: Who Would Win Wednesdays: Raiden vs. Sephiroth

alphadrago5

So I chose Raiden. Hypothetically, lets say this is a more realistic world where Sephiroth's "Super(overpowered)nova" move would actually destroy anything it touches in one hit (including the earth). I've learned from all the games I've played, movies and shows I've watched in my life... every attack has it's weak point. Supernova is a huge and devastating spell, so logically it must take a good amount of time to cast (in addition to the fact that it would probably kill Sephiroth too.. since he wouldn't have a planet to stand on or air to breathe).
Raiden is a cyborg, so he's fast, strong, and he can spot weaknesses in his enemies. Not to mention that his sword is easier to handle than Masamune (because it's shorter) and is capable of shredding through Sephiroth's fleshy body in an instant. Meanwhile it would take quite a few hits from Sephiroth to cut through Raiden's metal. Also there's Raiden's Defensive Offense ability...

Re: Feature: 12 PS3 Hits We'd Like to See Remastered for PS4

alphadrago5

I'd love to see the KOTOR games on PS4. It really is one of the best RPG's around in my opinion. Heck, i'd be happy if it even got a ps3 release.
Alternatively though, i'd have to say that MGR:Revengeance deserves a spot on the PS4 list of ports. Just imagine slicing and dicing now with EVEN PRETTIER GRAPHICS! No but seriously.. it'd be glorious.

Re: Analyst: PS4 Sales Will Surpass 100 Million Over the Next Six Years

alphadrago5

I'll be honest.. I think these analysts are gonna be terribly wrong.. I was sorta skeptical when they predicted 5 million by march but I see now the PS4 has no problem reaching that. But 100 million? That's insane. As in they are completely taking out the fact that someone actually has to buy the thing. There are only so many gamers in the world.. Think about how many units GTA V or Black Ops II sold. A lot, making billions of dollars, but no where near 100 million units were sold even if you combine the two together.
-Edit- Tried getting the exact numbers for those 2 games, BO2 was 7.5m in September 2012.. so guessing around 10m by now. GTA V is hard to figure out since a lot of units were "sold-in" and we don't exactly know how much of those were sold. It's likely around 20-25m though (Because it was 15m units minimum in the first 3 days as they got 1 billion dollars in that time period). In the end I suppose if you add these two up it's 1/3 of the way there… nah still not really close.

Re: Review: Warframe (PlayStation 4)

alphadrago5

Personally, I greatly disagree with Rob here. I started playing Warframe the moment I got my PS4 and while the tutorial is pretty much useless and I can agree with that they don't tell you much at all about the game, figuring out the best ways to play and all the stuff that they could've put in the tutorial (like blocking (up on D-Pad)) opens up a new door for players to decide what they wanna use often and what they might not. On the subject of the F2P model, I think this game has an astounding model and is one of the best i've seen. A lot of the stuff on the marketplace is expensive to encourage players to farm more and see more of the maps. They start you off with 50 platinum and you have even more if you got the PS+ free pack which came with 50k credits and 100 platinum(or was it 50.. I don't remember) which is more than enough to buy some inventory slots to be able store more frames/weapons (back to bad tutorial here). Or you could save it for materials or catalysts/reactors to be able to customize your favorite war frame/weapons more.
Also the UI and controls are fantastic in my opinion. The only button that isn't very well placed is guard (Up on D-Pad) and with the next update you should be able to customize said controls to map onto other buttons according to the developers.
In the end it seems that the biggest flaw is their tutorial and I don't believe that the game should be rated a 5 of 10 because of that. I'd give this game at least a 6 or 7 considering the fact that it is completely free to play and will only get better as time goes on. From what i've seen of it though, it's definitely worth playing. Hence why it's worth 6-7.

edit-Didn't realized I made this so long..
TL;DR- This deserves a 6 or 7 and is worth playing because it has a great F2P model, customization and gameplay despite poor tutorial
