The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited has had a decent media campaign. Alongside plenty of informative gameplay videos, it's also had a rather epic 20 minute CG trailer. With the game's release this week, it's all been going smoothly - until now.
In just two minutes, the title's newest trailer has made us cringe so hard that we've opened a portal to Oblivion here in the office, and daedra are now pouring out, hopefully eager to release us from this Hell. Okay, so it's not that bad in the sense that it does show off what you can do with friends, but some of this dialogue is beyond redemption, and the ultra stereotypical casting is atrocious.
Are you sitting shaking your head just like us, or are we simply typically jaded journalists? Cast yourself into Oblivion in the comments section below.

I found it funny, I am playing MMORPGs for almost ten years and there is always a Tony
Can wait for it! My copy will arrive today so I just hope I will get the big patch before the opening of the servers!
Downloaded and ready to roll, can't wait gunna be an all nighter.
my gawd...reminds me we will be seeing more of these awful videos next week.
This trailer just reminded me why I GREATLY prefer single player games...
I've seen far worse... And there will be way worse to come next week!...elder scrolls downloaded and ready to go(imperial edition.. Shared across our 2 ps4 so it's actually not a bad price)... Only just over 5 hours to go.. Come one midnight!!
Also found it funny. Mostly because all those things that Tony was doing were things that I would totally do while playing with my friends. In addition to trying to solo dungeons on my own (and usually failing).
@Splat Yup, same feelings exactly.
I thought it was funny, and also while it did not appeal to me as a gamer (I'm with @splat), I think there's a demographic out there who will be excited because of the trailer.
Cheese! And lots of it. Though I'm sure it appeals to some... the kind I quickly delete from my 'friends' list.
Yea umm exaggerate much? Not the most epic multi-player trailer but no where near as bad as the article makes it to be either. A lot of people still picking this up (including the cringe induced jaded journalists, but they will be picking it up for journalistic purposes only of course).
@LordBagardo @lostraider Yeah, I'll be reviewing it. I enjoyed the beta, love Elder Scrolls, but this trailer is bloody terrible.
I am a big fan I skyrim. This elder scrolls has let me down, already. I enjoy the aspect of being able to play with friends, but they ruined skill trees, how the bow is used in-game, and other aspects. I have given the game two chances, but I keep getting disappointed and frustrated, resulting in me turning my x-box off... I give it a 5/10
