Re: Guide: How to Escape Bloodborne's Death Dealer Prison in Yahar'gul, Unseen Village

alphadrago5

I got to this part really early in the game, and I didn't know that there was a lamp at the top of the stairs, so I ended up farming the pigs until I figured out how to deal with the death dealers easily, than I killed a bunch of them and took out the boss after a few tries. That Darkbeast paarl was easily one of the hardest bosses in the game for me. At least with the hunter's axe. Later killed him easily in chalice dungeon with ludwig's holy blade.

@Superstick I've played the rest of the souls games, and out of all of them, this one by far has the easiest set of trophies. The others all have a bunch of collect all these items and learn all these gestures and spells and so on, and with the small amount of collectables in this game and lack of spells, it's not all that difficult. At this point the only trophies i'm missing are the two normal endings (already did the "true" ending) and a couple of chalice ones.
It probably helps that i've had time to put in at least 40 hours into the game since getting it.

Re: Do You Want to Make Bloodborne Really Easy?

alphadrago5

I'd agree with the whole cheap and ruin things part, if not for the fact that all the stats have relatively low soft caps.. so even if you're getting like say level 1000 and invest all your points in endurance, you'll only be like 10 points higher than someone level 100 who put all their points in stamina. If even that much.
So i'm not too worried, especially considering that NO ONE SHALL SURVIVE SEEING MY LUDWIG'S HOLY BLADE!

Re: Sony: Free-to-Play Will Become a Big Chunk of Our Revenues in the Future

alphadrago5

Just saying, some of my favorite games so far have been f2p.
Most notably warframe on ps4. I've spent over $200 on that game as well as probably 250 hours.
You can't just assign a $60 price tag to games that are being constantly updated. I figure that if I can play a game for over 100 hours and not be tired of it yet, than it deserves my money.

Re: This Is What Happens When PS4 Share Play Goes Wrong

alphadrago5

Just saying.. he was only trying to glitch to level faster. Maybe if the leveling in Destiny wasn't so incredibly dull and tiresome this wouldn't have happened. Wink Wink Nudge Nudge Bungie give us moar xp! I swear if I have to re-level all my exotics again when house of wolves comes out then Bungie is never getting any of my money again. At least not for Destiny.

Re: Talking Point: Are Bigger Open Worlds Really Better?

alphadrago5

I think the size of the world should directly correspond to the amount of detail and lore that the developers can place into it. I think the infamous games and From Software's Souls series got it right. I figure that as long as I actively want to explore the area wholly at least once, then it's done right.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Most Memorable PlayStation Multiplayer Feats?

alphadrago5

For me I'd say, beating Jetstream Sam in Metal Gear Rising on Revengeance difficulty after taking no damage in less than a minute. It still didn't give me a bloody S rating, but whatever.. I was just glad I could stop restarting that level after 5 hours of trying. Likewise for the last boss in the game.. Seriously that soundtrack was the only thing keeping me going. So awesome.
Also the time I won against 3 red phantoms at once in Dark Souls 2.

Re: Analysts: Xbox One Will Catch Up to PS4 in 2015

alphadrago5

Not that I don't think Halo will be good for the xbone, but i'm fairly confident that it wont be enough to pull ahead of PS4 for the year, or even half of it. The other exclusives offered by microsoft so far haven't exactly impressed the public.. cough titan fall, sunset overdrive cough. And most of the ones announced at E3 haven't even released yet. Thinking about it now, most of the new IP's this year for both consoles have been really disappointing. That's probably going to turn off a lot of developers from making new AAA games in the future.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V PS4 Patch Problems Preventing Online Access

alphadrago5

I played a bit of the game last night till 2am and it worked fine for me. Aside from an issue where I couldn't swap characters in online and had to reopen the application, it worked great. Haven't played since like March so it's nice to see all my stuff intact. Also the new music is a very welcome addition.

Re: PS4 Exclusive Bloodborne Really Does Look Putrid

alphadrago5

I got an email for the alpha tests too .
Too bad I missed out on the first one yesterday. Only got like 20 minutes of play in. From what I saw though, it's super cool. Gameplay and controls are smoother than ever and for once in the series I feel like the animations are actually realistic (and awesome). Excited for full release.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Pay for an EA Access Subscription on PS4?

alphadrago5

Absolutely not. Considering the only two games in the near future i'd play from the list are battlefield and dragon age, and I don't even like battlefield..
Yeah i'm better off buying my game(s) than supporting another subscription. I can definitely see other companies taking part in the subscription bandwagon, so hopefully sony's refusal puts an end to that before it's even begun.

Re: Soapbox: Why Destiny Still Has a Lot to Prove to Me

alphadrago5

@wunsen While you probably could've worded that a lot better, I do agree with what you said. Personally I think the bosses are too easy after beating them a dozen times throughout the alpha and beta. Even the enemies leading up to the bosses have gotten nerfed since the alpha, as I can easily finish a strike alone without dying at this point. Although I can agree with every single point that sammy made, I don't think that they are meant to be so focused. Bungie has stated before that they want the end-game to be the primary focus for Destiny. We haven't even seen any raids yet or the other pvp modes, so there is no reason to cancel pre-orders off of what we've seen alone. Plus i'm expecting holiday updates, so i'm curious as to how they'll do those...

Re: Feature: The PS4 Destiny Diaries - Day One: Why Wouldn't You Want to Be a Robot?

alphadrago5

Personally I love my awoken huntress. Even playing the same content again with the same character as from alpha, I immensely enjoy playing the hunter because it seems almost like a "hard mode" for the game especially when playing alone on difficult missions. I'm not saying the other classes are better, just that playing Hunter seems to be for more advanced players. The way I play is reminiscent of the MGS games.. cuz i'm all tactical n' stuff.

Re: We Still Don't Know What the Heck's Going on in PS4 Shooter VizionEck

alphadrago5

From the video this seems like something that would be a mod to another game rather than a stand-alone title. The red blast when you die seems like it would be pretty annoying since it makes it impossible to see past it for a few seconds, but some of the maps with the tall buildings seem like they would be fun to play on. Gonna need a lot more info on this before buying. If it's like 20$ though on psn i'll get it day one.
