It sounds like Final Fantasy Type-0 HD's been a decent success for Square Enix, as the publisher's announced that the remaster has shipped one million copies worldwide.
However, it'd be interesting to know just how many fans were swayed by the inclusion of Final Fantasy XV's playable demo, Episode Duscae. While Type-0's a good game in its own right, we reckon it's safe to say that without Noctis and the gang tagging along for the ride, it wouldn't have made quite the same impact on the market. But of course, that's just business.

There was a time anything Final Fantasy would sell 1 mil within a few days. I'm going to be interested to see what impact FF XV has. You'd think it would be a big seller but a lot of people hated the XIII series.
I wonder how SE will assess if type-0-esque Final Fantasies are worth making again in the future if their biggest selling point is a demo?
The game is alright, but you can tell it was developed for a portable console. The movement/gameplay is a little funky at times and I hate how everything feels so disconnected.
@zeldagaymer93 And what do you think of those hd graphics? I like the game and if anyone hasn't picked it up and is a ff fan you are missing out. But the graphics are grim.
I did not like the gameplay, unfortunately. If they make a sequel, I hope they really work on that.

Part of the reason I haven't bought the game yet is the graphics. I'm not a graphics whore, but I'm not paying a premium price for a port of a portable game that really doesn't look that great. If it was in the $30-$40 range, I'd probably have bought it day one. Crisis Core was a good game and this seems to borrow some elements.
Cool now use some of that money to give me English subs for yakuza
@BLPs yeah. That speaks more of retailer demand than consumer demand, but of course they're intrinsically linked. Still, it's not the same because the games might not move that quickly.
@jefedemuchanina Isn't Yakuza Sega?
Im enjoying it actually. The graphics arent that bad and the story exciting. The camera and the pacing could use more attention but it was a PSP game after all. But its true I really bought for the XV demo Which was awesome.
Dont want to get into an argument here, but saying the graphics arnt that bad is like saying right said Fred wasn't that camp or Gail Platt off coronation street doesn't look much like a turtle. We all know the graphics are absolutely terrible, Zelda ocarina of time has better textures and a higher polygon count.
Well that's a good thing. Now the retailers re-stock and see how well it sells after the first few weeks. If they dont sell much then expect nice discounts by mid-June with some digital discounts right before.
I'm still really enjoying the game despite the motion blur and any "disconnection" in the controls. Being a port to an old game that never got released in the US, I was still happy to pay the 60 bucks.
Pretty good considering it was a remake of a psp game, and to many the only point to it was the demo.
